  1. Most websites seem to have him down as a winger these days (which would explain the low goals per game ratio in recent seasons), but he obviously has experience playing upfront too. Sounds like a potential replacement for Marley rather than for Billy?
  2. It's rather strange that of our last 9 matches, we won the 7 trickiest but could only draw the 2 home games against bottom 6 teams!
  3. Slight misunderstanding by the tattoist, but I think I can get away with it.
  4. Oooh, ahhh, Rajcomar Ooh ah Rajcomar! I love this guy already. Got "Rajcomar" put on the back of my ICT shirt this morning, and I'm heading off shortly to get it tattooed as well.
  5. I've no idea if this guy is any good or not, but we should sign him just cos he's got a cool name.
  6. Inverness Caley Thistle have taken striker Prince Rajcomar on trial as they search for a replacement for Billy McKay. (Daily Express)
  7. The trouble with getting short notice for those early rounds is that there sometimes isn't enough time for fans to get visas for ties in certain places, unless they travel in person to an embassy in London and pay a fortune for an emergency visa, as St Johnstone fans found in one of their recent forays (Minsk?). I think even the club had to arrange player visas for 2 different countries at great expense while waiting the outcome of a preliminary round tie to see which of 2 teams they were going to face.
  8. Owen Coyle?
  9. From BBC Gossip: Former Dundee United and Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager Craig Brewster, who is Brighton Under-17 coach, is in the running, along with Manchester United academy chief Brian McClair, to be Scottish FA performance director. (The Sun) It would be astonishing if Brewster got that job, and the phrase "in the running" could simply mean he has applied for the position. But good luck to him!
  10. A quick trawl through Soccerbase reveals, if I've addded up correctly, that Wyness got 9 v County, Stewart got 6. I also counted that Wyness got 5 hattricks overall for us, which I can't imagine anyone could have beaten.
  11. Wyness, surely.
  12. Steady on, let's not make this more complicated for them than it already is!
  13. Agreed. By the way, one of the gripes I have with the English language is that "resign" and "re-sign" are so similar, and yet so different!
  14. Most league wins we've ever achieved in a top flight season is 16, set last season. On Saturday we equalled that!
  15. PS I hope they stay up.
  16. Just realised that we've won all 3 of our league games v St Mirren this season, AND knocked them out of the cup. They must hate playing us! They are also the team that ICT has racked up the most wins against in our history. How things have changed since St Mirrren were the glamour opposition who were the new club's first opponents in 1994.
  17. The player stats on this site don't go into "minute" detail but the appearance data gives a good indication that you're barking up the right tree. Rory McAllister - 15 starts + 47 sub (so 76% of appearances were off the bench) Shane Sutherland - 27 starts + 63 sub appearances (70%) Tony Low has a more extreme ratio ratio, with 2 starts and 17 off the bench (89%) But then there are other players who never ever started, but made quite a few appearances - Agdestein (16) , McMillan (11), Fetai (10), Wee Deano (7), Ibra (4). Sadly none of the players mentioned ever did anything to earn the title "supersub". With 63, Shane actually has more sub appearances than any other ICT player, although Nick Ross is catching up with 60 (but has 104 starts).
  18. Yep, based on Alba we looked great all over the pitch (at least until they scored). The midfield really made us tick and it looked like Tansey had a great game.
  19. What a phenomenal run of results we are on. Whilst we haven't been keeping a huge number of clean sheets recently (after 5 in a row at the start of the season) it's worth noting that in our last 20 matches, only twice have we conceded more than one goal in a game. And one one of those occasions we still managed to win (4-2 v Hamilton).
  20. Good day for us!
  21. I'm sure it was said at the time that when County joined the SPL, we suffered a drop in season tickets, hospitality sales and sponsorship. If that's the case I'm happy to let them commence the slide back to their natural place. On the other hand, given that we won't be playing County again this season, it won't do us any harm if they go on a good run and take points off the other top 6 sides.
  22. The only surprise is that it's taken 12 days for them to reach this decision!
  23. Apparently Meeking has signed a 2 year deal. (Everyone else is saying it so I just thought I'd join in.)
  24. Steady on old chap! It's a shame there aren't any Scottish managers there just now but it's a bit early to be reaching those kind of conclusions about a long term demise when it is only 3 seasons since arguably the best league in the world was dominated by Scots managers, far more than it ever had been, and outnumbering any other nationality. There were 7 Scottish managers at one point (all Glaswegians, in fact), a quite remarkable state of affairs, but one which was always going to be unsustainable given the high rate of managerial turnover.
  25. Thomas Piermayr is on trial at St Mirren! (Daily Express)
