  1. Worst player on the park Gnakpa. Not interested and I agree with previous post(s) that he should never get a start again. Best player on the park Billy McKay, he is the only player in our team who can take and hold a ball. What he needs is someone to play close to him and feed of his distribution. Player most needed, OTJ, . Butcher is making a fool of him by giving him 30 seconds at the end of each game.
  2. Regardless of opinions Proctor will always be to me the youngster who came into Tokely's right back position at Clyde when Tok was suspended and had a sensational game culminating in us going to the SPL. Great servant.
  3. I'd rather have Tokley and Proctor in the team than out at the moment. At least both these blokes play for the shirt and will give 100% over 90 minutes unlike the shirkers yesterday. We have too many fancy imports who don't give a stuff about ICT.
  4. Agree with just about every comment on here today. A complete waste of time and precious hard earned money. I have two season tickets and I am afraid the novelty of being in the SPL has worn off, I now want some entertainment and commitment, neither of which we have seen for a very long time. One poster I would disagree with is the one who questionned the MOM award to Mackay. He was our only decent player. He works very hard and much much more importantly is the only player in the squad, not just the team, who can take and hold a ball. Mackays first touch is very good but no more than you would expect from a professional footballer. What on earth do these blokes do in training. Gutless performance from a bunch of well paid individuals. Really pi**ed off. One last thing, why does Butcher insist on sitting in the stand until we are 2 or 3 down. Get on to the touchline man and lead................going to have a drink.
  5. It has indeed been a marvellous achievement by all concerned to construct our stadium. No-one would ever wish to say anything against all those people who put thier hands in their pockets and spent hours, days, weeks etc of their time on our success since entering the leagues. BUT. The fact is the stadium has no atmosphere and in it's present form never will. I always thought that when we got past the Caley/Jags thing and moved into a new era of youngsters supporting the club that we would 'grow a crowd' of noisy fans from the youth of Inverness but that hasn't happened. Dunfermline had about 100 fans at today's game and they constantly and consistently out shouted our fans. The stadium is partly to blame. Really surprised to learn about the Gas pipe thing! How on earth did we get planning permission to build the stadium knowing that this pipe is so close. Anyone with half a brain could have guessed that someday we may think about building a fourth enclosure, unbelievable. Well done Dougal for raising this, freedom of speech and all that. Bah humbug to those who cannot take the post in the manner in which I am sure it was meant.
  6. Golobart man of the match by a mile. Many folk have been moaning, myself included, that we lost a centre back at the end of last season who could defend but couldn't pass a ball to save himself, ie Grant the hoofer. Well Golobart looked today like his double and boy was I glad that we had him on our side. The lad is only 19 and my guess is that we will be watching TV in 5 or 6 years time saying 'did he really play for us?' Foran had a very good 60 minutes but then he gets tired and cannot find a man with a pass. Mackay also, IMHO, had a good game, he holds the ball up well, and is the only player in the team with a first touch and is tricky in the box. Be positive, we will skin them at East End Park.
  7. SPL, bottom 6 and skirting with relegation most seasons. The sad fact is that at 3pm this coming Saturday we need to think about scoring 3 goals because based on this season's performance we will shed at least 2 goals.
  8. Cannot understand what all the debate is about. The Old Firm fans never sit when they come to Inverness so why spend time and money and all the hot air that is going to be spouted about this subject? I'll be interested to see if the Dons fans, assuming they travel in large numbers this weekend, stand or sit throughout the game. One thing is for sure the stewards won't challenge them. One of the reasons for thinking about this is that it may increase the crowds which is a load of rubbish. The only thing that will increase crowds is by reducing the entrance fee. A couple going to watch ICT versus the likes of Hamilton equals almost ?50 without buying a pie, or a bovril or a programme or a half time raffle or the bus to the game etc. ?50 is not value for money. Also remember the reason for this and the poor souls who perished at Hillsborough, how quickly we forget.
  9. Great blog. Would encourage everyone to read it and comment. There are a lot of Hibees commenting which shows how much they respected Chris. Come on ICT fans get on and pledge your support.
  10. Regardless of who was on the bench, TB is becoming a broken record. He is an ex International defender who cannot organise a defence as a Manager. It is now HIS team, no excuses Terry. What on earth do these blokes do all week? REDEMPTION: BEAT ABERDEEN ......PLEASE
  11. Yeh TB at his usual, everyone's fault but his. Fact is he made a massive error today in putting Davies at full back and he knows it. After Hogg wnet off, massive bad luck for us again, we lost the midfield battle big time. We got really lucky getting the second goal when we did even although it was a great goal and then we capitulated. Butcher guilty, despite what he said he had plenty options and he picked the worst.
  12. Hayes man of the match was a disgrace. Never bothered his ar*e after scoring and laying on the second. He cost us big time by not tracking back and didn't look at all interested after 60 minutes played. Why on earth did Butcher expose Davies, who had been booked earlier, by putting him at full back? He was a cert to be sent off. Ridiculous decison when Piermiyr is on the bench. Foran is, and was today, absolutely hopeless, he cannot win a ball in the air, he cannot hold a ball, he cannot find a man with a pass, he cannot get a shot on target, he has no pace.............., he mumps and moans all game ............... Finally Butcher shouting at unhappy fans is totally unacceptable, he is massively well paid compared to most of the fans sitting in the stands, if he can't stick it then tough, move on, all talk and no action. Loosing over 2 goals per game is a complete joke. Dundee United deserved to win because they wanted it and we didn't, simples
  13. This must be the third or fourth time I've said this but how on earth do we keep loosing so many goals when we are 'managed' by 2 ex International defenders? What on earth do they do in training? The problem I guess for the defenders is that they do not come up against strikers in training because we don't have any. Get Wyness and Dargo up here, just for the training, before we get cut adrift. Where on earth is the bloke McKay who was taken on as a striker? We must win our next 2 games or we will be swoping places with that lot across the bridge. Sorry about the rambling but I'm getting really worried.
  14. Save the ?1000, the appeal would have no chance. If we are intent on throwing away this money why not put on free buses to the next 2 away games and give the team support in that way.
  15. Agree with most of the comments. We were mince and fully deserved to get a hammering. Few mentions though for Tokely today. He had a very good game and even handled that little pain in the a*se Buchanan well after he came on. How many times has he haunted us through the leagues! If Proctor and Tok are all we have then it is up to the midfield to protect them more than they did today. And we need 6 points out of the next 12 available or we surely will be adrift.
  16. Hold this post until the end of October. By Butcher's own admission this is a crucial month with some winable games coming up. In any case with new 2 year contracts signed there is no chance the management duo will be going anywhere.
  17. I've said it before and here I go again. Until we get a decent experienced central controlling defender in we are going to struggle big time. I can't believe how our management team of ex international defenders couldn't see this and continued to attract a load of lightweight mid fielders to the club. All this being done whilst off loading a tried and tested central defender whose new club now top the 1st division. Next week now becomes a relegation battle.
  18. Whilst I agree with most of what Scotty says I still maintain that population has a major part to play. It is a fact that Celtic probably attract more people into their stadium each week than live in and around Inverness. That shows how few folk live up here compared to the Central belt. There is a definite saturation point, believe it or not, not everyone enjoys football. The few of us who do attend every game come hell or high water have only limited amounts of disposable cash. Some great ideas though in Scotty's and the following posts.
  19. Inverness population circa 60,000 ICT average gate 3,500 Aberdeen population circ 240,000 Dons average gate 10,500 I'm sure the above figures are not particularly accurate BUT they aren't far off. What it shows is that we punch above our weight in terms of average gates. When you look at last Saturday; we had 4,100. County had 2,000 a combined total of over 6,000 for the area. That's a very large average attendance for any team outwith the top 3 or 4 in the SPL. A new stadium wouldn't alter these figures in my opinion. If we had one team representing the North based in Inverness we may have had a chance. However being a massive Caledonian FC follower for over 50 years I would have hated that to happen.
  20. Despite what others have said Andrew Shinnie had a very very good game in the second half. When they called Shinnie MOM I thought, well maybe he does deserve it based on his last 40 minutes but then discovered it was his bruv who got it. Really disappointed that we didn't get 3 points because we thoroughly deserved them. Rooney, given the chances Tade had, would have had at least a hat trick. But we all know that Tade was not a replacement for Rooney, we don't have a striker this season! I still think we will give someone a 'hellofa beating' sometime soon.
  21. Does he (KC) have the time to dedicate to the job?
  22. As per a previous post there is no chance of Savage becoming Chairman as he isn't on the Board. It has been made very clear that the appointment will be from within the current Board.
  23. We've got two ex-International defenders as coaches and have the worst defensive record in the league by a mile. What on earth do they do in training? This is a crisis.
  24. Don't want to be negative as this is a great idea, BUT, D & E coaches? That will be the lot who provide stinky buses from the Caley Club for every home game. The same D & E coaches whose bus was about 2 feet deep in water upstairs and downstairs at the back end of last season soaking everyone sitting in window side seats when the bus abrubtly stopped. The seats too were soaking wet. When I wrote them to complain/comment they wrote back saying someone had left the windows open and the rain got in! Almost impossible given the way the windows open. The truth is that they probably wash out the buses with a hose and forgot to sweep or drain it out. By the way their website says they provide quality coaches which are thoroughly checked prior to each journey, I think not. Sorry D & E coaches are consistently smelly and positively sub standard judging by the Caley Club experience.
  25. Alan Savage back as Chairman for next season?
