Rather than starting a new thread each time there's a snippet of news regarding a former player, this thread can be used for such info.

In a similar vein to the 'Ex ICT players score' thread.

I see that Dougie Imrie has signed for Hamilton Accies. Has he still 'got it' for the top-flight? He's just endured a depressing season with a very poor Morton side. What I'm really surprised about is that he's only 30 - I always thought he'd come into senior football at a relatively late age, being snapped up from the juniors - he seems to have been around for ever!

Reluctant to wish him too much luck as he's obviously going to be in direct opposition to us next season!

Great to see and hear Graeme before and after the win in the last few days. A guy who overcame adversity to succeed. Lovely pictures of his daughters in the celebration group photos. Not forgetting this was a great day for Scottish football - Celtic greeting because some other club won one of their trophies!!

Ryan Christie voted Supporters' Player of the Year.

The 30-year-old attacking midfielder was named Supporters’ Player of the Year at the club on the final day of the English Premiership season.

Christie, who has been with the Cherries for four years since signing in 2021, played 33 matches for Bournemouth this season and helped them reach ninth place in the English Premiership.

The club released a statement on why Christie received the award saying: “A heartbeat in the Cherries’ midfield, Ryan Christie was a model of consistency, determination and quality across the campaign.

Never liked Aberdeen but delighted for Graeme Shinnie lifting the trophy again as he was a great player for us.

Happy on both fronts. Great when someone other than the twins win something and whilst I had no soft spot for Aberdeen when I went to university there, nor when we played them in cup games, I softened on them in 2004 when they helped us out with a groundshare, getting us into the SPL. Also lots of player history between the clubs, and the recent loaning of players to us under administration may well have helped keep us in L1.

Delighted for Shinnie as well. 300th appearance, lifting the cup twice in 10 years with two different clubs, great stuff.

Jack Kingdon, Sam Murray and James Nolan are all set to leave Manchester United at the end of the season. The trio are all out of contract this summer and will depart on frees after not being offered new terms.

Noticed also that Connah’s Quay have just signed Jason Oswell from Newtown. They’ll be hoping he scores more for them than young Ferguson did!

Oswell (32) has had a decent career as a striker in the Welsh leagues and English non-leagues since his brief spell (2 appearances) with us in 2012/13.

The Sun is reporting that Ryan Christie recently boosted his property portfolio with another 6 flats in Glasgow for £1.2m. Sensible lad.

He’s got a 4 year contract at Bournemouth at £2.6m p.a. So just pocket money 😅

Sean Welsh has joined Spartans, Morgan Boyes has joined St Johnstone, Jack Newman has joined Peterhead, Cammy Kerr has joined Livingston, Billy King has joined Bonnyrigg and Nat Wedderburn has joined Cowdenbeath.
