  1. Oh dearie me Mantis, you ain’t got the hang of this game at all!
  2. They certainly know how to find the back of the net! Great to see them doing so well and I hope they’re building up a decent support behind them. Embarrassingly I have to admit I know sod all about the league structure for the ladies, about time I checked it out.
  3. HT: 0-0 FT: 2-1 ICT: Wotherspoon AU: Chalmers Crowd: 2275
  4. If you want to go to heaven when you die You’ve got to wear a Caley shirt and Caley tie You’ve got to wear a woolly bunnet With **** the County on it If you want to go to heaven when you die… …think that’s about right but it’s a helluva long time since I heard that one.
  5. Looking forward to hearing from those at the game. From the BBC match stats it looks like a great defensive effort and it seems like we’ve now got a really decent platform to build from.
  6. Sheridan replacing Billy up front…
  7. 5 points in the bag for Gringo’s NPL - gotta get your priorities right
  8. HT: 0-0 FT: 1-2 ICT: Wotherspoon DU: Fotheringham Crowd: 8011
  9. Off the back of Gringo’s brave sacrifice in our cause… ICT @ 6.00 ta
  10. Thanks MrCJ and Gringo, your efforts are much appreciated
  11. Cannae disagree with any of that bdu, just me and my accumulated pessimism after nearly 7 decades of hopeful and expected sporting success being mostly trashed - apart that is from the glory years of the Caley Jags rising up through the leagues, I’m probably in need of a voddie or three!
  12. Fingers crossed that the weekend derby tussle with the Pars didn’t take too much out of Raith - we could do with them giving Morton a right good humping tonight!
  13. While I agree with the sentiment that we really should be breezing through this tie I can’t help but feel we need to go into it with our eyes wide open. We know from our happy history how the slightest bit of complacency can dump a ‘big’ team out of a cup and Cowdenbeath will be well up for it. So while I’m looking forward to a 4 or 5 goal thumping to ease our way into the 4th round we’ll need to be at our sharpest to make sure we get the job done right.

  16. JET could do a good job for us in the Championship - things are definitely starting to look more interesting and hopeful…
  17. I can understand your worries, however, given the quality of the pair of them and the extra experience Wotherspoon brings, it’s a good reason to be optimistic. Just need to keep everything crossed they can both stay fit to help us climb out of the mire.
  18. Thank you kindly Mr Cameron
  19. I understand the loan spell is only until January. A couple of months at Forfar would be good for Cameron and us if he can get some decent game time there. Opens the possibility of him joining us on loan in January for the rest of the season, however, if there’s more chance of him getting a regular slot at Forfar rather than with us Newcastle would probably prefer him to stay where he is, albeit at a lower league level.
  20. Everything seems to have gone very quiet, any news about how the trialists got on last week? There was an article in the P&J yesterday talking about the possibility of getting David Wotherspoon but I’ve not found anything specific about it yet…
  21. Looking forward to hearing how the second half went and how everyone faired. Holding Partick to a draw and keeping a clean sheet against them has to be a major step forward - we would never have managed that two weeks ago!
