  1. I'm more concerned at no OTJ or Foran next week against Celtic!
  2. There wasn't a dull moment yesterday that's for sure!
  3. As you say reason is lack of bodies. I sold inside once but hardly sold any!
  4. If you check out the travel thread there's a hospitality offer as well!
  5. I would nt like to be you when he sees this lol!!!
  6. Norma ifs funny how we remember the good times but forget the bad. If you remember back it was a real struggle the first few months we were in the 1st division and it only became "fun" after christmas when we went on our unbeaten run especially away from home. I remember being at Firhill in Dec and we lost, you couldnt see the pitch for fog and Ive never been so cold in my life! it certainly wasnt fun that day.
  7. With respect OCG this is not so. If you re-read my post you will notice I said "our team played a fabulous opening 20 minutes and showed some urgency after the break." and "penalty (brilliantly saved by Ryan)" and "some of our new guys look promising". This team will come good in time - but we have to acknowledge that the disciplinary record over the last year (especially at home) has cost us dear in terms of results. My second point (as above) was about doing something about discipline. My first point is that - while there are many positives about our club's treatment of supporters - there are still some niggles that need to be addressed when it comes to relations with supporters. Making it easier for a man and a boy to get through the Main Stand turnstiles when paying cash was a problem on Saturday. It needs fixed. But one of the other major niggles has been stewarding. As mentioned by someone else on another post, I also saw the stewards being OTT on Saturday in the way they dispossessed a harmless looking older lady of a small juice bottle as if she was about to cause mayhem, bloodshed and carnage in the North Stand. Yeah, I know 'rules are rules' but this was a harsh application of the rules. I well recall the last time we had really good atmosphere at a home match - versus Dunfermline some seasons ago. A good sized group of fans had gathered on the uncovered section of the Main Stand. They were fantastic - great singing, good natured banter and really getting behind the team. But they were standing, so the men in yellow weighed in heavy-handedly, ejected poor old Immortal Howdenender and snuffed out the atmosphere. Meanwhile, ever since then, away fans can stand and do whatever they like and are left alone by the stewards. I have faithfully followed ICT for many seasons and if you check my earlier posts you will see that I have always endeavoured to be positive. But the reason I have made my original comments on this post is in the hope that maybe someone in a position of influence in our club might read what I have written and take note of what an ordinary supporter has to say. Maybe its a vain hope - but you never know. My main concern is that we get the missing fans back at the stadium supporting their team and helping with the club's finances. What can be more positive than that? Apologies A96 prehaps on retrospect I was a little harsh. As a mum who takes her kids to games I know how expensive it is and as for stewarding well dont get me started!!!! I like the start of the season personally. I like the optomistic feeling it has but reality soon sets in. It just seems that a lot of folk are being negitive at the moment sometimes about things that cant be sorted. However it would be a boring old world if we all stuck to the party line so all opinions should be welcome. I dont know what the answer is to getting the missing fams back. It seems to me that the club is working hard for the fans at this time and the only way I can see that we would be able to employ more staff/players is to get more money in. The problem is that theres not a lot of money about. As for customer service well I think the club probably does its best given the resources it has. If more people could maybe volunteer to help then maybe things would get better. if you have specific ideas for instance re the turnstiles why not contact the club and discuss them. I am certain you would get a hearing.
  8. The 50 p bit comes free with the magazine or can be bought alone. Interesting that on here no one seems to mind much about the change but on Saturday the older male supporters ( mostly) hated the new format!
  9. Finding some posts a bit depressing lately tbh! To the original poster ive reread your post a couple of times to check but as far as I can see that despite getting free tickets you have nothing good to say about your visit on Saturday at all. With regard to the turnstiles, unless they changed it on Saturday, there are normally signs above the turnstile stating if it is a ticket only gate or accepts cash. It normally states the prices as well. I also know they were training turnstile folk as well on Saturday. With regards pricing well if I go to the theatre and want to sit in the best seats well they will be the most expensive. The club offer cheaper seats in the family section and the north stand but the main stand are our premium seats. Think other clubs operate on this basis also. I do agree that football is expensive for families but it's not going to change soon. I also disagree that our point was not deserved in fact had it not been for a great save from a nick Ross shot we would have won! As for the pen and sending off well I don't think either were done to annoy the fans! This time last season was dire and we have 2 more points than then. I'm just waiting for a few weeks when the county tickets go on sale to see all the stay aways coming out of the woodwork! Then at new year there will be the moans when folk can't get away county tickets as folk haven't renewed their season tickets. Actually wonder what sort of team people think we should have on our budget? For me I want a team that tries their best to play football but not to the extent that we lose, a team that looks united and includes some local lads. I'm quite happy with the progress so far.
  10. Anyone wanting to help the club financially Wait a minute sub standard football i can moan about, but sub standaard car parking with a 50% increase in price I can't tolerate. We have to travel over 50 miles home and decide to wait half an hour or more before trying to get out of the car park. We went to a game at Motherwell a couple of years ago and were in Edinburgh after the game - at a time we wouldn't even have been out of the ICT car dump. Does anyone else have suspicions that it is more than coincidental that the price goes up and suddenly it becomes illegal to park on the kerb? On another point - what is happening with the match programmes? See the thread on the monthly magazine with regards to the programme.
  11. It's still a work in progress but I think this team is much better than last season. I also feel Terry has bought well considering his budget. I do think that folk need a reality check re who we can buy. We are not M@S shoppers more like pound stretchers!
  12. Wikipedia, on the subject of the offside rule, states: "Offside position" is a matter of fact, whereas committing an "offside offence" occurs when a player is "actively involved" and is subject to the interpretation of the referee. Anyone see a parallel? Dunno lol? The women steward won't understand this though. I appologise to all women posters on here, I do value your input, its often better than some men on here anyway. Saved? Dunno lol
  13. Can't wait to see the Dear Johndo page lol
  14. Where is the benefit in me joining it? I would quite happily contact the people involved and tell them what they should be doing better. Do you really think they doing everything they can? Why are you sitting back expecting others to sort things?
  15. What is wrong with a lot of folk on here! I agree that the attendance today was disappointing but to have a go at the very folk who are trying to change things for the fans is ludicrous. Peter Murphy and all the guys at Caley Jags Together work sooo hard behind the scenes all for no financial reward. Today there was free hospitality for fans for instance. Just a few weeks ago there was the kids kick about day with loads of kids having a fab time with the players and free stadium tours. These things don't just organise themselves. If the OP has ideas that can increase attendances then why not contact he club or the guys on the board of Caley Jags Together with ideas instead of having a go at the folk that work hardest to change things!
  16. Sorry Don not disbelieving what you say but I clearly saw OTJ throw a right hook! Coulnt believe what I was seeing to be honest.
  17. What do folk think of the new magazine? Thought there might have been comments on here given the reaction of some at the game at the lack of a traditional programme. BTW if the chap who thought it cool to shout at a young teenage girl selling programmes is on here - Not Cool!
  18. Looking forward to this one!!!
  19. It's not really totally clear what happened on this clip so I don't think it can be proved either way. Don't think Guy will be able to appeal on this clip either!
  20. thanks Rene was just about to post this myself. Still doesnt look too clear what happened tbh although there is a lot of fuss elsewhere re this clip. Draper was down for ages so if he was acting he did a really good job. Hope there was contact as I cant condone getting a fellow pro sent off for nothing.
  21. Out of interest where did he predict Dundee would finish?
  22. Yup me plus 3!
  23. Im collecting momey at St Mirren on saturday from someone so if anyone else wants to pay there thats fine.
  24. My claim to fame is that I am mentioned in said book! Also remember going to the book launch in the caley club which was a very boozy lunch and then having to take a cake to the childrens ward at raigmore afterwards. Probably there are pics somewhere. Think my copy is in my loft.
  25. Not bothered that its Dundee now as Dunfermline are not going to be selling their famous bridies next season!!!!!!
