Nope - my crystal ball reveals that we will survivre and prosper but the dealings of the last week will live long in the memory and will bring a bad taste to the mouth when remembered.

As I mentioned on another thread: 1. His training and diet regimes had our team playing at the height of their capabilities. 2. Many of the players will welcome him back and will "play" FOR him. 3. Niculae WILL benefit. Niculae is a Brewster-esque type of player - but potentially better. If he plays in the old Brew role, as coached by the man himself, he could be a major asset. At the moment he doesnt fit into the system or vice versa.

There could have been many feckin other names mentioned but these were the ones given - Do you announce a shortlist before you have contacted the candidates ?

Aint it amazing that all this hullabaloo has also taken the emphasis off Mr Niculae. Ya all know my feedback on his two away performances. Hopefully he has used the week to catch up on his fitness levels. Try not to be swayed by the hype and give me some honest, neutral feedback. Hope he gets us the three points and shows his worth.

Has anybody actually read anywhere that Warnock has made any statement confirming that he was approached ? I have seen nothing but press clippings to the contrary. Hope the press are reading this as Warnock's responses TODAY would make very interesting reading. The same question goes about Coyle and St Johnstone. Has there been any official comment by either of those two ?

The following is my psychological formulation and the message from ma teacup. :001: If Tonalt was privy to what has gone on behind the scenes and there is some issues with CC - he will not stay. I suspect that he is only carrying on fer the club and the players at present. I expect him to resign in the next week - It will be cited that the club desperately tried to convince him to stay but that he had to move on for personal reasons an/or he felt that he had to move on in the professional sense and allow the new manager scope to change things himself. Then the club can say that it was his decision and no pressure was applied. He was not included in the "plans" in April and I would put money on Duncan Shearer being appointed in Tonalts place. Lets just see if I am proved rite - YET AGAIN - No bad fer a havering, drunken old git!! Hope I am wrong tho. :024:
