  1. Who's heading for this one then? Can't imagine there will be a big away support i'm afraid. Heading with a few others to the London Road Tavern before the game then hopefully the team can justify my £26 ticket! Hopefully Butcher gets the lads mentally prepared for this one. They owe everyone a performance after Saturday. Can we get our first ever league win at Parkhead? I believe!
  2. HT: 1-0 FT: 2-1 1st ICT Tade 1st Opp: Hooper Crowd: 6612
  3. So Chris Huhne has resigned after being charged. He claims that his ex wife is lying about the speeding offenses. Now she is being charged as well... irony! IMO the cabinet have lost 2 of the best Lib Dem MP's since the coalition was formed. Chris Huhne and David Laws. Probably the only 2 that were competent enough to challenge President Clegg in a potential leadership challenge. Laws was replaced by the ginger rodent and Huhne is being replaced by an unknown Lib Dem MP. It will take 1 more Lib Dem Cabinet member to fall before a general election. My money is on Vince Cable. I'd even put a wager that before the end of 2012 we will have a snap general election, President Clegg will lose his seat, the SNP will take Sneck from the ginger rodent and if the boundaries aren't re-drawn, Charles Kennedy will win his seat again and lead a group of about 7 (at the most) Lib Dem MP's in Westminster.
  4. Hibs are panicking. It reminds me of when they got relegated the last time with all the panic buys.
  5. Oh dear.
  6. Did Thistle ever play without stripes? I found this top randomly on line. I'm not interested in purchasing it but i'm wondering how close to the real thing it is as it doesn't look like your average Jaggy top..... Anyone around in 1951........... http://www.uksoccershop.com/p-16522/inverness-thistle-fc-1951--1952.html?aff_sys=webgains&siteid=87979
  7. Isn't Ryan Christie, Charlies son? If it's the same one, I thought he was still in the youth set up for ICT?
  8. Got my ticket a couple of weeks back. Celtic are on the ball this time. £26 unrestricted, £23 restricted. Depsite the poor view I always enjoy Parkhead. Very good pub as well beside it. Well, when I say good, it's good craic but very very rough, The London Road Tavern. Wonderful atmosphere in there on match day and the locals are usually friendly towards us. Apart from one wifey who tried to attack us with a flag with the Popes face on it, and another guy unhappy about ICT fans singing ICT songs whilst he was trying to sing the Irish national anthem. Generally speaking though, i always enjoy it, but yes it is a steep admission price.
  9. Interesting. If a 'new club' was formed. Would they retain SPL status? After all, if they are a new club wouldn't they have to apply to enter the SFL first? It would be unfair on teams who don't abuse the tax system, if Rangers started again with a new club, and were automatically granted access into the SPL. Lots of First Division teams who pay their taxes would have something to say. Actually, the team that gets relegated from the SPL, whilst not abusing the tax system to enhance their team could have a case.
  10. I'm looking forward having them with us in the SPL if everything goes to plan. However, a better way of looking at their league position is: We're 3 points from 6th. They are 13th.
  11. "Jonathan "Jonny" Tuffey (born 20 January 1987[1] in Banbridge, Northern Ireland) is a Northern Irish professional association football player who plays as a goalkeeper for Inverness Caledonian Thistle." although nothern irelands no2 (well to me anyway) lee camp is english Well he has an English accent, so I just presumed.... wrongly. I'm not often wrong, but sometimes i'm mistaken.
  12. I thought Tuffey is English? Well Tuffey has a broad English accent anyway. With grandparents from Ulster, which is why he is eligable for NI?
  13. Have we joined a new union with the Republic of Ireland? Will they share the same head of state? It has to be Vetle for worst player.
  14. HT: 1-0 FT: 2-0 1st ICT: Tansey 1st Opp: Imrie Crowd: 3449
  15. We seem to be able to pick up 'unwanted players' and bring out the best in them. Excited about this signing. As Scotty said, since Butcher has tracked Gnasher for a while, I have a feeling he will be a good signing for us.
  16. I was always proud of being a mainly Scottish team, but it is very refreshing having all these new players. Some teams like Midden have gone for good but not very interesting signings. Butchers surprises make life more interesting. They turn out to be good most of the time. It's 3 years to the day since the start of the Butcher revolution. Here's to 3 and many more.....
  17. Interesting. Same school and 1 year older than the lad who tweeted to Tade (although I think the Tade offender has already left school). Possibly a culture of thinking it's cool / funny / smart to be racist? Speculation of course!
  18. So you do pronounce the g? I wondered... Incidentally, can anyone tell me definitively whether the g in 'Gnasher' was/is pronounced? When I was a kid, the Beano readers at school could never reach a consensus. silent G.My dad worked for DC Thompson for some time, in commando comics, so he knows. Which Commando Comic did Gnasher appear in? I don't remember reading that one The one where the Commandos dress up as comic characters and ditch their traditional camouflage!
  19. Gnasher?
  20. Oh dear! Can of worms well and truly opened!!!
  21. Jaggy gnasher!
  22. Wayne Addicot. During the second half of a midweek game at Brechin produced the following encounter. Caldwell: 'Stay in the centre of the park!' Addicot then stood on the centre circle and when the ball trundled past him, he stood still and watched it go past! He was then subbed and left not long after that!
  23. So you do pronounce the g? I wondered... Incidentally, can anyone tell me definitively whether the g in 'Gnasher' was/is pronounced? When I was a kid, the Beano readers at school could never reach a consensus. I always presumed it's a silent G. And don't call him Shirley!
  24. Mothwerwell V Pars tonight. A Pars win takes us closer to relegation, a Well win takes us further away from a European spot. What in interesting season!
