Who will join us in the Championship

dsBuffer.bmp.pngOK, the play-offs get serious from now on at both ends of the table. So who will be joining us next season in the Championship.

QF1: Pars 0-0 Raith

QF2: Raith 2v0 Pars - Raith now face Dundee home & Away

1st Leg: Montrose 2v1 Morton (2nd leg Morton 3-1 Montrose 11th May)

1st Leg: Cove 1v1 Airdrie (2nd leg Airdrie 2-1 11th May)

The Scottish Championship, League 1 and League 2 play-off finals have been rescheduled to allow fans to attend.

The Scottish government is expected to confirm that crowds of up to 500 will be permitted without prior permission from 17 May.

The Championship final will now be on 18 and 21 May, with the League 1 showpiece on 17 and 20 May, and the League 2 final on 18 and 23 May.

All four League 1 and Championship games will be shown live on BBC Alba.

The Premiership final on 20 and 24 May should also be able to welcome fans.

Furthermore, the football authorities can propose accommodating more than 500 spectators at any given fixture.

The government would then decide whether or not to grant any request.

Two of Greenock Morton or Airdrieonians, Cove Rangers and Montrose will appear in the Championship showpiece.

The Premiership final will involve two of Ross County, Kilmarnock, Hamilton (relegated), Dundee, Raith Rovers and Dunfermline Athletic.

Really dont care TBH. We will do the lot of them next season 😆

Hope to hell it's not Cove, they can gtf with their Ross County way.

What I would like is,

Ayr: Off the top of my head they never seem to get much from us. Don't think we have lost to them since we got relegated.

Raith & Dunfermline: Less cash than Dundee & C**nty. Both beatable.

Hamilton: About time they got relegated.

In all honesty, if Cove come up I fear they'll be a new Gretna and end up putting 100 years down the pan after they overspend what money they have

Raith have beaten Dunfermline in the play offs, so we will face Dunfermline again next season.

Cove only drew with Airdrie so they will not make the play off final unless they win away in the second leg. Credit Montrose for beating Morton, but the second leg could change that too as it is at the Cappielow bog.

Montrose would be my preference and an Away Day we aint had fer years. From my travel perspective I would rather go to Brora than Cove. I hope Hamilton stay up as I feckin hate the place. Airdrie is another jaunt that we aint done in ages and a tidy wee ground.

ahh yes, before I moved over here permanently, I remember getting the redeye flight back from Canada, picked up at Glasgow Airport by ITN, witnessing a 5-0 thrashing, then up the road - luggage and all - on the supporters bus! Those were the days

Things are slightly closer to taking shape after tonight’s games.

Hamilton are effectively relegated given their goal difference is 18 worse than Killie.

The play off place will be either County or Killie. Killie need to beat Hamilton at the weekend and hope County lose to Motherwell or they will finish 11th and County will survive.

Dundee beat Raith 3-0 in Kirkcaldy so are in pole position to make the play off final.

With Dundee stumbling over the line against Raith Rovers, it's now a straight fight between Killie and Ross County to see who joins them in the Premiership play-off.

We will all know before you tuck in to your Sunday roast as today's games kick off at 12:00.

Motherwell v Ross County - 36 points - Goal difference -32 the worst in the Premiership

Hamilton v Kilmarnock - 33 points - Goal Difference -13

Early leads for Killie and Motherwell 💪

Vigurs booked 1st minute.

FT: Accies 0-2 Killie

FT: Motherwell 1-2 County

Dundee or Killie it is then.

Shame we have lost the prospect of Highland derbies. Four wins against County next season would have been enjoyable.

To add insult to injury, Vigurs was on the scoresheet.

I'm hoping it's Kilmarnock and Airdrie next season.

Be good and refreshing to face 4 different teams next season.

Wouldn't fear anybody really, especially if we have a real number 9. 🤠

Job done by Yogi. When will the announcement be for thanking him for his services and wishing him all the best in the future ?!🐻

Dundee beat Kilmarnock 2-1 in the first leg of the play off final, but it sounds like they were by far the better team so they may rue not getting a more convincing win.

We will know on Monday who we will be facing next season as the second leg is then, whilst Morton play Airdrie in their second leg tomorrow.
