Can I just ask those who are unhappy with TB & MM who they see as suitable replacements at the same or less money or if they are available?
  2. There is no way any captain should react in such a way under any circumstances. He seems to me to be a bit of a bully, maybe just like his manager?

Personally I feel we put too much pressure on these kids to win and we tend to judge them all on results. We shouldn't forget that they are apprentices on a learning curve and clubs are guilty of sending too many of them to the scrap heap too early. It doesn't really matter that we beat Aberdeen what does matter is what did each player learn from the game and all the other games we have lost. The important thing is how many of this squad has the potential to progress to the next level which unfortunately is the first team squad. The step up is too big so I would suggest considerstion be given to a national U21 or U23 level subsidised heavily by the SFA. The only alternative is to reatin those who have potential (a costly option to the club) and have an arrangement with Elgin and SHFL clubs for a season's loan to see if they can cope with the more physical game. My feeling is that if the game continues on this route we, as a club with limited resources, will not be able to produce our own talent and we will always be dependent on short term loan deals. Will this take us forward and secure our prem league future?
  4. So the Tulloch shares have been transferred to a Trust, controlled by the builder - wow what a difference! Richard Smith now on board but still no money. I justcan't see why Sutherland would give up control for £250k? I'm sure you are also aware that Mr Smith has very strong connections with our Mr Sutherland - very convenient!
  5. But does anyone know if we have their money yet?
  6. Nice guy, loyal employee but NOT the quality we need for SPL. He really would be better finding a club where he played regular first team football and the fans appreciated him. Some people on here should take a look at themselves first and leave the boy to get on with his job. :annoyed:
  7. I wonder if we have the money yet. Smithy seems comfortable in the black seats and I haven't seen Sandy Catto for a while.I still feel it strange that £250k buys so much power?
  8. All very well TUG but they can't wait til the window to get the high earners off the books so some will be getting redundo notices very shortly.

I personally feel he is a good manager - how he managed to do the East Fife job whilst working and living in Sneck always baffled me
  10. No. Mark was in the Ross County youth before joining Hearts. Ally Ridgers was at ICT. Dont know if they're related. brothers and... there's another goalkeeping brother, Willie, who was at Nairn, Rothes and now Strathspey Thistle. How many families could boast having 3 goalkeepers in the family?
  11. Lack of quality maybe!
  12. Is the Muirfield deal done then?
  13. Word has it that they want big R on the board and one or two may not be too keen on the idea.
  14. Well, tjhat being the case D we need new people with new money at the top of the tree. And I don't mean £250k! Hope my numbers come up tonight!
  15. Yes, they wanted to win trophies. Aye and they had to wait ten years for the first one. Think your stats are a bit dodgy Alex
  16. At least 4 of these guys ended up at Telford Street!
  17. Believed to be a group of former Inverness Royal Academy pupils (Cade Rats to those of us who attended the old High School) fronted by Richard Smith (their local representative who has been spotted in the Director's Box during the last few games). Hear there are some 'personality clashes' involved so who knows if it will ever happen. If it were old High School boys involved, considering our perceived lack of brains, it would probably been done and dusted by now.
  18. Yeah I'm pretty sure Accies paid about £25,000 (the same as Dundee United) for him. I'm sure Brewster signed him for about double that mind. Like others were saying, if you look at his actual attributes as a footballer, he's got qualities that make him very good - just a shame he doesn't seem to realise that there are other people in the team as well........ Was it not Christie that signed him? Maybe wrong.
  19. Don't see why not as the whole length used to be terracing before our SPL days.
  20. Unless we can get serious cash behind us we will always hover around the bottom.
  21. If we played a slow, deliberate style of football I would see the point but we don't. I feel our strengths are in our passing game with one or two players with real pace who can hurt teams. "Makes it harder to control the ball" must be related to shinty cos any decent player will control a ball no matter how long or short the grass. Whatever was intended it didn't work cos results speak for themselves.
  22. What a joke. The HFA is no more an academy than a fly in the air. The Dingwall facility is used as much by County and ICT for first team winter sessions as it is by Youth. Even at nights in winter, SHFL, Junior and North Caley league teams use the facility regularly. The term "Academy" had to be used to get grant money. When this all started, our current Board weren't proactive or interested enough to be a major player so we were left with the dregs. As it turns out, I don't think we are missing much - facilities don't make SPL players (although it probably helps) - basic infastructure and QUALITY coaching does.
  23. I would tend to agree with that statement, but I fear the mental and physical damage is already done and he is far too far along to get back on the straight and narrow. Even Butcher seems to acknowledge that as he says he considered offering him a role but then rejected it (reluctantly it would seem). Gazza was a great player but like many great players, flawed. In his case, I think he was too easily led astray by strong characters around him (both professionally and personally) throughout his career (and after), and didnt have any self control. In football terms, his appointment in any role, and at pretty much any club, would probably be seen as a joke ! It would become a circus, a distraction as everyone would be waiting for him to **** it up again ! Off the field, I have heard it said many times that he is/was a genuine down to earth guy and one who would not do you wrong if he could do you right. His heart always seemed to be in the right place, even if his over exuberance on occasions led to him getting in trouble (thinking the flute episode and the carding the ref incident) Reading that article, it is obvious that Terry knows him extremely well from Rangers and England, and knows about his good points, but is literally shaking his head at how sad his life has now become. If anyone could be a strong role model for him that he would respect and listen to it might be Terry, if any area of the country might calm him down or allow him to relax it might be the Highlands .... but it would be a hell of a risk and something that might end with more than just Gazza's tears ! Maybe but let's not forget the beating he gave his wife.
  24. Any idea of the score today?
  25. Aye but are they not looking at ?250k. That would only cover a year's losses. Any chance of a change of meds IHE?
