Aw Mee, come back ,allus ist forgiven or summat. ICT is ICT and Smith is only one medium size cog in a wheel which is bigger than its parts. I got that out of Wikipedia so it must be true. :001:

There could not have been a head-butt since Ian Black would have had as serious an injury as Monsieur Lennon which as we all know was a blood-filled horrendous injury reminiscent of Bannockburn. Poor Ian Black hid his discomfort at the horreendous concussion which he suffered very well did he not? A real trooper one might say. LOL :016:

ulp. Now I have tried to advise that Scotland are 3 up. But this post has never materialised on the thread. I am a bit flummoxed by the problems with these posts. And it is telling me that instead of accepting the post and simply embedding it on the thread I should maybe review mine again since another posting has been registered. Like....why? And how do I review it if it won't accept it??????

I started out by being informed that my site username is non-existent, After I had brought my raised eyebrows back down into position and closed my dropping jaw I tried to reply to your post.Well I posted here from vancouver in Western Canada but the post never registered. Oh Dearie, dearie! Then I cheered up when I saw we were 2-1 up ---that is unbelievable. Try BBC Sports--they have a videoprinter that updates every two minutes. And I have already seen a photo of Kenny Miller turning away from the firts goal in joyous mood accessed from one of their links. If you are as flexible as rubber man and can afford to spend enough desperate time trolling through all their myriad of links on BBC Sports you can usually find something . Cheers S.P. Totally awful I agree.

What I read from these posts is not that he should not lower his play standards, rhythm etc, but that he should up the work rate and and take a higher leadership role -like Brew. If he did , and showed more determination and faster pace. etc, maybe he would look more convincing as a committed player---i.e. in the Don Cowie mould. Aty this stage, however, with ICT delicately balanced between success and failure don't expect Brew to be harsh with him any time soon..... So--just watch and wait. :024:

Wot no Jock for some time? LOL :016:

It's questionable that dropping him will shatter his confidence. Using that logic would result in no-one would being dropped. Then we could get into disagreements about whom we should , or should not, drop on the basis of how much we liked the person. In life if you don't perform you are fired or demoted and if you are lucky you get another chance. Usually you have to leave that employment and get a grip and do better elsewhere and maybe be very successful. In short, getting dropped is not the end of the world. He can prove himself again. Bruce had seven spider failures allegedly before he succeeded .So what it boils down to may be whether M. Fraser has the character to come back from a dropping , whether it be a rain one or a Chinese Kentucky Flied Chickel one? :002: If the argument is that if he is dropped we have nobody better to cover then that is a different ball-game altogether. And that is the responsibility of the Management to decide on that one. :012: Hope I am not dropping the ball here ? :rolleyes02:

The white strip looks very sharp and crisp. The black one just classy.

He also learned from other peoples' mistakes. At Dundee United , for example, he bit off more than he could chew in so far as the situation there appeared to be very unstable with unwilling (or demoralised) players abounding on big salaries. And the swirling eddies of discontent , including the twirling Eddie Grocer, was too much for him to sort out all at once. He also came back to ICT at a propitious time , despite the controversy, since ICT were ripe for an upward surge and needed that steady guiding hand on the park from Brew after losing Dodds I think. At ICT, in contrast to Dundee United I feel he was looked upon as a possible saviour whereas at Dundee United he was looked upon as a Messiah -- i.e. all things to all people. Messiahs outrank Saviours in the religious scheme of things and therefore are not so frenetic but more passive--which means that his role at ICT will now be more semi-permanent than usual and he will be more passively active, rather than actively passive. I think. :015:

This is a no-brainer. There but for the grace of God go I! And I don't agree with the opinion that he brought the club into disrepute. After all, this is his personal life, and all he hurt was himself. He did not slander the club or anyone in it, he did not steal or rob the club of anything. And his standard of football does not show any significant reduction does it in which case surely he is giving the club value for his wages? He admitted the default honestly and faced up to the consequences. Good man Currently, 100% support until further notice. :022:

Thanks for the Falkirk clip--for us overseas it is like throwing a dog a bone. I was reading the texting for the Killie match this morning. A bit slow going. :008:

So do I--it's intensely insightful....and cute :015: As for the rest....luv-a-duck! :016:

Frank Kelly speaking ,I would like the broken record turfed out. He sounds like a very talented player so why not just say...."C.mon Marius, you can do it" and give the man a reasonable chance to get a goal or two. I suppose if ICT continue to win, no matter who scores, the naysayers will quieten down anyway. :023:

Just in case you are interested the Province of British Columbia is one and a half times the size of France. And Prince George lies about a thousand miles north of Vancouver as the Eagle flies. :002:

There you go Eliza-it is a small world isn't it? Mr Nixon did actually do a good job of putting on a gold cap which literally lasted for a very long time.Very durable material -I guess that is why they use it. However, once was enough for me and I never re-visited him. Mind you that may not be strictly true since he did pull out one of my lower molars, but whether it ws before or after my sad experience I cannot recall. Now why would a dentist pull out a molar at age 16 when he could have filled it. Maybe he had seen the wild look in my eye before and decided that a quick extraction was a safer course. It never went too well either since he broke the tooth into splinters as he pulled it. I should have impeached him.... :002:

I remember playing in the building sand on Fairfield Road close to the Bumbers Lane where they had started to build the houses in Dalneigh. That was about 1946 to 1950 or thereabouts.

The Spanish vessel that was shipwrecked on one of the Islands just North of the Orkney mainland was the flagship of the Armada.. The men who survived fraternised with some of the local girls and their offspring were thereafter named the Dons. Food was very scarce in these days and many of them were deliberately killed so that the local inhabitants did not starve. These Dons were never again allowed to mingle their blood with the Vikings on these islands and remained apart like a different breed. They had one thing in common with the Vikings' descendants--good seafarers and from all accounts were excellent seamen and fishermen. Maybe the Mr Herche® whom I knew is descended from one of them who fancied a more free life in the Scottish Mainland. My family knew the Herchers well and I find the information on here fascinating. I remember him as a small man and kind. He had a roudnabout with horses at the Shows in Nairn as I recall.

And don't forget to bring your amber from the beach at Riga..There might be a prehistoric insect entombed within one of the stones. ?

A power boat race in the canal ?--was it wide enough for two speedboats? The prefabs above the bridge-- I remember them well. I knew a boy named Don Callum, had lovely parents, who lived in one of the prefabs. Don was heaftier than me and was feeling his oats I think and anticipated a victory and kept pushing me to don the gloves. Finally I agreed and being of a lighter frame I kept his hefty punches at bay by dancing around. Then I gave him a flick on the face and to my utter astonishment he burst into tears whereupon mum came out and started laughing which made matters worse and that ended the soft shoe shuffle. Maybe I picked up some resin from the adjoining tree and when I rubbed it in his eyes maybe that made them water . :015: Anyway, we remained pally thoughand no harm was done. I remember having a meal once in the Roadhouse across the bridge and I remember IHE telling us that he whizzed down the Leachkin brae without brakes on his bike--that must have been a sight for sore eyes LOL . By the way, I was reading that the Council or some other official body has decided to build a road tunnel under the canal to obviate road line-ups and congestion when the bridge has to be opened for a ship but the article did not mention where--Telford street or up by the Cemetery--does anyone know the location? Will start in a couple of years' time , maybe 3. :014:

If Barrowman is that good maybe we could borrrowhimman. As for Cowie the catch phrase is "he is a very hard worker"-= Remember if you want something done give it to a busy man. :023:

Scotty If the team keeps this up do you think that the BBC will relent and allow all four of us here in Canadaland to get to listen too? :016:
