  1. Duff had an offer on the table and he didn't take it up. To me that say's he is no longer an ICT player and I'm sure the management will have enough to concern themselves with building a new team and seeking out other players to be dwelling over the whereabouts of this player.
  2. A lot of debate on whether or not he should keep his job. Forgetting the nature of this crime for a moment and looking at crime in general why should a criminal not have to suffer the consequences of his or her actions. Many people have lost jobs, family etc because of a criminal act. Professional drivers who commit offences that result in loss of licence is a classic example. We may just be talking very minor offences that result, through the totting up system, in a ban. No licence, no job. Life wrecked. Even after the ban is served the person may have difficulty securing this line of employment. Conviction for fraud and its unlikely any finance house will employ. Theft and most business's will say no. These can be the consequences of crime, no matter how serious or trivial some may think it. The message in all this should not be 'commit a sex offence and we'll debate whether or not you keep your job'. The message should be 'commit a crime and your life and career could be destroyed forever'.
  3. Dont need him....................we've got the new 'machine'
  4. What I dont understand is this from the Courier Suggests we were very keen to sign him but he was injured and we believed that injury would take a couple of weeks to heal. Yet he is fit enough to play and even assist in a goal for MK Dons. Is someone not very good at assessing injury or is someone else doing a bit of bluffing? I understand the player needs a job and will have trials with a few teams in the hope of getting that contract but surely if he was fit enough to play for MKD then he was fit enough to be offered a deal with us.
  5. Aileen and I paid but still listed as unpaid.
  6. And it didn't taste any better after you picked it up of the deck?
  7. Today I watched a game of football. Not a particularly exciting one. Indeed quite mediocre. The one thing that was apparant very early on in that game was the lack of Grant Munro. Ball was passed from defence to midfield and on to attack. There was some very good passing within and out of defence. And not once, other than from the keeper, did a ball pass over everyone and into the opposition keepers hands. No panic hoofs up the pitch. That said I was a fan of Grants and, like others, was shocked by his being released. I am, however, something of a realist and know that the days of keeping players forever are gone and that it is always neccessary, when seeking success, to freshen things up in all areas. Grant may be gone but he'll not be forgotten. He will, however, be replacable.
  8. I dont buy a season ticket because of work. I think I managed about 5 home games last season. That said I think the price is excellent. ?300 is less than many of the other SPL teams. It also works out at about ?16 a game if you go to all home games. Thats a lot less than non ST holders pay. Finally, I believe, ST sales are actually up on previous years so many people see it as good value. Jamie, the Man City Gold Seasoncard is ?405 this season. Gold is the cheapest one.
  9. I am hearing on the grapevine that this lad would have been signed to the youths but this was allegedly blocked by a member of the board due to something between said board member and the players agent. IHE has even provided an encrytption above. If this is the case then I can understand the bitterness of the opening poster.
  10. Pretty mediocre game for the forty odd souls who made the journey to West Lothian. Livi were defending an unbeaten run and probably the more hungry for a result. On a plus side though Tom Aldred looks like he could be the new 'machine'. Not all that impressed with Andrew Shinnie but I'll reserve judgement till he's had a few games under his belt. Same goes for Jamie Stevenson. We did manage to stick to a passing game for the full ninety but failed to do anything of note. Even our goal came from a linesmans blunder. Foran was in an offside position and moved towards a through ball. Linesmans flag went up briefly but Richie was still some distance from the ball. Flag then went down but Livi defence had stopped. Jonny comse through and picks up the ball and squares it to a now onside Foran who only had the keeper to beat. Livi players were not amused. Hopefully those players will gel quickly and if so there is the makings of a good team amongst them.
  11. Seems to me, from that quote, that maybe he p!ssed someone off badly and was told where to get off. Wrong attitude or something.
  12. Former ICT player, and now Livingston club captain, Liam yesterday became the proud dad of a daughter Georgie. Congrats to all three.
  13. Think the missus and I might just take a wee drive to the safari park. For those interested only west stand open. Gates 1 and 2 for ICT fans. ?10 and ?5 concession.
  14. Dont think it was Drink Driving. He has been in bother on a few occassions for drink related crimes the last of which was a charge of Drunk and Disorderly in 2008. Being someone who enjoys a drink he'll fit in well in the Heathmount. He's also a bit injury prone but I still think he could do the biz in SPL.
  15. Its actually 3 signings but your point is a good one. Terry said in the courier he expects to announce more signings next week. Hope there good ones. 11 if you count the 8 promoted from the youths. Which begs the question, are any of those good enough to do a Nick Ross and command a starting place?
  16. One day a big bird may sh!t like a dog on this guys head but, and I'm assuming he still has a means of reading this forum, I also made enquiries last year on this subject and found that we are not running a lottery. We are a group of people clubbing together to help our football club. Neither the club nor this site guarantee a prize draw at the end of the season. The club say they will provide a memento in exchange for sponsorship. Whatever that memento turns out to be we choose to draw lots to find it a home. A lottery must guarantee a prize. We guarantee nothing.
  17. I'm in Scotty and so is Aileen. Will pay when I get back of hols next week.
  18. The only time there is a team Scotland in athletics is for the Commonwealth games. No other international competition has a team Scotland so comparrisons there are non existant. FIFA does not like 5 nations from these islands and will find any excuse to argue there should only be 2 so NO TO TEAM GB I say.
  19. What?? From Edinburgh??
  20. Kay you must have made a mistake.......,my names not there. Well done to the winners.
  21. First of, if hearts were going to sack him they should have done so last year when he was charged with the crimes. As far as I'm aware none of the players you list were involved with children. This guy shows no remorse. He says it was a learning curve. Learning curve to what? He preyed on children. He tried to groom them over the internet. He deserves all the abuse he gets.
  22. :clapping:
  23. Thanks for the hard work over the years Kay. Scotty, can I suggest we endeavour to get one of the local youngsters?
  24. There's a charity one in september! Has that one not been arranged to fit in with an International free week or something? We've not heard anything about this over the bridge. Anyone care to explain when this friendly is taking place? Not sure of the date but it was announced a few months ago as part of the Inverness Courier / ARCHIE Foundation ?1m appeal to fund the new childrens ward at Raigmore
  25. Not on the bus because thats illegal.
