  2. words cannot express my delight, just can't wait till tynecastle next weekend!
  3. Jambo's used to sing: There's only one dennis Wyness There's only one Dennis Wyness He used to be Sh!te But now he's alright Walking in a Wyness wonderland we could sing somthing back at them along those lines but perhaps with some great superlative than 'alright' I mean what rhymes with top scorer????!
  4. wierd, sounds like it's either your disk or your drive, but seen as the disks have worked fine on your other computer maybe it is the drive (probably not what you want to hear). Hopefully it's a quick fix like some dust of the laser.
  5. Nice to see all those retail units opposite TK maxx/next to the bus station are STILL empty when i was up last weekend. what the **** is going on? okay they arn't ideally lcated but i get the feeling the rent must be sky-high
  6. I'm gonna be there, dunno about the diggers though, what about the roseburn for prematch drinks, it's dead close to the macleod street turnstiles in all.
  7. Have tried different discs. Have tried different software. If I try to make disc as MP3, it wont play in cd player at all and i get "ERROR" message. If i convert the tracks from MP3 to wav, Cd player will play thro 3-4 tracks then give the "ERROR" message again This might seem stupid - but are you making the disks up a MP3 Cd's (ie as a sofware type disk) or are you copying them as an audio CD? What software are you using? If you can fit more than 80 mins oif music on the disk then you are burning it as a format that will not play on a normal CD player. Hope this doesn't seem patronising but i've obviously no idea how computer savvy you are so i thought it was worth checking this. Rich
  8. :clapping03: :clapping03: well done marius son!
  9. Sounds like Fraser, Niculai and Rankin are all having good games, good times!

  12. It's not new, but I watched city of god for the 3rd time last week - an unbelieveable film. The best film i've seen in years i'd say.
  13. Agreed, you don't see intervews with Smith in the Record saying how close Brown is to the squad anymore (granted Smith is isn't in charge anymore :029:) point being though ... he is only one injury or bad performance by the normal keeper away from getting a starting spot ... if he starts a few games, and plays like he can, he will get called up ... and all the while he is hopefully building himself a nice wee nest egg as well. Good luck to him, he served us well, I just hope he has a bad game on the 16th if he plays. :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: well said, he will always be an ict legend but i understand why he went, footballers don't have long careers and they also have ambition therefore better pay and a bigger club with a chance of playing top level football are bound to be appealing.
  14. an airhorn i could almost understand as i've seen it done before at murrayfield - but a plastic one you blow into - that's a piggin' joke. what the **** are these guys playing at?
  15. You've really surprised me with that, Smee.... I've had nothing other than positive experiences with Inverness based East European migrants. My wife and I have, in the past couple of years, visited Krakow in Poland, and Bratislava in Slovakia visiting some great people, from friendships that were forged here in Sneck. I will be perfectly happy to see many more EE migrants taking root here... and to get this back on topic, if Asda goes some way to giving us that... Good on them... :022: Your comments pretty sum up my experiences as well. The fact is there are a-holes of all nationalities out there and i don't think you can make a presupposition on someone's personailty based on their nationality. I have met some wonderful people from eastern europe who I consider to be my friends now. Finally I've had people jump the queue at the bus stop before and it's not exactly unusual to find the guy or girl doing it is actually scottish. It's not really an etiquette which many people obey to be honest.
  16. That's the problem isn't it...? I would be happy with either Burley or Levein, but suspect that Roy Aitken will get the nod... (I'll be happy with that too, as long as Souness doesn't get a look in) Here, here. Speaking as a NUFC fan I will be devestated if Souness gets within a mile of the job.
  17. A tough one - I have spent more money than i care to think about on music gear in my life, and while it's a passion a lot of that stuff isn't exactly a necessity as i'm a bit of a collector. But one the other hand I watch TV about once every 3 weeks and the TV i watch it on is the biggest heap of crap you've ever seen. So what I ask myself is: is there much difference between me spending all my cash (and time) on things music related and someone doing the same on a computer? The only difference I can really see is that most people look on music as a much more positive thing than computer gaming - but to each individual they're still a passion arn't they?
  18. It's not just about playing music. If you want to get good work in the UK, you have to be seriously good. People think being a session player is like being a rockstar - it's the complete opposite. You need to really have a grasp of almost all styles, you need to be able to sight read, click well with the other band members, to play things PERFECTLY and first time in a studio to a degree of accuracy that most people would never hear or care about to be honest. And you also needs to have the right attitude and personality. There's a big difference in my opinions from playing music as a hobby and making a career out of it. It's still a lot of fun but it's seriously, it's not as simple as that - in my humble opinion it's one of the hardest professions to make a good living from - your exams and grades count for sod all, it's about how good you are, and that is directly related to how many hours a day you spend at it - which is why this forum is bad for my career prospects!
  19. how about you join us for some exercise for once?
  20. Old Inverness perhaps? God knows what's in that stuff - is it still on sale?
  21. It wisnae me and it wisnae you, but let's not reveal anything more than that, Richie!! (Trust all is well with you?) Aye, pretty good thanks. Who'd have thought I'd ditch the Economics and Business lark for music? Best move I ever made, seriously snowed under with bands, projects, recording sessions and all things jazz at the moment but in a good way. And yourself?
