  2. Elgin 3-1 Arab B

  3. P'Head 3-0 Arab B

  4. Spartan 1-0 Arab B

  5. Cove 5-1 Arab B

This was their last squad at Cove Rangers. It didn't go too well for them. However, the opportunity to proceed in the competition is still there.

After the Group stages, we lose the bottom eight teams and replace them with the teams from the Championship to give us a straight knock-out from thirty-two teams.

Here's the bottom eight teams ahead of the last group fixtures. Note that they are all Premiership B sides. Celtic B (20th) & Hibs B (22nd) are just above the elimination places on 6 & 4 points respectively with the Binos sandwiched in-between them.

I got excited there when I seen you wrote November 11th at 1pm. Literally 5 mins away from the draw. Unfortunately I think it’s the 13th at 1.

LoL. I originally saw it as 11th November. Then I thought they must just be telling us who the teams play by their standings in the table. Nahhh, too complicated by half. I see it's amended to 13th.

Cheers

Hate to admit it but I’ve actually enjoyed our games in this. It’s been good to see the fringe players getting game time along with some of our Academy Graduates.

Hopefully tonight we go not only for the win but we score enough goals to secure first place.

I have also enjoyed these games although will not manage tonight. I was not keen at the start but it has helped our fringe players get game time and push for a start in the first team.

Agree! and it's also good to see us score more than 1 goal!

7' | 1-0 GOAL! We're ahead through Chanka Zimba! He's played through by a great ball from Adam Mackinnon and finds the back of the net.

13' | 1-0 Jordan Alonge sees his effort go just past the post.

19' | 2-0 GOAL! Chanka Zimba has his second! The Striker finishes Jordan Alonge's low ball into the box!

29' | 2-0 Bar! Alfie Bavidge races through on goal but his effort comes off the bar. The follow-up from Chanka Zimba is saved!

30' | 2-0 Bar again! This time Adam Mackinnon sees his shot come off the bar and Chanka Zimba can't force in the rebound.

44' | 3-0 GOAL! Chanka Zimba gets his hat-trick! He is played through on goal by Jordan Alonge and makes no mistake in front of goal!

Second half

50' | 4-0 GOAL! Alfie Bavidge makes it 4-0 with a great finish!

52' | 5-0 GOAL! Jordan Alonge makes it 5-0 with a good finish inside the box!

67' I 5-0 Attempt saved! Alfie Bavidge's left footed shot from the centre of the box is saved.

89' I 6-0 Ross denied Hutchison before the end but alas for the youngsters, Bavidge got his brace to make it six with an assist from Kerr.

Good experience for the young players, James Clark, Sam Thompson, Archie Kerr and Kenzie Harkness.

Not such a good experience for most of the Premier league teams. You really have to wonder if these humpings they get ( mostly) will the players get any bebefit?

For the celtic & rangers B teams it's great preparation for European humpings.

BBC says 88% possession amazed

25 shots, 13 on target - so that's an improvement!

Remember we used to have Gregor to work out the stats, I wonder where he is now shrug

I enjoyed that.

A dominant performance and we should have been more than 3 up at half time, missing a couple of sitters and rattling the woodwork twice.

By half time the ball was starting to stick badly on the stand side and that got worse as the second half progressed, making the conditions and play farcical at times. If it had been a league game I’m sure it would have been abandoned.

The players stuck to the task though and got the scoreline up to 6, along with the woodwork being rattled again.

Good game time for the likes of Alonge, plus the youngsters who came on in the second half.

I’ve enjoyed the games in this competition but really wish it was Highland League teams we were playing rather than B teams.

Elgin or Annan in the last 32. Home or away still to be decided also.

The draw has been put on hold for bit due to a couple of postponed games last night.

If Dumbarton lose by 2-3 goals we could potentially have them as well. Elgin would then leapfrog them into 10th place.

Six well taken goals : hopefully this might pull through to the league where, although we are dominating most matches, we are usually just squeaking through by the odd goal.........

Looking forward to going to Alloa on the 25th.
