Ex-ICT players' news
Great to hear about Brill getting success. He was great for us,

Well done Alloa
Of the teams coming up, I assume Arbroath are part time. Of those in the play offs, are Raith Rovers full time? I'd imagine Forfar and Montrose are part time. As an aside, did young Hoban get any game time at Forfar?

The Promotion Race
Relieved it's Wednesday if we finish fourth, as I can attend. I'd have missed it if Tuesday.

Mark Ridgers
Excellent news. He's become an asset for us, and is also a really nice local guy!

2019/20 Season Tickets
I've had a letter from the club promoting the early bird offer. I will get mine next week some time.

Alloa -V- Inverness CT
Just watched the (brief) highlights. The penalty looked soft to me. I know we give Rooney some stick, but that was a fine shot, and he has weighed in with a good few goals this season. Great to see Trafford score: he has come on immensely recently, although still prone to easy bookings, and could be even more important next season without Polly. Have we any players at risk of suspension at present? Hopefully we do better than Ayr on Saturday and secure 3rd but, to be honest, at the start of the season I'd have seen a cup semi and play off place as a great outcome. Well done lads, lets go for it over what will hopefully be the next 7 games!

Can you update the list to show McHattie rather than Tremarco, please. I was going to give McHattie one, then realised I couldn't. Thank you. <<My Bad! Sorted, thanks tm4tj>>

Semi Final Team
Probably depends on McCart’s fitness, which I hope he is. On that assumption, my starting line up would be: Ridgers Rooney Mckay McCart Tremarco Trafford Chalmers Walah Polworth Doran White But after Tannadice, Robbo could have another rabbit hiding under his hat. Fingers crossed!!

The Promotion Race
Given we have 29 points from 16 away games and only 20 from 16 home games, 4th is probably our best option. We are Ayr’s bogey team so a draw at home in the first leg then an away win..... We also have a decent record against United, so same again! Then all to play for against Hamilton, St Mirren or Dundee. I may be being optimistic, but who knows!!

Angus Beith Retires : Club Statement
I hope the testimonial is well supported. Looking at the Stranraer post, he had potential but sadly we will not now see him deliver it. I really hope Angus has a great future out with football.

Who's all going to Hampden
I’ve a nightmare.... pre booked holiday in Cyprus (ok, not that bad) but our flight to Gatwick is 5 minutes after kick off. I won’t know the result until we land at 1715. It will then be a happy or dismal period before our Inverness flight at 2030. And I’ve to drive home.... I was at the semi in 2015 and hope you all have as great a day as I had then. Come on Caley Thistle, make this a great season that we will all remember!!

Partick Th -V- Inverness CT
I watched it on tv with an excitable 7 year old who remembered us losing to them at home a few weeks back. I was worried at half time, as we were on top but had not managed to score, Chalmers coming closest, and the keeper saving Donaldson's header. Partick started the second half better, but what a goal: White's dummy was sublime, setting Doran up for a great goal! Shame we lost the equaliser, but Ridgers had no chance. I feared the worst, as earlier in the season we would have, at best, drawn, but what a winner. Dorian's lay off was incredible, only matched by Walsh's finish. Credit to all 13 who played, a great result, and they closed the game down very well to avoid the risk of a late equaliser. Ridgers was rarely troubled. McKay had a quiet game, although his poor touch put us in trouble early on. Tremarco was pushing forward as usual. Donaldson and McCart are a sound pairing. Trafford is transformed, but may drop out now Walsh is back. A tough call for Robbo whether he or Chalmers starts. Welsh had a good game, Chalmers was quieter although he nearly got an opener in the first half. Polworth had a couple of wayward efforts, but controlled the game when in mattered late on. Doran is back to his best. He was quite quiet early on, but a goal and an assist proves his worth. He is on song, and we are doing much better as a result. White terrorised the defence, and created the first goal. He has really settled into the front man role for us. Great to see Walsh back, and what a finish from Doran's clever lay off. When the MOM thread starts, for me it is Doran, White and Welsh. Back in fourth, with Alloa, Falkirk and Ross County at home to come, we have scope for optimism! Come on Caley Thistle, let's make this a great season!!

Queen of the South -V- Inverness CT
Take great result today. Queens have been on a bad run, but we needed to get the job done, and we did it well. I'm really looking forward to Friday evening. Our formation currently seems to be working well, and County are a few players short too. Time to show them (again) that we are the best team in the Highlands! I really hope we get a great home support. Come on guys!!

Have a look at the player rater on the BBC website. Doran justifiably the MOM, but United fans must have voted low for Coll...... Great he had the last laugh!!

Player of the Year - Dundee Utd - Cup
All deserve 5, but my pick: Doran Trafford Chalmers
-
Dundee Utd -V- Inverness CT (Cup)
We really deserved that. A great team effort. I must admit I was worried when I saw Trafford was starting, but what a performance. Equally when I saw the formation with Chalmers wide right, I was wondering what we were playing at, but a stroke of genius from Robbo. What a goal and if he had not hit the ball so sweetly, his second effort would surely have gone in too. Doran was immense. White has been growing on me, and is clearly far more confident than earlier in the season. Polworth and Welsh also had great games in the middle. The defence was solid, and must have had one of their easiest afternoons for a long time. As for the "penalty" and the "offside", justice was done! Roll on a day out at Hampden!

Angus Beith
McDonald played a big part in our equaliser with a positive run before playing it on to a Polworth, who's sublime pass set White up. Even the dismally short BBC highlights commentary picked up on Polworgh's vision to make the chance. What a night!!
