  1. Good shout, like the famous liverpool bootroom. But sadly Cant ever see terry and mo parting. Decent shout about Robbo being Leveins number two, i reckon that would be a great partnership! Robbo has always had a place in his heart for us.
  2. And what about the respect for us?
  3. Ok, as a club we have tended to go for young ambitious managers. However Tel has shown us that an old wise head isnt bad either. So if i was to draw a shortlist it would be something like this. Young and ambitious: Paul Hartley. Paul at Alloa has won the 3rd div and secured promotion to the 1st div in successive years on no budget(like us). His team is made up of young talent so he clearly has eye for talent or has an efficient backroom team. Also they are currently 5th in 1st div. Colin Cameron. Has done a cracking job at keeping Cowden in 1st div on no budget and is used to pash crowds. I believe cowdens average is 300 or somthing Old wise head: Craig Levein. Ok had a horrific time as scotland manager but his club record is impeccable. Took Hearts to europe in succesive years. Only jambo manager to do this. Took a lowly Dundee Utd in 2005 to the best of the rest in 2009 and took them to a league cup final. He has never won a trophy so our league cup potential may lure him. Alex mcleish. Had great success at hibs and Rangers. However this success came from spending money (which wasnt there). Has had mixed success in England but knows how to take average teams to cup finals and sometimes win them. Imo i would like Levein or Hartley. However what are the chances of Levein as manager and Hartley as number 2? That would be pretty fecking awesome tbh!!
  4. Delighted to hear you enjoyed yourself again despite the result. Not fancy fridays derby however? Atmosphere alone will be special. Im actually hoping to be down your way soon. Got a mate who has a season ticket in the Holmesdale and is willing tp give it to me for one game, so hopefully all works out. Last night was tragic though lol ForzaCaleyPalace
  5. I predict a riot......or we could just stay behind for 2 hours this time :)
  6. Are you sure? Because on OTB they reckon Scott 'out for a throw' Boyd should be picked for Scotland. For real! As for Granty.......he's finally seen the light! ;)
  7. Got mine, in the singing section ofcourse :). However £22 is a little steep dont you think when im used to paying £16. So much for the highlands 'community' club...
  8. . I agree! To call one of our fellow fans who is also a member of the armed forces an "idiot", frankly is deeply offensive and upsets me greatly!
  9. I think we all know which way Joey will be voting next Sept....
  10. Getting ripped a new one today it seems :'(
  11. I remember about 5 years ago (2007/08) on this forum this exact question was asked. The general consensus then was that we had gone as far as we could, as had County, and a merger would be the only way both clubs could compete for the top positions. With ICT riding high atm after such an amazinng season last term and Ross County also playing in the top flight now, how do we feel about the question now? Personally my position hasn't wavered since the question was first asked. NO FECKIN WAY! If a merger was ever considered I would form a break away club called AFC Inverness or something
  12. Oh my word! Please don't tell me our fans take this guy seriously? He's about as historically credible as a black pudding supper!
  13. Ahhh yes a special crest. We could go out for all gold like Swansea did last year. @Kirishma. Its not the fans who desing the shirt. At FC United, their kit suppliers (O'niels) present 4 Different types of design to the fans whom then vote on which one they want. So in our case Errea would draw up 2/3 different Designs then we vote on what we want.
  14. Fair point Kirishma but I just thought it would be nice to have some fan involvement for our 20th anniversary. Personally I'm not a fan of a 94/95 replica, I just put it out there as a suggestion.....and it's pretty evident already it wouldn't go down well anyway. A blue red vertical even striped shirt like the 95/96 would be perfect imho! However I'll still like to see a return to white shorts. A blue/red striped shirt with blue shorts and socks is all to much like Barca/Palace, even Viktoria Plzen had that combo against Citeh. I'm pretty certain we would be the only club in Europe to have blue/red stripes and white shorts, and if we are to make an assault on Europe, it would be nice to have our own identity in that sense!
  15. Now you're all probably thinking, 'why on earth are we talking about this just now?'...However next season will be our 20th year and I believe the fans should have a say in what the new strip should be like. The current away shirt was designed after consultation with CJT and from what I've heard the final design was submitted as early as December 2012. This could mean that the club and CJT are already or are about to talk about our new home shirt for next year. So its paramount we get our views in as early as possible! I created this topic so fans will be able to express what they would like the new shirt to be and so CJT and the club could see the fans views. Also FC United of Manchester present their members with 4 different shirt designs every couple of seasons. The fans then get to vote for their favourite with the winning shirt being the new home/away shirt. Would the club and CJT be prepared to do this for our special 20th year? Now, I would normally ask for simple blue and red even and vertical stripes like the 95/96 shirt. NO fancy swooshes or diagonal stripes. NO more blue than red or vice versa, 50% blue and 50% red. However with the current red and black striped away I would be open to an all blue shirt with red/black trim like our 94/95 first strip. Also I would like to see a return to white shorts like we had between 94-97.
  16. I thought he was fully French but at least ex ICT and current ICT are getting noticed by their countries (mainly being Northern Ireland atm). Hahaha wooosh
  17. Well FCUM sadly lost 2-0 to Rushall but the atmosphere was electric! With 5 mins to go at 2-0 down FC Fans carried on singing right to the last whistle. The passion of FCUM fans is undisputed, they truly are one of the best supports I've ever come across. Also the fact that pretty much everyone of the 2000 crowd took part in the overall atmosphere, really hit home how (apart from SectionE) sh1te are home fans are!! Anyway a thoroughly enjoyed day and the FCUM folks are extremely friendly. Will defo be heading back in the future!
  18. A German friend of mine also said how a 'match ticket' in Germany also allows you to use and National transport system for free. So Nuremberg fans can get to Hanover on a train/tram/bus with no added cost. If we have to keep the ticket prices the same, why don't we look into offering more with your ticket ie free bus ride to anywhere in town.
  19. FC United promote affordable football. At £8 adults and £2 under 18s they get average crowds of 2500-3000 in the 7th tier of 2nglish football. German football is buzzing atm because of affordable tickets and standing areas. Bundesliga grounds are full to capacity every week and have the highest average attendaces in Europe. Ok, I don't have evidence to prove that lowering tickets at ICT would improve attendances. However its true in other countries that if the price is right....people will come!
  20. Would have been my choice had I not been in Leyland. Locos are on fire just now
  21. Lowering ticket prices. I know we have the cheapest tickets in the league, but still, they're not exactly 'cheap'! £15-20 adults £10 concessions Under 12 free That is not unreasonable and would benefit everyone!
  22. The first International break of the new season has been designated the official 'Non League Day' by the FSF for the past three season. NLD was set up so that supporters of PL teams in England and Scotland could go and support their local non league side. I'm going to be visiting family in Leyland this weekend so will be making my way to Gigg Lane Bury to watch FC United of Manchester, rather looking forward to it. Anyone else thinking about taking in a non league fixture this weekend? (You could always go and watch Luke Mackay play for Inverness Citeh) haha
