Ex-ICT players' news

Rather than starting a new thread each time there's a snippet of news regarding a former player, this thread can be used for such info.

In a similar vein to the 'Ex ICT players score' thread.

I see that Dougie Imrie has signed for Hamilton Accies. Has he still 'got it' for the top-flight? He's just endured a depressing season with a very poor Morton side. What I'm really surprised about is that he's only 30 - I always thought he'd come into senior football at a relatively late age, being snapped up from the juniors - he seems to have been around for ever!

Reluctant to wish him too much luck as he's obviously going to be in direct opposition to us next season!

now released by Strathspey. Quote from Esson "Things happen in football. It didn’t work out for the club and for Wallace as we would have hoped. I can’t elaborate on the situation - what happened is between the club and Wallace. We did our best and we move on. We wish Wallace all the best for the future.”

Good article about Ryan Christie in the Sports section of "The Times" today.  He has won possession 154 times this season - more than any other player in the top 5 leagues in Europe (including the EPL).

And today is his 30th birthday.  He recently realised that he is 2 or 3 years older than most of the rest of the Bournemouth squad.  "How the **** did that happen?", he says

Cammy Harper has been included in Carlisle’s starting line up tonight for the game on Sky (channel 403) against Barrow. He’s typically been on the bench for the last few months.

Sadly he’s facing a second successive relegation with Carlisle currently bottom of League 2 and 5 points from safety.

Kick off is at 2000.

He played the full game which Carlisle won to get themselves closer to safety.

I hadn’t realised that Mark Hughes was appointed as their Manager recently.

James Carragher (at Wigan) has been in talks with the Maltese FA and has now been granted citizenship, opening the door for him to get capped by them.

He’s in the starting lineup for Malta in their World Cup qualifier against Finland tonight.

Jordan White diving to win a penalty last night against Livingston. I never had him down as a cheat before, but hey, he is now.

Any defender grabbing shirts in the box should be sacked by their club.

Yeah the perennial relegation dodgers got lucky again, scraping a draw with a soft injury time penalty when Livi had been much the better team.  Alex Samuel got booked for diving, having got away with a previous dive.

If Graeme Shinnie makes his 300th appearance for Aberdeen tomorrow, I hope he gets to lift the cup again. Good luck to him.

Two shite teams competing for a place in a shite league.

Congratulations to Shinniesta

Congratulations to former ICT star Graeme Shinnie! Winning the Scottish cup today for the 2nd time (previously with Inverness).

Has now captained Aberdeen to the cup with a victory over Celtic.
