Time for Action (Merged)
January 18th 2006 - Representatives of the trust board have now had profitable meetings with ICT?s Chairman, Chief Executive and Director of Football. One thing which has come from these meetings is a request from the club that the Trust act as a channel to bring grievances being voiced by fans about the club to their attention. Please email us about any matter you feel we should be pursuing. We have already taken the opportunity to express our concern about the price of children?s tickets which we feel is too high and know that a lot of fans feel likewise. Thus far we have had no reply but will be chasing it up. _________ Would be nice if somebody formthe trust gave a crap what the fans of the club think. ISnt Sutherland the trust chairman?

Time for Action (Merged)
Yes. Some good posts on here so far this week regarding fan unrest. I personally wouldnt get involved with any protests outside the stadium on a matchday but I'd be all for the supporters trust taking some initiative in asking for change (At all levels). I think they are scared to ask awkward questions or raise virtually any big issue that supporers of the club have, as they will likely be put firmly into their place by the chairman of the club and others, confirming their toothless reputation. Disaster for ego maniacs

If brewster left (if only)
Some of these suggestions are ridiculous, we cant just carry on recycling old managers and players forever!

IF ICT folded........
I'm not sure what the point of this topic is to be honest but I'd say I'd support Real MAdrid if we ever fold.

Silly question?
In the past you could buy a ticket from behind the main stand there, there was a window with AWAY TICKETS above it somewhere, memory a bit hazy as always wit these things.

Liam Keogh
Guess we all know who we're drawing in round 4 of the Scottish Cup then.

Where the MODS when we need them
The MODS cant be around to read every single post every single minute of the day, if theres something needing reported then click then the options there and 9 out of 10 times one will come running in to have a look. That said I can see a few posters that need to be reminded about what they can and cant post on here, although people getting involved in volatile subjects like sectarian abuse should expect emotions to run high when being responded too. The actual deletion of posts is a bit pointless in the long run once everybodies read them, letting folk know that they cant use the site to threaten each other is a bit more serious and really if somebodies been threatened on the boards or via PM then they should report it to the MODS, action will virtually always be taken against whoevers being abusive.

Cellic Smileymometer
I think my views on Cowie today wouldve been different had I not read some of his ridiculous quotes regarding his future, ability and "achievements". He did try today but he wasnt good enough and unlike Black or Immrie he didnt look like hwas ever going to be good enough, he far from put himself in the shop window. If youre reading this Don, thats the truth, youve found your level, you need to start ignoring whoever it is thats telling you youre a superstar and concentrate on securing your place/reputation at the only SPL club to ever show interest in you..!

Cellic Smileymometer
Only caught the game on TV but thought Don Cowie looked poor, wasteful with the ball at his feet and always looking the wrong way. Maybe he came across differently in person but for me he was the biggest let down of the day.

Ian Black
Maybe we should make Ian Black Director of Football while we're banding about new contracts. Kill two birds with one stone.

Hearts Tickets
Any idea if I can go down to Tynecastle during the week to pick up tickets? Think thats more of a Pie and Bovril question.

Transfers at close of window
Good signing for the Dons. Agree with SMEE. Looking forward to the 1st of Feb for the next thrilling installment.

Talk of new stadium
I think having a ground at the Bucht would add an extra 1,000 to our weekly home gate, no question at all.

Where Have AllThe Fans Gone ?
Wanderer, you were the one who brought up the points differences as a sign that alls well, theres been a negative swing in the points difference between ourselves and St Mirren and a huge one between ourselves and Falkirk. So perhaps the slippery slide plenty have warned of is well under way? I think you have to be on the wind up now, so I'll leave it at that!

Where Have AllThe Fans Gone ?
Seem to remember we finished above Falkirk Falkirk 38 49 -4 Hearts 38 48 -8 Inverness CT 38 43 -11 St Mirren 38 41 -28 Kilmarnock 38 40 -13 :thumb04: Of course those promoted clubs havent gained on us whatsoever Wanderer have they? Or we could just use a side thats now extinct as the yardstick on how far we've come on all aspects of running a club, that way we'd look like Real Madrid and nobody could criticise a thing.

Where Have AllThe Fans Gone ?
Falkirk are building a third permanent stand to bring their stadium capacity well above ours, which will return more money long term, the ground also looks 100 times better than ours and doesnt look as if its being built on the cheap. St Mirrens new stadium will open this year and offer them far greater opportunities to make money form the ground all year round and more on match days. Hamilton are the third team to come up that will invest in their infrastructure, plans have already been submitted for a new stand with increased corporate capacity and of course their club shop now has a permanent home, so the fans dont feel like pikeys when asking to try on a shirt before buying it. None of that has an effect on the first team, perhaps in the future when 3 or 4% is being added to the clubs annual turnover but not initially, which really isnt the point at all. The stadium should be there to service the fans at all stages on a match day, even something simple like not asking fans to cue in the pissing rain on their way to spend more money would improve the Tullochs (nevermind having to sit in the open end of the main stand to watch a game like Monday nights!). If you want to ignore everybody on here who isnt totally satisfied with the way things are run at the club, or the apparent lack of motivation to push us forward in any way, then youll be counting about half the members of this site out right away. Though youd be free to post up as many irrelevant stats from 2005 as you wanted without people laughing at you.

How many points did we finish above Falkirk and St Mirren last year Wanderer? Have we made progress from +25 and +10 points?

Where Have AllThe Fans Gone ?
Good posts and a good question. I've said it all before but I'm sick of the way things are done at the club, when I last lived in Inverness I made the decision not to goto dozens of games, preferring to just meet folk in the Inness pre-match then head off to a pub in town to see the scores come in, a wise move on many afternoons. If I felt like we were going in the right direction I'd probably make more of an effort to get to maybe one game a month (live in Edinburgh) but as things stand theres not a hope in hell. Incidentally, as a side to us doing nothing to improve the infrastructure of the club since promotion, one of the very first things Hamilton did this summer when being promoted was build a permanent club shop, as 'thats what the fans of an SPL club deserve'. I warned off it loads of times but every teams thats come up behind us has progressed or is progressing beyond where we currently are, we still have plastic stands and a portacabin to call home into our fifth year of top flight football
-
WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
David Bingham emailed me when he got back from his summer holidays He's a youth coach with Dunfirmline at the moment, he applied for the Berwick and Forfar mangers jobs over the summer but didnt get them, would expect him to forge a career as a coach somewhere in Scotland over the next few years. No idea about any other ex players.

Barry Wilson V Liverpool XI
So how much did everybody earn when they were 15? Who here is the BIGGEST ICT fan? Or should we keep this on the topic of Barry Wilsona testimonial v Liverpool?

merged: Adam Rooney
Agree IHE, those were my words exactly today in work when comparing him to the strikers other teams around us have brought in (Lovell, Russel, Wyness, Peneruu or whoever Hibs brought in) This could be a real proper bargain, wouldve loved to have seen him in on loan for half a season, this THREE YEAR deal is brilliant, cant wait to get him gelled in.

Hamilton Tactics
That was almost a good result for us last night, let them think alot of themselves I say, United were toothless in midfield and hopeless going forward, we'll be packed in there and they wont get anywhere close to the amount of room they did. I'm confident about the game, had Hamilton still felt like they had something to prove I'd be more apprehensive, we should be too good for them at the weekend, better than them in the middle of the park where it counts. On that evidence alot better than United too. On a side note it was a bit disappointing to see so many empty seats in the home end, I wouldve hoped the locals wouldve turned out in force for it, remember our first game in Inverness was packed, mustve been about 5,000 home fans in attendance. It'll be interesting to see what kind of turnout they get once the season starts to slow down to a dull 'oh god theres another game on today' pace.

ThANkyou COUNTY
Over the years we've used dozens more of our own youth players than County, we had 5 on at one stage v Aberdeen at the weekend (6 if you include Ian Black, which you probably shouldnt as he has always been involved with the first team) in Hastings, Roscoe, Fraser, Munro and Macallister. I think the only out and out County youth player we've ever bought was Don Cowie, the rest of the signings developed elsewhere.
