ICT Squad 2026/27

Seeing as the season is now officially over and we have been crowned League 1 winners, I will post this now so that you guys can let me know who's under contract for next season.

It can also be used to post the list of retained and released players once that has been announced 👍.

Finally, it can also be used for transfer rumours and signings. On that I'll start with one from Everything Caley's Instagram who seem to suggest we are after Ruth's Dylan Smith. I also see on Twitter from The Scarf that Alfie Bavidge is signing permanently 😱👍.

This off-season I certainly trust Kells, Charlie, and Alan Savage far more than previous incumbents to make the best and most affordable choices for ICT. If they can put together a squad that finishe

He could still do a decent job for us in the Championship…

  • He allegedly made a naughty remark that was seen as a bad idea. He got sent off and never played for a rake of games thereafter. Possibly internal suspension. Don't think he attended the pride March

Next week according to Charlie Christie on MFR news about 5pm and 6pm 😉.

Latest one doing the rounds now is Dom Thomas from Airdrie by Scott Burns.

Just seen Millen has signed for Raith, seems an odd as I didn't feel he was overly convincing for us in League One

His father is Assistant Manager there.

I wasn’t a fan of Millen as an individual. I felt however in his favour he brought a fierceness and intensity onto the pitch. He was always driving forward when he had the ball. He had more better than poor crosses into the box IMO.

The somewhat negative comments from some (fair few) fans may have influenced the decision (Christie’s or Millen) to go different ways. So he wont need much motivation when we meet up with Raith next season.

Just feel loosing that hard edge attitude in a player is something we might be found wanting in the Championship season coming.

Millen was brought in as Vice Captain, but he never really got going, with him being injured almost as soon as he joined us and then the extended absence after the incident at Montrose.

He was at Raith previously and there’s a cryptic comment on Wikipedia about him training on his own after an “internal matter” and they were effectively letting his contract run down.

It looks like there’s been a reconciliation with Raith now they have a different management team.

I think he didn't get on with or called out the manager at the time (Murray I think). What was the Montrose incident? I can only remember him being out for like the first half of the season injured. I didn't think he was necessarily a bad player, but just wasn't the right fit for the system, with us not playing proper wingers we needed fullback ready to overlap

Don't think he attended the pride March in Inverness yesterday...

Rather have Calum than Ross at right back.

Absolutely, I thought he caused confusion in the defence by shouting orders leading to goals against. Never liked him.

Passed the stadium just now! Hell of a lot of cars there! More cars than signed players i would think.

Anyway i hope it's a sign of imminent signings?

As we eagerly await news of signings and re-signings it looks like the Club have actually updated the First Team on their website except that they still include Ben Gardiner.

Chippies, plasterers, sparkies and painters/decorators me thinks.

(Maybe a better chance of a good player in that lot than third or fourth team Celtic players being offered and assessed).

Daniel Mackay in the P&J dropping big hints about his availability for ICT, should we be interested.

Might be a decent shout if he can stay injury-free.

Press Release from Club:

Liam Sole returns to ICTFC

Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC are delighted to announce the pre-contract signing of Liam Sole on a one-year deal, subject to SFA clearance. Liam will join the club upon the expiry of his contract with Livingston FC.

Liam, 26, joins the club on a permanent basis following a successful loan spell last season, during which he made 43 appearances and scored six goals on the way to securing the William Hill League One title.

Upon signing, Liam said: “I really loved my time at the club last season and I’m delighted to now sign a permanent deal.

"I’m looking forward to coming back, getting stuck in for the new Championship campaign, and I can’t wait to see all the fans again.”
