  1. A good performance just needed a wee break early in the game. Would like to see Hughes change things earlier in games like this instead of having endless tactical discussions with Latapy. Liked the 'get your cup final scarves' stand outside the ground before kick off.
  2. I too was one of the Caley fans who did not get into the St. Johnstone game. I had written the chairman, geoff brown, i think to ask if the game was all ticket as i had work commitments and knew i would get there just on kick off time. He actually wrote back saying that they anticipated no crowd issues. Following game i wrote him again to complain. He refunded my car park fee and explained that the only club who had EVER sold out their ground were Glagow Rangers. He was most apologetic and pretty awe struck by the Inverness attendance that night. How i managed to get into the car park and not the ground remains a mystery. On the subject of home attendances. I challenged Charlie Bannerman on this very subject a few weeks ago. Like CC he had the cheek to suggest that we have small crowds. As a percentage of our City population we probably have a larger support than Aberdeen. If you factor in that there is another Premiership club only 12 miles away from us then we are doing just fine. Incidentally St. Johnstone took 7% of their population to the semi as opposed to only 5% of Aberdeen's population. Fully agree that we will never have a better marketing opportunity than 16th March.
  3. Absolute rubbish. No leadership on the park, and there looked to be no leadership off the park either. I doubt Shinnie's ability as a leader. JH and DS were in a constant close head to head cuddle but managed to produce no meaningful changes. The only good thing to come out of yesterday was the performance of Polwarth who had an excellent spell on the park. His passing and vision far surpassed everyone of the big time charlies we had on the park. Gutted.
  4. A mad 30 minutes cost us the game. We were much the better team for 60 of the 90 minutes. Warren got roasted by Vernon, first time I've seen him so outplayed. Williams just didn't feature and Doran is very disappointing. Agree with all the positive comments about Raven, great game. I reckon we should do what Dundee United have with their stars and offer Mckay an extension to his contract now. If he stays we win. if he goes we get a bigger fee. Gutted we couldn't salvage a point but can't wait for our next 2 home games.
  5. First half poor but what can you expect against a team who had everyone behind the ball. I thought we performed very well without actually going into second gear. No wonder Morton are bottom of the Championship. Ross correctly awarded MOM. Watkins a close runner up. Hibs at home in next round please?
  6. Something else to ponder, perhaps it has already been mentioned, is that our club has additional hotel expenses for the team. Whilst Hearts players have a cozy night in their own beds and wake up fresh, ICT will try to sleep in some strange bed at a huge additional cost to the club. Is that fair? There is no way that ICT could travel down to Auld Reekie on the Sunday morning.
  7. Who will select the new management team. Will our Director of Football take up the reigns again following Butcher's reign?
  8. Dear Terry, 'the grass has always been greener', just ask Messrs Paterson, Robertson and Brewster all pottering around on the fringes of the game.
  9. Average display cost us the game. I thought Raven wasn't his usual maurading self today, perhaps still feeling the injury? Saw nothing at all from Greenhaugh, can't tackle or chase back effectively. He did manage 3 decent crosses. Watkins looked good. Doran poor again. Our midfield was run over time and time again. Butcher has made an error in not leaving Ross out wide and making just one replacement for Vincent . Should just be a straight swop Polworth for Vincent. Still second, mustn't get beat on Friday or next Tuesday. Believe.
  10. Decent start for City tonight, beat Nairn St Ninians 3 - 2
  11. Brother in Law who lives in Essex just found out that ICT playing v Charlton soon. He rang Tulloch Stadium as he is going with a load of his Engerland work mates to the game for a day out to support ICT. The response he got from the person who answered the phone at the stadium was 'I don't know anything about a game in London against Charlton'. He was simply going to ask prices and if tickets needed etc. Surely all the staff who answer the phones are briefed about our pre-season friendlies. This portrays a very bad image of the club.
  12. Great news. He has a brilliant season and we flog him next year or the year after for a fortune.
  13. Surely no-one in the squad is guaranteed a regular game, everyone now a days is a squad player. Up to Chris Hogg to fight for his place and prove he is worth it wherever he goes. Good luck to him, though I would have liked him to stay.
  14. If Richie Brittain really does not want to leave area for 'family' reasons then we would do a lot worse than make him an offer. Apparently there is no love lost between him and old misery guts Adams.
  15. T Rex at the Empire. There were so few there that Marc Bolan offered those at the back in the cheap seats to come to the front.
  16. I worked in Mitchells as a message boy after school and on Saturdays from 1966 to 1968. The manager was Archie Macmillan who hailed from Kirkhill area. Stewart Speed was the assistant manager. Mitchells was owned by Gilbert Ross. The store on Academy Street was managed by Gilbert's son David who also pottered about in the Invergordon shop. They lived in a huge house in Culduthel Road called Evelix, now flats. My best mate Billy Webster who now lives in Edinburgh was message boy in Gilbert Ross's shop at the same time I was in Mitchells. Billy who hails from Dingwall is still an avid County fan. Our wages were £2 per week which rose to a wapping £3 a week when we worked full time during school holidays!
  17. Sorry if I've missed this but where is Roberts?
  18. Direct debit sounds good to me. £700 for 2 season tickets is a tough one each June/July.
  19. For the third home match in a row the gents toilets in the Main Stand North end h ad no hand towel paper in the dispensers at 2.45pm! That is very poor and reflects the sloppy attitude towards fans. The last two homes games had no bookies in place, this is probably some kind of contractural issue but a notice to fans advising when this well used facility is to be restored would seem a simple thing to do. As far as I know no attendance was announced today and no man of the match. Yet another sloppy, couldn't care about the fans attitude. Each of the above may help fans experience. On another post recently I suggested letting all season ticket holders of other clubs in the SPL or SFA 3 divisions into our games for half price. Even if we managed to get 100 County fans in at £10 then that would have added a grand to the income. Exceptions would be made for games against Celtic for example.
  20. All depends on the weather. If it snows what then, in the interests of public safety we should be promised a refund. Hearts fans can walk or take a £1.40 bus run, we travel over 300 miles. The venue choice is a disgrace. I'll be there though, couldn't miss us getting to our first final.
  21. Poor response from CAleyD. Most people looking at this website probably do as I do. That is: Purchase 2 season tickets, use the Caley CLub, pay for the bus, buy a programme, eat pies, buy souveniers, half time raffles, have 2 centenary club numbers and generally promote the club buy boring everyone to death about how great we are. SO looking at ourselves is good but not applicable here. How about offering everyone who holds a season ticket for any other club, County, Celtic, Rangers, Clach etc, half price entry to our games?
  22. Thanks for the responses. Had a look at a couple of number plate websites but they say that you cannot add your own artwork! Anyone know a supplier who will accept ICT logo?
  23. Does anyone know where you can get the ICT logo put on to a car number plate? My brother in law who lives in Essex, serves him right, wants to have his plates done. I have seen a couple of vehicles in Inverness with this done and it looks quite classy.
  24. Still smiling at the choice of music, absolutely brilliant, well done whoever. I'm sure we will be made equally as welcome when we go to Dingwall.
