  1. Common sense would surely dictate that the holiday was delayed until the football management team was firmly in place. In my opinion this shows once again a total disregard, and indeed lack of savvy, about football and how the off season works. No surprise though as this guy has been part of the establishment for some time now.
  2. I too am horrified at the lack of consideration by the Board in setting these prices. What a cheek they have asking for Premier League season ticket prices to watch a lower league product. This is nothing to do with fans loyalty and lots to do with the Board's total disregard for the paying public. They fail completely to understand that fans do not have a endless supply of funds to allocate to their Saturday fix. I have now decided to give up one of my two tickets which I have held since the stadium opened, and was effectively a donation. No manager, no team, no football presence on the Board and a crass statement accompanying the price sheet does not equate to a rush to buy tickets.
  3. As Mantis suggest the shares thing has been done before. I know quite a few people who purchased £1000 worth of shares, as I did, in fact I bought the same for my wife and kids. That was in the early days when we were full of pride in our new club and got carried along on a wave of optimism. Move forward 20+ years and we have achieved more than I could ever have imagined but now is not the right time to ask fans to donate large sums. Season tickets, that's the way forward at the moment in my opinion. Get out early and buy a couple of tickets and take a friend along each week. In that way you contribute much needed early season cash and perhaps encourage others to follow the club in years to come.
  4. There isn't any money forthcoming that we know of for certain. What is certain is that the Board have failed. We need some people on the Board who have a football pedigree. The only one I know of who had any knowledge of football, however small that be, was Richard Smith, and he quit, presumably before his reputation was tarnished. Maybe someone out there can tell us if any other Board members have a football background?
  5. For the life of me I cannot understand how the Board have got off with their silence this season. I am not aware of Company Law but would imagine that they must now make a statement to the shareholders as to what the hell went wrong over the past few months and what they have been doing to mitigate the disaster that has now visited us, This is a Board who have, in my opinion, a duty to the shareholders and season ticket holders to provide a full time lined explanation of the past year. This is a Board who have shown a complete lack of respect for the people (fans and sponsors and staff) by their secrecy. Was it not only at the start of last season that Cameron and Foran held a Q & A session about what the future held. Since then nothing but rubbish fed to the fans each week by the manager, for example about how we were to end in the Top 6, we have been conned big time. This club has been in existence for over 20 years and we have had an incredible journey but the infrastructure appears to be non existent. For example where are the young players coming through, I cannot name one single prospect that we are nurturing. Where are the basics like a proper training ground? Surely after all these years we could have identified a bit of ground to convert into a training facility. How on earth will we attract decent players with the facilities we have? Our stadium is horrible, a three sided area with a horrendous main stand. I look forward to the statement that must be forthcoming tomorrow or the next day from the Board. We are at an incredibly important cross roads for our club, get this wrong and we face decades in lower league football. The potential is there for Inverness, just witness yesterdays crowd.
  6. Hartley refused to live in Inverness when last interviewed or he would have been our manager. Not likely to relocate and anyone who would not live up here should not be offered what would in effect be a part time position.
  7. So CC spoke the truth! What exactly is his role within the club apart from the successful lottery thing. If his role is youth development then he too is sleep walking.
  8. Got out of my sick bed as I had a sense of loyalty which none of our players have. Disgraceful performance. Vigurs as captain a joke and Draper on the bench shows what a backside Foran has made of this. Where on earth are our young stars of the future? What do Messrs Christie and Shearer do all day. I could not name one up and coming Ross, Christie or Polworth? Why are we almost bottom of the Development League? When you look at the likes of that mob over the bridge, Hamilton, Kilmarnock we are light years behind. Apparently Kilmarnock ended the game up here just a few weeks ago with 8 teenagers on the park. Foran has been a disaster but the youth coaches and talent spotters who used to bring the likes of the Shinnies to the club are posted missing, sack them too and start again.
  9. Doesn't that just say it all, poorly placed in both leagues in which we compete, or rather don't compete. Suggests the club is being poorly managed throughout.
  10. Well I think Sutherland still has a huge influence in the board. The Chairman is a Sutherland pick as are one or two of the other members. Whether that is stifling the club or not we will never know apart from the rumours that one other wealthy football keen Inverness businessman will have nothing to do with ICT whilst Sutherland's influence remains. Time for change, regardless.
  11. I couldn't care less who plays as long as we win. I sincerely hope that the whole squad were at work today having a drains up and focusing on one of the biggest games ever for ICT next weekend. The players cannot be absolved from blame and need to take some responsibility. The problem is that a good number of them are for the off in 6 weeks time and probably couldn't give a damn. Days off will hopefully be cancelled from now until the end of the season, the players owe it to the poor staff at the Club who could also be out of a job in a few weeks. We need leaders on the field as well as off. Warren is a complete disgrace if he has been sent off as is Cole. How Kenny Cameron didn't think about getting someone in to give Ritchie a hand after it was apparent at Christmas that we were in trouble is beyond me. He too is massively culpable. Anyway come 3pm next Saturday i will be as positive and hopeful as ever. We have won all 5 after split games before and we can do it again.
  12. Good luck to Tansey. For Foran to say that he isn't going for the money is the biggest **** take ever. Get real Ritchie.
  13. Voted then nothing, nite nite
  14. Last chance coming up on Saturday, after that we must be heading for playing the 'big guns' and potentially no points.
  15. Me too! Buzzing again after the low of Saturday's game. However ask me again at 9.30pm tonight and you may get a different answer.
  16. It's time we scrapped this priority nonsense and just sell tickets to everyone who wants them. We are seldom likely to be in a position where we sell our allocations and have people left disappointed.
  17. Got my tickets this morning and the girl in the portacabin said the sales are very slow! Come on folks let's get behind the team.
  18. Would need to be sure we will get a ticket first. When are they on sale?
  19. A shocker. Motherwell are the poorest team I have seen this season and we bottled it. We look so nervous. Can't agree with the crowd booing Vigurs, he wasn't MOM but he wasn't that bad. Tansey needs some passing practice badly, his wayward passing nearly cost us dear on a few occasions. OFW looks really dodgy, is he still carrying an injury? Loved the banner which was on display at kick off, well done to whoever made it up. Last chance saloon on Saturday.
  20. Granville and William Bell, now they were characters. I doubt many of the North Stand inhabitants would recognise those names.
  21. Are Willie Grant and Gerry Graham still playing for them?
  22. We were second best all day today. Aberdeen are the most street wise team I have seen as they constantly con the match officials. They dived, grabbed, elbowed and generally moaned and cheated throughout. That said we didn't deserve to win. King, Cole and Vigurs were second best whilst Doran was by and large annonymous. We badly missed the calmness of Tansey and Polworth.
  23. I got more enjoyment and entertainment in 90 minutes today than all of last season. Excellent performance, and boy could you see how much it meant to the manager and the players at the end. Great all round performance.
  24. All this talk of budgets is a smokescreen. The simple fact is that we, once again, are left scrapping about at the end of August looking for players. If I remember last season we were in the same position only able to field 4 or 5 subs in each of the first half dozen games. That is we have no option but to play the same players most weeks, whether they perform or not. Contrast that with the likes of Dundee who get their business done in May/June and have the summer to relax and prepare for the new season. If we can afford to bring in 4 players THIS WEEK then why didn't we do this earlier? I will be really interested to see the gang of 4 who we are going to sign before the St J. game.
