  1. He feared going stale at ICT. He won't have to worry about that at Hibs, he will be run ragged due to their ineffective defence collapsing after 10 minutes into each match. It will certainly be "challenging"!
  2. You're joking? Beaten by a bunch of comedians??
  3. End of Dingwall? Dingwall's end? And on a related note, hey Dougal, just for you mucker - the I-wish-I-was-in-Dingwall End. Oh, you already are . . .
  4. Sounds familiar . . . . :-(
  5. Remember bdu98196, this is Dougal we are talking about. He doesn't live in the here-and-now, only in the past. And on the subject of GMS, he obviously thinks we only trial one player a decade and flipped the coin wrong when it came to the "yes/no" choice. What a dingbat. But all the more humorous for it.
  6. I smell something else and it ain't no poll! :-)
  7. For anyone that is interested, they can test their knowledge of the Laws of the Game here: http://areferee.com/soccer.php And can see the current laws on the FIFA website here: http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/affederation/generic/81/42/36/lawsofthegame_2011_12_en.pdf I did both the 10 question and 20 question tests (several times) and I cannot believe how rusty I am! If I were to consider taking up refereeing again, in any capacity, I would need to pay attention in class. :-)
  8. The only defence would be that Raven clipped the player without intent, by the player running across him and catching his leg in normal stride. Having looked at the highlights, that is debateable and I feel that an appeal would not be upheld.
  9. It is interesting that the lead in for this on the radio news was the fact that for oh-so-many-years there are no OF players in the senior nominations. No doubt this will be used by their slavering supporters as yet more evidence of how the relegation of "We Are the Peepul" has damaged Scottish football, when in fact it just illustrates the opposite!
  10. Interesting - well, almost . . . Once they get to the upper section of First Division I might take an interest in them. Until then I will turn attention back to Partick Thistle and the very real challenge they will be putting into our Division next season.
  11. McGregor has now revealed why he voted against - apparently the gudgies are too stupid to understand the proposed league set-up and by extension, so was everyone else!
  12. Frayed knot mucker - refuse to have Sky, too busy to waste money on TV I won't watch.
  13. You are basing this on the premise that the whole point is to win prize money, and that is all the teams are playing for. Perhaps the idea was to stimulate the game through better competition and hence bring in more crowds, thereby encouraging the clubs by increased revenue and helping to attract individual sponsorship. Or maybe we are resigned to the fact that it is easier to watch it on ESPN or Sky Sports than to actually go safe in the knowledge that the club can get a cut of my £42.50 per month?
  14. And consistent with others in the past.
  15. Where has this information come from? Nothing on BBC or official SPL site.
  16. Really? I don't see it as being that different from Pittodrie and it is excellently placed for me coming in on the A96.
  17. Jeez. you dream about footballers? But not in the way you may at first think . . . ;-)
  18. Really? While I agree partly with what you say, the fact that there are twice as many clean sheets would suggest that there was a significant contribution by Reguero, and we have all seen his shot-stopping ability being tested many times in this season. The team-mates before him have been very similar to Ryan's, and especially the defence which has been very stable as compared to last season. Ryan has certainly served the club well and in my eyes he has been one of our heroes over the last few years, but Tony is as good a keeper at this time if not slightly holding the edge. I thought it was a shame that he was dropped so quickly for Ryan to return and it looks as if that decision may have been a little hasty considering what happened at the derby match. Tony for me, until the end of the season.
  19. I don't know if you are supporting the point on falling attendences or are extracting the urine RiG. Population of Milan: 1.35m (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milan) Population of Inverness: 72k (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inverness) Average attendances from last season comparison to now - Milan: -20% (no idea if the figures you quote are accurate) Average attendances from last season comparison to now - ICT: -4% (4181 2011-12, 4,017 2012-13 to date) () A drop in income by one fifth would indeed be something to be concerned about!
  20. No, we haven't!! He's scored in 5 matches and we WON in 4 of those. The game we didn't win was the 4-4 draw at Dundee United. Which was stolen from us by a dodgy last minute penalty
  21. I've got some chips if you want to widdle on them? You seem to be ignoring the fact that when they are under contract, if they are going to go then the contract holders have the right of getting some money for relinquishing it early. We are not so daft that we think they are bound inexorably into the club until the end of the contract period, but we are more relieved that they have stated a commitment towards ICT for now and that they are not just going to up and disappear immediately should an offer be touted or be actively looking for a new club to ply their trade.
  22. Listening to the game on Radio Nan Gael, it would appear that the sandy bit only affects a small area of the pitch which is easily handled by the players, and County had sold out while we had failed to make our full allocation! Does Uncle Roy have plants in there or something?? Or maybe he has the pictures in a safe somewhere . . .
  23. Actually, I am secretly pleased with the result last night, for a couple of reasons. One - when we beat them twice between now and the split, we will have re-established a minimum of 6 points between ourselves. Two - the look on Kenny Shields face just now must be a picture, with two Highland teams taking the 2nd and 3rd place spots at the erse end of the league and not just the opening 2 games! But I agree that it would take a bit of the shine off our season if we ended up in our best ever league position only to find the gypos are above us in their very first foray into the top division. Won't happen though, so not to worry. Cue a re-post of the Downfall video . . .
  24. And all that will come to a juddering halt in a weeks time! To be confirmed on the 16th, once they have taken a breath and stopped crying. :-)
