  1. Switched off, huh?
  2. OOOOOOH! You are naughty. But I don't like you, Manfer. :019:
  3. Stevico Just put it down to experience . We are sure that you did it for the best of reasons. The difference between being a teenager and an old man who has not led a sheltered life is that when you are the former and think you know everything ( :019: ) you are more than willing to rush in where Angels fear to tread. The upside of that is that unbounding confidence can sometimes pay off handsomely but, if you fail, the pratfall can be vicious. Of course, ..............you have the rest of your life to recover so :D However, when you are the latter figure, you are so un-nerved by the experiences that you have endured and of the pitfalls that you now know can befall you if you make a hasty or wrong decision , that you are afraid to risk anything and by the time that you make up your mind the opportunity has , more than likely, vanished. The upside in this situation is that you have nothing to look forward to except the pipe and slippers so you have the perfect excuse to do absolutely nothing. And that is why you see so many elderly grandfathers and grannies contentedly enjoying a puff of the pipe, a comfy fine chair by the fire and a wee secret snifter to end his exciting day. :D
  4. Oh My! Where is Footballers' s wife whwn we need her ? To adjudicate, like......... What a tangled web we weave others to deceieve !!!!!! Let's call it quits then and agree on one thing : ----- The two bridges are Jeff and Lloyd. :019: And that'a a wrap.
  5. Well there you have it . Another flair personality down the tubes. Sigh! No wonder the footie at Tulloch is boring, or so I am led to believe. By the way , have I missed something? I thought the the word Tulloch as in Tulloch Stadium was about to be replaced by "The Jock MacDonald Stadium". Has this change been vetored by the Management for some reason ?
  6. Terrific player. Fantastic skill. This is the first time that I have seen any real footage of him. Beautiful athlete, superbly balanced, no wasted, effort-- not like a headless chicken running around. Acelerates effortlessly and ball control superb. Delkicate touches everywhere. Just a delight to experience his performamnce. Maybe his greatest gift is his cool head----and his confidence. Ah dear , why would anyone want to let him go without endless effort to keep him and allow him to improve.? As somneone said, a joy to watch and worth the price of admission alone,
  7. So it's not very windy in Inverness just now after all. And I was sure that it had to be a Bridge Over Troubled Water. Just shows you how wrong one can be. Eh?
  8. Just to lighten the tone and be a bit facetious but if he is from County his first name must be Benjamin...Eh? Come to think of it he woudl be able to dance to ICT's tune for sureand would not miss a beat.
  9. I suffer from achilles tendons paining me under my heels. In the morning almost can't walk fer heaven's sake.So I found that by stretching the calf muscles I was able to eliminated the pain. I stand with both sets of toes balanced on the edge of a stair thread and let the weight of my body do the rest. Now to more important matters. TB has nothing to lose by bringing Zadi back in with orders to stay out of our defensive area, get the ball and rampage upstream to unsettle the opposition. He should be accompanied by a general stream of bodies following him en masse all chanting Zebi, Zebi. The big fellow would go mental...... At least you would have some entertainment and , let's face it .......T. B. has nothing to lose, so it seems .
  10. Manfer--but if you frequently pass back to your own players and don't lose goals does this mean that immediately after he releases the ball ICT will score because the opposite of going forward to score goals is to backwards to score them? As in "Im walking backwards for Christmas"---...??
  11. Unfortunately the last poster is right. But...... Whether he was being abused from the stand or not , in his position, which must command respect ,he is expected to exercise discipline over his actions and emotions. However, in his position he is also not in a position to fight back and so restraint must be exercised by the fans so that they don't go completely over the top. If the abuse to which people say he was subjected was constant and laced with swearing or expletives ....whatever...then it should equally be the club's responsibility to identify and warn these fans that their conduct is unacceptable, just as much as they may consider discussing the matter with T.B. Not only because "it's a family club" but if that is all that they want to do at a football then match who needs them? Do they go to enjoy themselves or do they go to vent their spleen and viciousness. Who needs that anywhere ? Many times at a match a fan can become frustrated and angry but constntly throwing this kind of garbage at the Manager is counter -productive. It's the players on the pitch that are ALSO equally responsible for poor performance and is it not supposed to be a team game ?
  12. Whatever the reason for the poor form I think that if he quit his Scotland job to devote 100% of his energy to ICT then some of the the fans on here would be more lenient on him. The way the season is shaping up he should decide in the very near future where his job and club loyalties lie. Otherwise that sinking feeling is not going to go away. In the stomach and in the league. Maybe a poll on this issue would crystallise opinion for all to see?
  13. Apart from putting down Butcher, how is the spirit in the team overall? Just a thought........
  14. Manfer--you copy-cat you
  15. Noted . I thin I now have it under .....control.
  16. I have heard of Henry Winkler But Tommy the Tinkler.....c'mon!!
  17. Sometimes IHE I wonder if you are talking with your tongue in your cheek. In this case I hope so, anyway.
  18. Maybe pressing F5 is more efficient.Hmmmmmmm.... Crowd is 3,011.

I was wondering why the thread was stuck on my post and suddenly relaised that thetghread needed updating. There you go. Crown Jaggie 47 degrees.? You must have air conditioing in all buildings? Goodness , and I was thinikng that 38 in Vancouver was just about as much as we could bear this Summer !
  20. HI Scotty Very cold here. How about your City?
  21. So everybody is "back" but we still lose one. A mountain now to climb. Unbelievable.
  22. Birdog If a tinkler is also derogative what term would you use for a litle boy standing around a toilet enjoying his performance and thinking about joining the local fire brigade when he grows up. Check your post--you said it...
  23. Your advices about the "hedging" is noted and understood. Thanks for that. It doesn't matter to me how many times I have to try or what site I am looking at because, for most people ,it is clear that you are working your self to death to keep the site going and our irritations shrink into nothing compared to your challenges.
  24. Site is not very stable today. E.G. I start typing in this box and end up on the front page . Access is a bit slow and ,once in , definitely slower to bring up the varieous selected webpages. Ia have also experienced "flood control enabled " twice in the last few minuters. The first time I saved the typed text as instructed then was unable to understand how to get the saved text onto the thread. So I went back , saw a reply button at the bottom of the thread again and, keeping my fingers crossed, I clicked reply. I do not know whether thiesis the way to actually post a saved entry but it worked somehow--maybe once you save it, however, it works automatically once the flooding is over? Input please.
  25. Logged on to caleythistle ONLINE about fifteen minutes ago but got the server dowen page instead. Then I went to the offline site and got the "if you are seeing this then the online site is off" etc. So I used the "HERE" link to see what was happening and to my great surprise it immediately came up with the online site 100%. So I tried clicking this link again and the same thing happened and I was in on the online site. Therefore I went back to my desktop shortcut icon for the ONLINE SITE and sure enough I was in , in a flash. Trust this is helpful. Time here is now 12 noon (8 p.m. in te U.K.)
