To me there have been some great supporters at this world cup - the Tartan Army and the Norwegian supporters were the best. The England supporters now have a chance to write 'Came 3rd' or '4th' on the thousands of replica winners trophies they waved at matches. The Golden Boot could go to a French or English player.
With regard to the contentious decisions for most teams in the 2026 Tournament, probably the biggest ever in the history of the world cup was:
''Whether Geoff Hurst's famous "ghost goal" crossed the line in the 1966 World Cup Final remains football's most enduring controversy, but most scientific, frame-by-frame film analyses conclude that the ball did not fully cross the goal line.''

In response to Craig brewsters comments in the Herald that
I am creating another Brewster poll, I apologise for this as there have been many but this poll will serve two purposes.
1 It will let us all know if Brewster's comment is correct.
2 It will give us an idea of whether the win in the cup and the new signings (so far) have swayed opinion in any way.
