  1. I notice Nick Ross has scored his first goal for his new club, El Paso Locomotive, way over in the far west of Texas, right on the Mexican border. I think they are in the second tier of US soccer.
  2. Not the most confident win, but I'll take it. 2 superb goals. Well done lads.
  3. I missed that sad news re Ginger MacKenzie. My all time favourite Caley player. His wife was best friends with one of my elder sisters. I visited him at his home in Winnipeg many years ago and they made me very welcome. Thanks for posting the news, sad though it was to read.
  4. Sounds like a pretty confident away win keeping us well in touch with the play off places. Well done lads. Looks like we're hitting good form at the right time. Two tough Friday night televised matches to negotiate next. Win these and we've got every chance . Keep it going lads. Onwards and upwards.
  5. Obviously begs the question " did she go or was she pushed"? I may be being unfair to her but I'm not sure what impact she made to the efficient running of the club in her short tenure. Perhaps those closer to the action could answer that.
  6. Being selfish about it, Glasgow (or even Edinburgh) would suit me best from a travel (flights) point of view. But I can see the argument for a smaller stadium from a crowd/atmosphere point of view. I just wish they would get it sorted so that I, and all the others, who will be flying, can get their travel and accommodation in place asap. Time is money, especially where flights are concerned. I've seen a difference already, for both 13 and 14 Apr, since I started looking at potential flights immediately following our win at Tannadice a few days ago.
  7. Certainly hope we don't have to wait for the Dons/Sevco replay before knowing the date/time. Quite a few of us have flights to book. I had hoped to do that tomorrow.
  8. I'm sure you are correct great one. How brilliant that will be. Come on Plastic Whistle tomorrow!
  9. White 5 Doran 3 Chalmers 1 But really, I would have given the whole team 5 if allowed.
  10. Well done CD, it certainly looks as if Coll will be ok based on these rules.
  11. I see there is no 'Man of the match' thread yet. For once, it will be a difficult decision to leave anyone out of the top 3. They were all heroes, and no one had a poor game. But my 3 for MOM would be White, Doran and Chal;mers in that order.
  12. Yes, unlike Stephen Thompson with his biased comments at the end.
  13. Still buzzing! If we can play with that commitment for the rest of the season we can beat anybody. Play offs should hold no fears for us now. Well done to all the team. They played today as if they really wanted it more than Utd. Roll on Hampden, and the rest of the season.
  14. Justice done in the end. Firstly it was never a penalty for Utd. Nor was Austin offside for his 'goal'. We thoroughly deserved that win. Better side throughout. Hampden here we come. AGAIN!
  15. Well, a win is a win. Other results good for us too. Happy days. Well done everybody.
  16. Yes, he might give him until 8.30?
  17. Thanks KM. Looking forward to the match highlights now!
  18. Still basking this morning in that warm feeling of Scottish Cup success. btw, who scored our 5th penalty? (as I said on another post, my internet went down at the crucial moment). Great performance by all 5 penalty takers in what must have been a hugely pressurised situation. Not forgetting, of course, Mark Ridgers contribution in saving one. Well done again to all concerned.
  19. What a fantastic ending. My internet connection went down just as Draper was running up to take his penalty. I'm still fuming that I didn't hear the ending live. But, what joy. Wonder what AS and the other White 'bashers, are thinking now? Well done to all the team. Our season may just kick on now.
  20. Really enjoyed that and, but for their keeper, we would have won it by a goal or two. Mind you, Ridgers had a good game too, but MOM without a doubt was Tremarco. I was actually at Oxford Utd v Sunderland last Saturday. I have a pal who is a Sunderland fan and Oxford is as close as they get these days to where we live in Berks. There is often a lot of talk down here about how poor Scottish football is, but tonight's game was far superior to Saturday's in every aspect. OK it was only EL1 but Sunderland are not that long out of the English Premiership! So well done to both sides tonight for trying to play football, and certainly giving both sets of fans some excitement. Pity we couldn't hold on for a deserved win, but all to play for in the replay next week, and Dundee Utd in next round must give us a good chance of advancement. Onwards and upwards!
  21. Pretty sure you can get it. Have sent you a PM
  22. Good article, and great to watch the highlights again. One of my favourite ever games.
  23. Well, that must have been a real squeaky bum time for most of the second half. But, how great to finally win a game where all the stats indicate that we should probably have lost it. Makes a nice change. Well done to all concerned. Maybe there is hope for this season after all.....
