  1. Live debates on the telly in the run-up to the vote would great and I'm sure would attract big viewing audiences. I read that Salmond has said he'd willingly go head-to-head with David Cameron in such a scenario! That, I'd PAY to see! The SNP leader is such a persuasive orator, he would likely impress and get some of the 'undecided's' on board.
  2. I think at the turn of the year it had around 150,000 'signatures' so it will be well in excess of that 170k maybe?
  3. Friday 29th March English League 1 Adam Rooney (Swindon Town 1-1 Oldham Athletic)
  4. He's got a coaching job at Dumbarton and is keen to follow that avenue now. His playing days are maybe behind him now...blighted by injury in his prime.
  5. We couldn't afford his wages. Can't even afford Reguero's it seems!
  6. Hopefully our season will start on 18th July with a European game!!
  7. Kilmarnock boss talking publicly about it now. Aye, he's away for sure... Shiels also confirmed Inverness goalkeeper Antonio Reguero is on his radar and he is optimistic about his chances of recruiting the player for next season. He said: "I spoke to Terry Butcher in January to say that I was interested in the goalkeeper to give us back-up for Cammy Bell and to challenge Cammy for the shirt. "There has been a good response and hopefully that will reach a conclusion very shortly."
  8. Peculiar rant for a first post! Would be able to take it more seriously if you could actually spell the one word pertinent to your thread. IndependEnt, IndependEnce! Don't mean to be picky but it totally detracts from the content of your post, especially as a first poster - it's like you don't know what you're talking about- A troll, no doubt! "You had one job..."!!
  9. Good find, RiG. Looks like he's off indeed! We'll have to find another 'keeper! Our scout/coach, Steve Marsella, was one himself, so he knows what to look for. He found a gem in Reguero! I imagine Scott Mathieson would do a decent job as back up to Esson, but ideally we need another goalie with experience to challenge Ryan for the jersey.
  10. I don't know, but looking at Terry's quote, I reckon they've discussed terms on a new deal but can't financially match what Kilmarnock are offering... From the same article*, I notice Killie have also just signed TWO Nigerian International players! Another club operating outwith their means I wonder?! *http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/top-football-stories/kilmarnock-sign-gabriel-reuben-and-papa-idris-1-2862079
  11. First 'quote' I've heard from the club in relation to this 'rumour', is in todays Scotsman... Inverness goalkeeper Antonio Reguero is in talks with Kilmarnock over a potential summer switch having impressed since joining on a one-year deal from Spanish club Gandia last June. Reguero is thought to have been offered a pre-contract deal as Kilmarnock manager Kenny Shiels braces himself for Cammy Bell’s departure at the end of the season. Inverness manager Terry Butcher said: “It will be disappointing if Antonio does leave. There will be no hard feelings I have always said I will never, ever stop a player leaving us for more money somewhere else. ” So, It's no longer a rumour and I'd hazard a guess that sadly, he won't be here next season. It's always disappointing when we resurrect a player's career, give them a platform - put them in the shop window, then they up-sticks and leave at the earliest opportunity. Happens to us all the time!
  12. Wednesday 27th March Highland League Stuart Soane HAT-TRICK! (Formartine United 9-1 Strathspey Thistle)
  13. Unless we pick up some results in the games remaining we will likely be in Pot 5 for the next draw! Still a pot ahead of San Marino though, so all good!
  14. Thanks Granty24 for your information. Good stuff.
  15. It does get a bit farcical! The SPL 'computer' tries to work it out fairly but often teams end up with 3 home games and 1 away to a team. A major flaw in the 'split' system!
  16. He seems to be flying...with Concord!! Sorry, it had to be done!
  17. I remember Bruce McGraw and Mike Sanderson playing for us in the early days but I'm afraid I don't know who Dean Bowern is!
  18. Not wanting to be picky, but the Faroe Islands 1-0 Austria game was actually played in Sweden! On the topic of the 'minnows' - it appears that Gibraltar have applied for membership of UEFA! San Marino would start as favourites against them!!
  19. Saturday 26th March 1st Division Andy Barrowman TWO goals (Dunfermline Athletic 3-4 Dumbarton) 3rd Division Rory McAllister (Berwick Rangers 0-2 Peterhead) Highland League Zander Sutherland (Brora Rangers 2-1 Inverurie Locos) Dale Gillespie (Brora Rangers 2-1 Inverurie Locos) SENT OFF - Ross Tokely in the above game!
  20. Nicky Clarke? Thought he was a celebrity hairdresser?!? Mind you, we could get him to play up front, alongside Charlie Barbour!!
  21. LOL! The exclamation marks were just to 'flag up' the quote from the Hearts fan. I'm pleased Roberts reacted in that manner. I agree with you lukemackay, Roberts is just a young player and has to put it behind him. Blimey, I would love to have been allowed out to watch SPL standard players in my lunch break when I was at school! Like you, I was at Millburn, but back then the most exciting thing I could do in breaks was to buy a black coffee from the vending machine!
  22. Have no more info on todays game other than the scoreline. Got it from Jambos-kickback forum. The only Inverness player mentioned was Philip Roberts. There were a few comments about him: "Their no 7 Phil Roberts looks tricky. Having a good battle with Hamill" "Ah good ole Phillip Roberts, the man who skyed the penalty in the League Cup Semi" "Hamill did ok after a nervy start. He had some good tussles with Phil Roberts, who it must be said looked very sharp." "It was good to see Roberts respond with a smile when he was reminded of his penalty miss at the LC semi by a crowd of youngsters on their lunch break from Tynie school." !!!!!!!!
  23. I see the date of the referendum has been set for Thursday 18th September 2014.
