  1. Just read this idea which apparently has Gordon Smiths backing, what do ya's think? I reckon it's a great idea which would maintain intrest in many more league games and improve crowds 12 team SPL..play each other twice.then top 8 play each other twice again to decide Euro places and Champions...bottom four join up with top four of the 1st ..play each other twice...top four of that mini league are in the SPL the next season.. total 36 games a year...
  2. Anouncement at 1630....... Gretna,what next?
  3. Not wrong Alex,I'd love to see Saintees make the final (would mebbes even go along and support them despite their "hate" for us) but just dont see it.
  4. Having seen QOS first hand this season :009: i genuinely wouldn't be surprised (wouldn't even consider it a shock) if they turn over Aberdeen, given that the Dons only up their game against "bigger" teams.Unfortunately,i think Rangers will be too strong for those left in and will do a clean sweep domestically.
  5. He's responded to you Rig! Owen Scores.
  6. Even i have sympathy for the Arabs, however, i dont think it was particularly down to poor refereeing, they were far the better team for the main part and should have had it stitched up but for that astonishing pass back from Mark Kerr.Fair play to them for coming back in extra time but when it came down to penalties i felt there was only gonna be one winner.
  7. "Would relegation be such a bad thing??" YES,absoloutley, take it from me,relegation is a BAD thing, speshly from the SPL,which undoubtedly is a joke, but a joke i'd rather be sharing in as the financial implications when you dont get the joke are crippleing. Dundee continue to stumble on due in the main to being reletively well supported, but i fear for the implications the longer we continue to operate outside the top flight. If ICT went down, I,m not convinced they would have the hard core support to maintain the operating costs and would enter a downward spiral which is very hard to stop. Sadly, survival is all it's about these days :007:
  8. That won't even be an issue! :004:
  9. Playing devils advocate for a minute and i don't believe (or hope) for a split second it will happen, however,if Gretna fold, apparently all results are void and the league adjusted accordingly, therefore surely Gretna have not exsisted in this years league and therefore cannot be the relegated club. :024: just a thought like.
  10. Hard to bear Dmacca, that 3rd goal of theirs was the turning point big time, intersting last 4 though, Portsmouth,Cardiff,Barnsley and WBA,wonder whit oddds for those 4 in the semi's

  13. Wasnae at the gemme Sainty ,but having seen a fair bit of the game highlights on DFC telly, as you rightly say, we should have been out of site by half time, yer second goal was a yard off side and i'd say Scott Robertson going off injured had a lot to do with you coming back into the game second half. You gotta agree the winner was some feckin goal and is it no mandatory that we get a last minute winner against St johnstone? (wha broke the dressing room windae in a fit of pique BTW?) Anyway, best of luck on Saturday against the other Saints and wi a bit of luck, mebbes get ya in the Semi at Hampden :001:
  14. Good lad Barry, pulled his shot wide to win it for Saints 3 mins from time, leaving the stage for Macmenimin to nick it (deservedly so) Good on ya Bazza yer old man would have been proud of ya! :021:

  21. Talk of banning for life is nonsense, badly timed, rash and painful nae doubt, but intentional wi 3 minutes on the clock? cannae see it, Even Vinny would have waited 10.
  22. Not as long as meh erse points downwards :moon2:
  23. Think you misinterpreted my post 4th stand,I dont wish for Gretna to go down the pan, however, if it occurs I'd be interested to see how the decision making process was effected if the title or OF were affected to any degree.
  24. Would love to see the scenario IF,(big if eh know) Gretna manage to get a draw on Saturday at Ibrox,Celtic catch up and go one point ahead then Gretna's demise comes about and Rangers win the league on the strength of that.........
