Best wishes to Shinnie he has been a great servant for us and we will miss him. Nobody could deny that he is due bigger wages. BUT.........I would play him in the Under 20s from now on. He could pass on some valuable experience to the youngsters and serve the club well in that way. It's not fair for either party to keep playing Graeme. Imagine the scenario....we come to the last day of the season, it's us or the sheep for third place. Shinnie has an open goal, his options are a) he slams the ball into the back of the net and ICT take the Euro place, He soaks up the Inverness applause and drives down to Aberdeen where is treated appallingly by the Dons for the next 3 years..................... or b) he lofts it over the bar and his new club take the Euro place. Guess which option he chooses?

Very disappointed. We seem to have abandoned our passing game in favour of the big lump for the first 30 minutes. We were outclassed in mid field. Doran very poor and should have been hooked after an hour. Also we need to get street wise, Aberdeen players go to ground at every opportunity, you just need to look at them and down they go. Flog Shinnie in January and buy a big strapping striker to help out Billy and rough up defences.

Not at all happy with £18 for tickets. For goodness sake ICT look at the crowds last Saturday and learn a lesson. Very disappointed.

Great win, everyone played their part. Watkins my man of the match closely followed by Warren and then Vincent Mckay had a very good game. Why would we drop a man who gets into so many good scoring positions? The team is winning despite Mckay not scoring. If we were losing games then I would be worried. He will come good. Well done everyone.

Does anyone know if the Half Time Draw winning numbers are published on this website please? I am sure that I have seen it somewhere but cannot now find it.

I know a regular ICT fan who took along 2 primary school age boys to the Celtic game sitting in the North Stand. Directly in front of them were 4 adult Celtic fans, wearing their colours and who were all worse the wear presumably from drink. No great problem there then according to some of the posters on this topic. EXCEPT these 'fans' spent all game swearing and shouting loudly. When the parent of the boys reported this to the police they were told that it was nothing to do with them, it was the stewards responsibility. Well sorry it damn well is the police responsibility if there is public disorder in the guise of swearing in front of kids in public. It is also the stewards responsibility. If it falls to neither the police or stewards then why do we bother employing them. The club are sticking their heads in the sand over this issue.

I recall that Tokley was suspended or injured for the Clyde game and a very young lad named Proctor took his place at full back and played a blinder. Also remember the Partick vultures joining the away support hoping to pick up an SPL place.

CaleyD, I take it this on the stadium side of the road? Will look on Sunday but just cannot visualise a continuous cycle path on either side of the road approaching from harbour direction. After the game the pavement on the stadium side is, quite rightly, choc a bloc with fans leaving the stadium. Before a match it would be nigh on impossible to cycle on the pavement without incurring the wrath of fans approaching the ground. As I say I'll look out for the track and will be very interested to see what Charlie has been banging on about over the past two weeks.
-
Charlie Bannerman has mentioned a cycle track leading to the stadium two weeks running in his Highland News articles. Anyone know where it is? I cycle regularly to the games from the harbour direction and haven't seen it. It cannot be on the right hand side as you head to the park as cars are always banked up off road. On the left there is a short pavement but nothing resembling a cycle track to my knowledge. Last Saturday there were 3 bikes parked up at the racks at the front of the stadium, 2 of them were electric bikes and my old wreck. Perhaps if there is a cycle track, and it was sign posted, more folk may take advantage.

Very sad news. Given the Baltacha family attachment to both ICT and St. Johnstone a minutes silence at our game this week would be a fitting tribute from all in Inverness and Perth?

Obvious choice for Nick was to replace Watkins after an hour as Marley had run out of ideas and simply could not get past Robertson in the second half.
-
Williams excellent in first half. Christie excellent for an hour. Brill suspect at times. Devine good game. United much the better team in second half, they had a real go by shoving on extra forwards early. Nick Ross must be out of favour if he could only get on for Watkins (who was poor in second half) very late. Ref rubbish, Crowd very good, over 3000 home fans for an end of season match is good. The big success of the day was the playing of Iain Innes's favourite songs at half time, a very decent touch for a very decent bloke, RIP

Unbelievable, we were chatting to Iain at the TCS on Friday. Iain was a huge ICT and Scotland fan, RIP.

Who makes the decision as to what the new strips look like? Is it the Chairman, manager, committee, fans, groundsman.........

If you listened to the BBC radio interview as I did on the way to the match Yogi said something like 'Terry Butcher liked the team to play with wingers but I like to play the ball through the middle'. He went on to talk about kids kicking a ball against a wall and not kicking it 30 yards! Think he was trying to say that he likes a close passing game. We did play a close passing game tonight but most of our passes went back not forward. Very very poor stuff to watch and not at all fan friendly. Crowd at 2000 something tonight obviously agree. Poor stuff, the only bright spark was Christie and Watkins.

Delighted to see the two young local lads get a game and hold their own. Mckay NOT running on empty in my opinion, he is getting very few penalty box opportunities and that's where he scores from. For example today Shinnie lashes out a shot from an impossible angle in the second half when a square ball across the 6 yard line would have given Billy a tap in. Meekings is running on empty however. He is an excellent young talent but I for one thinks he needs the break he is now going to get.

Don't like the negative comments on this thread about Polworth. He is a very young lad who apparently is a model professional and just learning his trade. During the limited opportunities he has had he has been at least the equal of any of the other midfielders. For example against Hibs he probably worked as hard as anyone on the park constantly breaking up the Hibs play. He may not be the finished article but well worth a few starts before the end if the season. When you look at the so called tremendous young talent that Dundee United supposedly have then we need to 'big up' our local young boys not slag them off. Young players seldom play consistently well in the early years. I say let Polworth, Christie, Pepper and Evans have a decent run now, it will pay dividends in the long run.

I would like to put on record a huge vote of thanks to all those who worked so hard over the past few weeks to make our first Final appearance such a success. I don't personally know these individuals but everyone I encountered was top class. All the people from CaleyJags Together who gave many hours of their own time to sell tickets, organise transport, distribute travel vouchers, collect payment, etc etc, well done. Big thanks to the bloke who phoned me in Glasgow to let me know where Bus 6 was parked. Huge thanks to all volunteer stewards who gave their time to help folk on buses and trains. Massive thanks to the girls in the ICT portacabin who seemed under so much pressure but came through smiling. I even met a bloke from Edinburgh who had been promised a ticket in Glasgow from one if the ticket girls at the very last minute. He was on absolute tender hooks until the special train appeared and he got his tickets. I am sure there are loads of similar stories of togetherNess and generosity from those involved in our Final preparations. Sunday was a huge day for ICT and Inverness, well done everyone.

Agree with everything that has been said in the previous posts. I hope that Hughes has all the staff back in Tonight for a crisis meeting. That' s what would happen in any other business. These guys earn huge money compared to most, not much compared to some, but they showed very little today. Well done to all of us who paid a tenner today to suffer that. Esson, christie, polworth must start on Wednesday, after all they are part of the squad so there should be no fears about playing them. You never know one of them could put in a great performance and become part of the Final starting line up. Finally, why was the pitch not watered today, the poor bounces were the same for both teams but we just couldn't cope.

I want County in the Premier League and furthermore would love to see Elgin and Peterhead join us.

My son travelling from Newcastle and bother in law up from Essex.

I have no evidence for this but my poor old memory says that we do not do particularly well when we are live on the box. How will this affect us over the next two televised games?

I think it's a shame that we are losing sponsorship from such a high profile local business. This is a company who could have provided much needed income for many years to come. Mr. Savage is obviously a keen football fan and should be encouraged. There is no denying his business skills and our club could do a hell of a lot worse than engage him. If there is tension in the Boardroom then it is time it was sorted out for the common good of the City and our team. Why do all these big business characters not practice what they preach in their own everyday lives, TEAMWORK. Haste ye all back Messrs McGillivray, Sutherland and Savage.

Thanks for clearing that up. Scarves look great.
