Thought this would have been spoken about already....

MFR tweeted today to say he has went for a scan on his ankle, which he injured in training which is likely to do with the artificial pitch.

Hope its not serious. I know we have cover coming back in the likes of Gil, even Odi to the middle and young Nick to the wing, but theres no one like Johnny when he turns up. Especially with the midden our next game, the type of team he would tear a new one...

Certainly was'nt at his best on Saturday,hope he is able to start Sunday at home.

Injuries are bound to happen at this time of year, especially when the ground is slippy, its also about this time that suspensions start kicking in as well but we just have to get on with it.

was inevitable that he would pick up an injury before to long so its maybe best he gets it now rather than in a tight run in... rather not at all but hey ho

It's good that we took a point off the Hertz on Saturday and kept the away run going with virtually 10 men on the field. Jonny Hayes shouldn't have started this one - it was blindingly obvious to almost everyone there that he had a major problem. Why was he not subbed at halftime? It used to be in years gone by that players who's fitness was in doubt had to prove themselves with a test before the start of a game. Does that not happen any more?

We might have done even better on Saturday if we had started with 11 fully fit players.

It's obviously bad news for him to be injured but after getting points from 2x Rangers, Celtic & Hearts.. it's well timed.

Butcher has an excuse to give the likes of Blumenstien & Sanchez their oppertunity so we'll get to see if they've got what it takes at this level.

I guess you weren't at the game.

If you had, you would have seen for yourself that he was a long way short of full fitness - that much was evident right from the start of the match. He may very well have aggravated whatever problem he had since then, or picked up a new injury, but as others have suggested on here and elsewhere, he looked to be very out of sorts and in some discomfort throughout the 80 minutes he played.

Me too. There may have been some underlying issue, but on the whole he performed poorly. He has probably injured his pride after that performance.

Still, overeall, he has been one of the many shining lights throughout the season so far.

Agree with the above, Jonny was less than "at his best" on saturday. If anything, he looked as if the game passed him by until he gave himself a bit of a shake in the last 15 minutes or so. I don't think any of us (including Jonny at times) knows what he's going to do next, but he's worth keeping on the field just in case. He was getting a bit like that in the Hibs game if you remember the pass back, so a wee rest might not be a bad thing right now.

Hearts gave him no room to move and he didn't look comfortable atall. Don't think it was injury related. Just one of them games I suppose. If he is out on Saturday, i'd like to see a re-shuffle with Sanhez coming on. He needs a shot and maybe a rest will do Hayes good.

Think it was a combination of things on Saturday, none of them "injury" related.

He seemed to be well covered every time he got the ball and given next to no space to get moving....which is when he becomes dangerous. Add to that the fact that he was tracking back far more than normal to double up with Duff in an attempt to contain Templeton and you realise that he was never going to "shine" in the manner we've come to expect.

Highland News says he should he fine for Sunday.

I have to admit he wasn't that good on Saturday..maybe he was injured.

He had a bad game, wow. Every player has them now and again where nothing works for them. At least he got it out of the way in a game we drew.

Here's hoping he's fit for saturday because this is a game where we really need Hayes as he could do serious damage to a team like St. Mirren and could be a match winner.
