  1. Go cross country from Stirling to Balloch (not our one!) rather than through Glasgow
  2. I'm guilty of that too! I spent my school years in Corpach, when Fort William were not a Highland League team, and despite being brought up playing shinty and rugby, I always went to their occasional big cup games against Highland League teams. I still look for their results, more in hope than expectation, but my loyalty is now to ICT and I have been a season ticket holder since returning to live near Inverness a few years ago. I'm a realist, not a happy clapper, and have enjoyed the good times, and will continue to give my support no matter what the future holds. As a football fan from Fort William........
  3. I've only used mine for the Morton game and the offer on the Brechin cup tie. Not through choice but due to holiday and family commitments. Am I unique in not seeing us lose this season? I plan to be at all future home games regardless of how we are doing. Either insanity or loyalty. Take your pick!!
  4. I missed today's game as returning from a week off, but "open all mikes" was depressing on the A9! Sounds like we need to get a grip and focus on getting points. Assuming the Fon Williams position is irreversible, we probably need to stick with Ridgers as Mackay is out on loan. Did we play 3 or 4 at the back today? Hopefully Tremarco is ready to start next week, so he and Raven are full backs, but centre backs seem to be our problem. None of Warren, Mckay, Elsdon and Donaldson are impressing. Time for a back three of Raven, Warren and Tremarco? Trafford, Vigurs and Polworth are first picks. We need wide players willing to track back if we go with 3 at the back. I would let Mulraney get a run with his speed, with Calder on the other flank. Up front, Bell is the pick of the signings, with Oakley showing potential. So my team for next week: Ridgers Raven Warren Tremarco Mulraney, Polworth, Trafford, Vigurs, Calder Bell, Oakley
  5. Fair comments KIngsmills and Huisdean, but I feel it fair to seek reassurance that our training and fitness regimes are up to scratch! In my employment, I would be held to account, so why should ICT powers that be not be? Simple feedback can make all the difference to how we feel, as we have already seen this season.
  6. With a disappointing start to the season, albeit probably inevitable with all the changes on and off the pitch, there are some issues causing concern to fans. We desperately want the club to succeed and, at the very least, challenge for promotion, but it would be helpful to understand some of the issues that are causing concern. We respect that some items must remain confidential until they can be disclosed, but fans would be reassured with feedback on: 1. The position with Owain Fon Williams and his likely involvement this season. 2. The implied criticism made by Ross County of the fitness levels of our players and our training regime, as quoted in the Press and Journal with reference to Ross Draper. 3. Possibly linked to the above, the run of injuries over the last two seasons. Hopefully you read this and can comment. Thank you.
  7. Our next two games are against teams round about us in the league at present, so will tell us a lot. Two wins and we could be on the up, two defeats and a battle looms. Hopefully we get our first home league win on Saturday.

Read the comments and watched the on line "highlights" of the St Mirren match. Do we know our best, fit starting 11? From what I've seen and read, everything else being equal and injuries unchanged, I would pick: Fon Williams Raven Tremarco Warren Chalmers Trafford Vigurs Polworth Bell Baird Oakley
  9. A few decent moves and goals from the youngsters.
  10. I always hope for the best but fear the worst....... If we can get out of this group, it will be tremendous after the poor start, but there is a lot of water to flow under a lot of bridges. A win tomorrow night with England doing us a favour will do nicely for starters!
  11. What was the formation? four at the back, holding midfield, then 4 midfield with Cooper and Calder wide, with only Baird up front?
  12. Marley Watkins was an unused sub for Wales in their win against Austria tonight.
  13. Judging by the Highland News report, Raven scored a cracker!
  14. A 3-0 win against an army team at Fort George. Tremarco played. There is a game against Clach lined up for Wednesday too according to the press.
  15. Hopefully Tremarco gets at least part of the game to help him back to match fitness. I know some fringe p,Yers will start, such as Donaldson, so will be interesting to see the line up. Like others, I think we should field a strong team aimed at getting a strong result and boosting confidence. What about: Ridgers Raven Elsdon Donaldson Tremarco Trafford Polworth Vigurs Calder Bell Oakley
  16. I'm sorry, but none of us should be condoning flares or smoke bombs at any match.
  17. And they have probably condemned my home town team to another season in bottom place!
  18. I felt he got some unjustified stick last season. Hopefully his early form continues and he guides us up the league. My only criticism is that he can talk himself into trouble, as he did against Morton, hopefully that does not happen too often.
  19. Excellent! Come on Polly!!
  20. Robert replied to IBM's topic in Caley Thistle
This is a comment, not a complaint, but if anyone from the club reads this, any chance of updating the Centenary Club results for the last two weeks? Thanks.
  21. Great news that Polly had a good game.
  22. I meant it is closing fast for Fon Williams if he is genuinely after a move away.
  23. Robert replied to Moogthurso's topic in Caley Thistle
I thought he did OK against Morton. A couple of wobbles, but most of our players had them! If we stick with 3 5 2, will a Tremarco be part of the 3 or the 5?
  24. Robert replied to bigman's topic in Caley Thistle
Raven rightly a legend for his semi final goal and the celebration where he was clearly as surprised as us! A real shame he was injured for the final. The club should commit for this full season and then take a view, he deserves fair treatment. I really thought he was being primed to come on at half time against Morton, but that didn't happen and he just got a few minutes after Seedorf was sent off.
  25. Transfer window closing fast.....
