Dam17, having started the thread, what is your view? And is the pretty overwhelming respect for Roy the response you expected or hoped for?

If you are right about that, then both of our goals that day were something of a rarity!

Great to have Foran back.

Royal Antwerp Matchday thread
That's good to hear about Nick Ross a few posts ago. In the (very few) games I saw of him last year, he never got close to making a tackle and I feared he wasn't physical enough to make the grade.

Royal Antwerp Matchday thread
Good to hear Foran is on the bench, although the preview on the official site says "Irish duo Richie Foran and Johnny Hayes will again sit it out, though their prospects are good of facing Celtic on August 14."

Season Ticket
[Geek alert] The definition of APR is more complicated than your calculation, taking into account the reducing debt balance over the course of the contract and then annualising the interest charge. [Geek alert ends]

Dublin Tourney
The fact that all the games were very close, and we got an even mix of wins and defeats is proof that we were up against an entirely suitable level of opposition. And anyway, when you are talking about 13 years olds it doesn't really matter what size of club they are affiliated to, they are schoolkids for whom football is a hobby not a profession.

Celtic - out of Europe
Celtic have now been awarded the opprtunity to lose to Utrecht. Motherwell v Odense Dundee Utd v AEK Athens (cue Craig Brewster getting a lot of mentions in the media) In the Champs League draw Spurs will surely roger Young Boys, but I'm disappointed to see that the scope for puerile jokes has been reduced since the Wankdorf was pulled down.

Will this be Peterhead's first visit to TCS?

That'll do. Bit of an old boys reunion too.

Hibs getting rogered
Hibs lsing at home now, 0-4 on agg. For readers of a certain generation, can I suggest the headline "Maribor Stork Nightmares" might be appropriate.

All Time ICT XI
Definitely one of the classiest players we have ever had. I suspect the fact that he only had 1 season with us is largely why he is often overlooked in these debates.
-
If you could ressurect ANy ex ICT player
Agreed but the same could be said for all our opponents too.

If you could ressurect ANy ex ICT player
I remember him coming on as a sub at Arbroath and being sent off a few minutes later. He certainly got stuck in. Smee has asked a good question, and I'm torn between: Mann - for leadership, passing, reading of the game. Dods - for winning every ball that came near him. Machine! We've never truly replaced him. Robson - for set pieces, crosses and attacking flair I love Bobby (and I told him that whilst hugging him on the pitch in May 2004)but Dods is probably the player we have missed the most.

Injuries....
I'm recalling the debates we had here when we played the first few weeks (if not months) of 07/08 with our star player not being properly match fit.

2nd round? ICT-Peterhead
I wouldn't mind a trip to Forfar because I haven't seen us there since the 90's, or Brechin because I like the hedge.

Injuries....
totally agree, we're going to need them back to full fitness for the celtic game so the sooner they're back in action the better Is it not the case that the scans have only given them the all clear to start full training? Given that they've missed pre-season training, they are surely some way from match fitness and I'd be surprised (but delighted) if they were able to play in the remaining friendlies.
