Now you're all probably thinking, 'why on earth are we talking about this just now?'...However next season will be our 20th year and I believe the fans should have a say in what the new strip should be like.

The current away shirt was designed after consultation with CJT and from what I've heard the final design was submitted as early as December 2012. This could mean that the club and CJT are already or are about to talk about our new home shirt for next year. So its paramount we get our views in as early as possible!

I created this topic so fans will be able to express what they would like the new shirt to be and so CJT and the club could see the fans views.

Also FC United of Manchester present their members with 4 different shirt designs every couple of seasons. The fans then get to vote for their favourite with the winning shirt being the new home/away shirt. Would the club and CJT be prepared to do this for our special 20th year?

Now, I would normally ask for simple blue and red even and vertical stripes like the 95/96 shirt. NO fancy swooshes or diagonal stripes. NO more blue than red or vice versa, 50% blue and 50% red. However with the current red and black striped away I would be open to an all blue shirt with red/black trim like our 94/95 first strip. Also I would like to see a return to white shorts like we had between 94-97.

  • In light of revealing our new sponsor, a couple of kits I wouldn't mind seeing being made our own. Stupidly simple and in distant hope that Subway were to use their logo minus the slogan, I'de be more

"Eat fresh" or 'feet rash' or whatever it is, will be adorning our kit - after Subway's debut appearance last night!

As much as I'd prefer only the sponsor's name without their slogan tacked-on underneath, It won't put me off getting the new top if I like it.

But I won't be buying it out of blind faith. No stripes, no purchase!

Showing your age Bughtmaster.         You remember "Wotno!"

I thought he was from my younger era, like Biggles.  And Spread Eagle on the BBC Children's hour on the Home Service wireless.

Gosh, at that young age I thought looking at the word Schenectady on the wireless dial meant that I was trying to tune in to a broadcaster in Switzerland.  Now I know it's close to New York, U.S.A.  That was in the era when I used a torch to signal messages in Morse Code from the front bedroom in Dunain Road to my pal in his house opposite on Telford Gardens.

Oops! Off topic. Sorry.

If the additional sponsor was scrapped just so that the shirts could go on sale 4 weeks earlier. How may extra would we have to sell to cover the loss in revenue. 2000 additional shirts maybe.

Ah I forgot about the additional sponsor, I was just thinking about Subway,

Yeah because it takes weeks to print a sponsors logo on a strip !

If we still used screen printed or stick on sponsor logos then you might have a point.

.errea know we gonna put a sponsor on the neck

Said sponsor announced weeks ago

Errea put it on neck of already designed strip

Strip released or at the very least out for preview to get fans appetite up

I see Dundee have released a drawing of their new jersey.  Why can't we do that?

John Hughes should be sacked over this shambles.

Maybe the design is so controversial that releasing it will affect season ticket sales and the powers that be are holding it back. I think it could be yellow and green with pictures of salad vegetables on it.

There'll be a few people pea'd off if it is...

'Cos ?

That's a little gem!

I'm green with envy at all this humour and look forward to the salad days at TCS where tvisiting teams will get a good dressing down

The thyme it has taken is pretty ridiculous but I've seen a leek-ed photo which suggests the top should be a best celery.

When they turnup I'm sure you will think they are the best they have ever bean and the team will be one of the best dressed and some might even say saucy too by the look of some posts...............think I better do a runner now

Is it possible to buy shirts without the sponsors name on the front?

I have no authority on this but I'd say there's no chance.

I can do better than that, I have one of the early prototypes, that don't have any logos, designs or colour. I'm open to offers.
