Who should replace Charlie Christie?

I think this should have its own thread...

Stephen Kenny at Dunfermline would be my first choice.. but I wouldn't be adverse to seeing Brewster back again.....

Kenny would be a good option but we couldn't afford him

No to Brewster & Robbo  :020:

This is going to be REALLY interesting. Will the Board go for another puppet on a string character or will they actually approach experienced, strong minded individuals who will not take being told what to feckin do.

John Robertson. A man respected in the game, with a high enough profile to attract players to the North. With the technical expertise which got us promoted and stabilised us in our first SPL season.

Robbo left us to manage Hearts. For him this was impossible to refuse - he did not let our club down in any way.

Re-appointed he would be here for the long haul.

They were asked in May so it could be a Brewster / Shearer partnership. Given the happenings of the last 18 months I would feckin grab them. This club needs sorting out and quick.

Robertson with Parkie at his side would be good news.

Owen Coyle - did a good last season; is young and ambitious, has a good knowledge and good contacts of Scottish football

Steve Kenny - made a big difference to the Pars and got them to Scottish cup final

Neil Warnock - has managed at a high level and is apparently interested in managing in Scotland

Jimmy Nicholl - is it not time for him to leave tango man and again become a manager in his own right.

Are you not forgetting Livi And Ross County?

I think Robbo did little wrong at Livingston or Ross County - but his position was made untenable by the financial situation and false promises made at both clubs.

He couldn't even get Saint Johnstone past a diabolical Gretna team who seemed intent on throwing away the title last season.

No he didn't. He got them relegated and looks like he is trying to take them down to SFL2.

Sorry but those are just names for the sake of it with people not looking beyond who they are.

Not robbo or brewster please. I don't think Park will hang about either.

Totally agree. Neither's record since leaving ICT warrant a second chance

Just want to add not Pele either. If Savage is so ambitious we should be aiming higher than these names. Warnock seems like a good choice!

Why do people rate Kenny? He took over the Pars just a few months into the season, didn't win a game for ages, had a late run of form....and everyone raved about him.

Fact is, he took Dunfermline down, and he;s now struggling at the foot of the first.

Not sure who I want as manager mind.... :024:

I would take robbo back.

Has anyone seeing if theres any odds at the bookies yet ive tried the internet but nothing so far?

The only capacity i would like to see brewster return in is as a fitness coach

It must be an experienced Manager, 1st div football is not worth the risk

I would be happy to see:

Craig Brown

Maurice Malpas

Ian McCall

Terry Butcher

I would take robbo back.

:frustrated01:

Why would you have Robbo back? What exactly has he done since leaving that makes him the stand out candidate? Ditto for Brewster

Malpas had his chance for the job last time around and didn't take it.  He didn't do much at 'well.

I would be happy to see:

Craig Brown

Maurice Malpas

Ian McCall

Terry Butcher

Just add Colin Hendry, Richard Gough and Blobby Williamson and it's the same bloody list as the previous 2 times  :023:

No to all of the above

I would be happy to see:

Craig Brown

Maurice Malpas

Ian McCall

Terry Butcher

Only Terry Butcher from that list thanx

i do think we need to be looking at someone with the hunger for the job again, not a failure from elsewhere, not a malpas, brown or macall. Maybe ferguson fancies a move back north  :tic01:

Rowan Alexender - now you're talking IHE.  I'm sure this will be RIG's informed choice  :016:
