  1. Instead of? I don't see the need for any of them to start, or even come on as a sub.

Fraser's recent performances have been poor, he deserved to be dropped and the new guy given a chance. That's what competition for places is all about.
  3. One word : Dods.
  4. Spot on with that summary CMiB. Plus point from today : Wyness was superb, really showed his class I thought.
  5. Was talking to Campbell, and it's no surprise that there were difficulties with a key working relationship that made his position untenable and his departure inevitable. Those are my words - his were slightly less diplomatic and included the term "f*cking pr1ck" :015:
  6. "Claret", we are told.
  7. :017:
  8. Yes. This is the first time Scotland have lost to a team 90 (yes, 90) places below us in the FIFA rankings. And yet it doesn't remotely feel like the worst or most embarrassing result in our history. Another thing that doesn't quite make sense is that despite the awfulness of the Berti Vogts reign we still got to within 90 minutes of qualifying, and only needed a draw in that crunch game (v Holland) as opposed to the victory we now need against Italy. As Wanderer was saying, :029:
  9. Let's hope we never see this kit again.
  10. That performance was a Berti special. :007:
  11. And how many points would we be deducted for fielding someone not eligible to play for Scotland?!
  12. He's a great player and a Scotland star of the future, no doubt. At the moment though, who would you drop to make space? Boyd, Miller, O'Connor and of course Sir James have all been playing well and scoring at a very healthy rate over the last couple of years.
  13. I would have to say Cowie based on his performances so far and the fact that he is still fairly young, followed by Blackie. But they would have to earn moves to higher profile clubs first.
  14. I've been looking at some possible scenarios. 1) I was trying to work out if there's a scenario where Scotland and Italy go into the big game on November 17th knowing that a draw puts both sides through. The nearest I could get though is if France and Scotland both get draws on Wednesday : a Scotland - Italy draw would then put Scotland straight through and Italy just needing a home win v the Faroes, which amounts to the same thing. How would the teams approach a game like that? I'm not suggesting that the teams would fix the result, but what sort of game would it become when it's 0-0 after 75 minutes and both sides are more than happy for it to stay that way? Older readers will remember the Germany - Austria farce in 1982. 2) The other scenario that crossed my mind is a more likely one. France go to Ukraine in the final match, needing a win to go through. A win would be worth many millions of euros to the FFF, as well as French national pride. The result means nothing to the Ukraine. I'd like to think that they still give 100%.
  15. Oh dear. The design is harmless but the colour is horrible. Why on earth chose a colour that appears pretty close to the one that is so synonymous with Hearts?
  16. As far as I am concerned a thread suggesting Mexican waves at TCS should be instantly deleted and a ban given to the poster in question! But I'll restrain myself and simply say I am not in favour of the idea. :003:
  17. The bookies have Italy and France as hot favourites to qualify.

At the time of writing, this story has made it into the BBC website's Top 5 most read stories. Another first for ICT. :clapping03:

Whether it be by a tough stance from the club, or the player's wish to move on and make a fresh start, I wouldn't be at all surprised if we have seen the last of him. The fact that he is very much a fringe player these days could make it an easy decision for either party.

The club statement seems to suggest that Hart had assured them he was innocent.

I would hope and expect that he gets some kind of punishment from the club, but I would also hope and expect that to remain private, and that he also gets support.
  22. Some people might prefer a MacDonalds.
  23. It's pretty scarce, but I know that someone had a kilt made out of it earlier this year.

You're on the wrong website for that kind of thing, this is the ICT forum on an ICT website. Anyway, we didn't make 9th so I'm closing this thread, but we can hopefully get back to discussing our progress up the table as the next league match approaches.
