  2. for Barry ... excellent comments
  3. I think it is probably better to compare Rory with Barry Robson than Martin Bavidge ... Although they dont play in the same position, the similarities are closer ... Barry was a raw youngster with bags of potential who needed regular games at a decent level to progress .... this sounds very like Rory. Barry was not amused when sent to Forfar but sometimes you need to take a step back to go two steps forward and I definitely think this loan spell did him the world of good and he became a better player because of it. We all know that on his day he can be one of the best wingers in the SPL but whether CB gets the best out of him, or sees the moody and petulant side of him will be another question .... In Rory's case, he has been touted as a really hot prospect and he has certainly shown skill when on the park. However, he is not a first-team SPL player yet and treating him as such might actually make him go backwards. If he fails to score regularly or misses chances and the fans get on his back his head may go down. As he is an Aberdeen boy, a full season loan to the likes of Peterhead, who have ICT goalscoring legend Iain Stewart in charge may actually do the boy some good .... ?????
  4. mmm ... clubguide > ticket prices on main menu perhaps ........ :004:
  5. I would like to think that the majority of decent fans do not have a problem with other fans who happen to be disabled, or those who may have become disbled through the course of their life and reading some of the comments on bad treatment within this thread disturbs me. Certainly, as far as I am aware, the crew in the Innes has done nothing to make one particular disabled fan feel anything less than a part of our group. We got to know Colin very well over a number of seasons and his disability was inconsequential to us as we just treated him like any other fan. Thanks to the likes of Bronson (his carer at that time), Govan Jaggie, and others, Colin made numerous trips to both the TCS and to many away days and also appeared on the website quite a few times in some of our pictures from games/pubs .... Bronson in particular also did a lot to educate both supporters and some at the club about what was right and also what was wrong with arrangements at the TCS. I know from comments that Bronson has made on the old site and in person, that the TCS is definitely not perfect, but that we do fare better than some grounds including Hampden, where Colin was made to sit in front of opposition supporters and without his carer .... however, those at the club responsible for providing adequate facilities for the disabled should perhaps take some time to listen to the disabled supporters themselves and their carers rather than make 'able-bodied' assumptions over what is adequate and acceptable ...... If the club are really that bad, and previous communication attempts have failed then that is sad. Hopefully you (Devlin), may decide to make further attempts to discuss it privately with the club who have a duty to listen. I would also recommend that you consider passing the information to the Supporters' Trust who have said they will bring issues affecting supporters to the attention of the club.
  6. The transfer window starts on 9/6/06 and runs to 31/8/06 which is in line with FIFA regulations :011:
  7. Heard a whisper that we will also play County towards the end of July !! Maybe the lads are fitting in their break to Italy or wherever in between those dates ?
  8. The page says "NO UNEMPLOYED/DISABLED/STUDENT WALK UP CONCESSIONS" To me, this implies that pre-purchased tickets are £12 but 'walk-up' tickets are £19
  9. Me - given the degenerating conversation, i thought that Anything Goes was a better place ..... but at least now when we move a thread, we can choose whether to leave a 'shadow' in the original place that links to the moved thread
  10. Perth routemap here ... http://hmssneck.com/ict/maps/hm4/hm4.htm
  11. Seems to be a habit with these guys ....... [attachment deleted by admin]
  12. nahh .... he tried !!! Honor Fraser - popped into one game when visiting Beauly Gordon Ramsay - probably came as a guest of the club when filming at Glen Mhor Sean Connery - was to be at SNP conference in Inverness so Jim asked him to come, or to be a member of his supporters club or something (cant quite remember) and a pic of him with an ICT shirt super-imposed was used in the papers. Tony Blair - visited stadium when Labour conference in Inverness, organised by David Stewart MP I believe. for some reason, I also have it in my head that Prince Andrew visited the stadium but I cant remember if thats true or not.
  13. Honor Fraser .... came to one match I think !
  14. I have said it for years .... here are some of the things I would like to see ..... 3 leagues of 16 .... which means 6 more ambitious new teams can come in - ICT, County, Gretna, Peterhead, and even Elgin havent done that badly when compared to some of the perpetual table proppers in the 3rd !! Play each other once at home and away meaning 30 games and to offset the 'lost' 3 (or possibly 4 in SPL) home games initiate a divisional cup ... a bit like the Challenge cup but for the repective divisions only .... Guaranteed 2 up, 2 down each season. If a team does not have a 6000 all seated stadium (for SPL) then they can use the seated part they do have until they build it. Give them a grace period of 1 season where they can use the increased revenues from the higher league to help them meet the required standard. If the SPL arent prepared to give teams a full season to get stadia up to SPL standard, then get rid of March 31st deadline - teams in lower leagues usually dont know if they will get promoted in March and spending money 'speculatively' could kill a lower league club if they dont win the title after taking the financial gamble. By all means give a team till 31st March to apply for the SPL, but give them until start of season to have the ground ready ! If Tullochs can build 2 stands in 43 days, then any team in that spot can surely give David Sutherland a ring to have their stadium ready for the new season !!! Get rid of the USH requirement - the costs are too high and it ruins the pitch as we know. Making St Mirren install it for maybe 1 season is also ludicrous. Change the rules to read 'adequate pitch protection' which would allow for 'blankets', air domes etc. If a club has more than 'x' number of games called off when other teams are ok, then they could be fined ..... we all know how few games ICT had called off before we installed the USH and County's problem doesnt seem to be snow or cold weather but 'drainage' and USH only makes that worse !!! Enable a system to allow ambitious teams from 'non-league' roots to get into the senior setup - including HFL, South/East Scotland leagues and Juniors ... (not sure how that would work, but like the idea !!)
  15. Well done to the younger lads .... but also well done to Charlie for actually giving them a chance. Even with 7th place assured, do you think CB would have rotated the squad for this game ?
  16. Ok - to get us away from Julyan being the first and only 'celebrity' fan .... lets not forget that Inverness lad, and Scottish TV news reporter, (head reporter now i think ? ... sure someone will correct me if wrong) Mike Edwards, who may be better known to those of you in the central belt has been a Caley Thistle fan for donkeys years ..... long before we ever reached the SPL.
  17. not me ... I still have 3 hours to go ;) .... although for the USA, it happened on 5th April .....
  18. I split the Technical issues about the HM4 thread into a new thread in the Tech Support - Website forum
  19. straws and clutching spring to mind ..... if Scotland gets a 2nd Intertoto place that will be good .... not every country takes up their allocation and UEFA divvy it up to other countries !! .... If not, then good luck to Gretna in the UEFA cup ... what a fairytale ..... I am starting to like Gretna just a little bit ... ok they bought their way up the leagues in a similar fashion to Livi, but after hearing a few interviews with the chairman, who seems down to earth, and noting what he did for our very own 'Charlies Angels' that fact doesnt bother me as much as it did when it was Livi ....
  20. ICT 2-0 Falkirk so far Russell Duncan ( 18 ) Craig Dargo ( 30 )
  21. I think I am also correct in saying that this is the FIRST EVER match that Mark Brown has not started since he signed for the club .....
  22. Experimental enough for ya ?? :) [attachment deleted by admin]
  23. A few soirees in the 'Slug and Lettuce' bar in Toronto to get in shape for a late summer trip to Denmark & Sweden with a slight detour to Inverness for 3 or 4 days on the way back .... culminating in a (no doubt) drunken experience at a wedding on the west coast .......
