  1. I think what draws people to see ICT is the fact that we are a very new club in the grand scheme of things and we have done so well in such a short period or time. I now live in yorkshire and every football fan i speak to knows about inverness caley thistle and thier rise through the leagues and the famous cup win against celtic. We are a friendly club with a terrific fan base and have captured the hearts of many football fans with the achievments the club has managed. Plus, all the players enjoy playing for the club, manager and the fans, and it shows on the pitch.

Pardon me because I am not very well up on popular culture but it would appear that some fellow whom not very many people seem to recognise claims to have been assailed by ICT fans in Glasgow. Given his anonymity, he appears to be accusing ICT of totally random attacks. Is this chap a pop singer, a disc jockey, a participant in one of these strange singing or dancing competitions on the TV where people phone in to vote... or is he on one of these bizarre TV shows where you have to eat obscure insectiverous creatures in order to survive? Or is he just a completely inadequate attention seeking t**t who thinks he hasn't had enough publicity of late?
  3. Pele would hav done it but they couldn't trace his favourite movie "vodka galore" Sorry robby but thats not remotely funny. Here's hoping you go through your whole life never having to experience the pain of alcoholism and how it can affect, not only the alcoholic but those around them. you are absolutely correct. i apologise if i offended anyone. a moment of madness and a throwaway line i couldn't resist. i have seen alcoholism at closer range than a lot of people, so all i can say in mitigation is that some people deal with it the best they can. again, if anyone was offended, please accept my apology.
  4. There is NO WAY i would go up to a complete stranger in Inverness and start discussing ICT, i have experienced at first hand unpleasantness and animosity towards myself and ICT whilst out drinking in the city Fair enough if you are in the Caley Thistle club surrounded by fellow ICT fans well that maybe the case but you are wrong to say that everyone is willing to discuss ICT and make you welcome Even on this forum i've not really been made particularly welcome by some, i've even been targeted by a red dot campaign which has caused me a lot of heartache dougal Dougal, I think you have been made very welcome on this site and many of us have a good laugh at your posts. I am sure that is your intention, so, well done! It is really quite an acheivement to be averaging more than 1 red dot per post. And I don't think there is any targeted campaign to give you red dots, it is just a reflection of the general stupidity and offensiveness of your posts. If you speak with people in pubs the way you communicate on this forum then I'm not surprised you find some animosity. It's not a reflection of Inverness or ICT - it's just personal. I've quite enjoyed your drivel today and haven't given you a red dot but then I don't sit in section G and I'm not Ginger. Keep the posts coming - with no football on we need something to amuse us.
  5. I bet when DS is interviewed, he says he's off to join the Edinburgh FF for more money.

Though long and hard about replying to this statement but thought better of it This thread should be closed as its nothing but speculation One thing i will say though is that all clubs have a minority of imbeciles who spoil it for everyone else, i'm not saying for one minute that this incident happened but Section G have a history of being involved in unsavoury incidents dougal Sorry if this is a bit . Pardon my ignorance but as someone who has only been frequenting TCS (and sitting in Section F) for a couple of seasons, what specifically are you referring to?
  7. TB is just being the consummate professional as usual. Of course he is entitled to consider any job that is on offer - although I doubt it, it could be a career boosting move with "promises" to boot - plus although many of us may disagree - the way he is acting is actually respectful to Aberdeen. And he simply has to be on the shortlist for most available clubs in Britain at the moment - but he has work to finish at ICT.
  8. He'd regret walking away from his biggest success story into the mire. But he'd still do it if he got the chance. Too big a job to turn down and all that. The comments above are those of a man that's keeping his options open. I don't see what the rush is. the aberdeen job will come up again in another 18 months. by which time we'll be the "third force in scottish football" and terry and mo can pick any job they want.
  9. I'd like to think that TB will remain at ICT until the time arrives when he feels he cannot take the club any further forward. Hopefully that time is still a long way off.... Good article here in the P&J which Caley Stan will no doubt interpret as further proof that TB is "keeping his options open"..! See here...

  12. Yup, two points here. * If it exists, the SPL will have a rule for it - which goes back to the days when the SPL still had delusions that they were really big fish. That is the third certainty of life following Death and Taxes - whatever it is, the SPL will have a rule for it. One of these rules is that all clubs must have USH. Along with the 10,000 seat rule (which ICT put paid to but which seems SO pretentiously absurd in the current day and age but which excluded likes of Falkirk to the benefit of Aberdeen) you could also keep the riff raff out by requiring USH. * A Catch 22 has materialised regarding USH to the extent that when it becomes necessary to use it, conditions will in any case be extreme enough for the game to be put off by forces outwith the clubs who have the USH - ie by the Police or the SPL... who will, by yet another of their rules, fine you heftily if they don't put the game off but your pitch in unplayable because you haven't used your USH.
  13. We should offer ritual executions of the stars of 'The Only Way is Essex' at half time.
  14. I'm a man that does!! Shinnie has done very well, but a fit gillet has got to be first choise left back... he certainly has more pace than shinnie, and a lot more experience. But i well happy that we have a fine young player waiting to fit the space.

He's flattering himself if he thinks anyone there at Celtic Park would recognise him.....
  16. Some Scottish footballing nobody (Jim Paterson) is on a 2 page spread today in The Sun championing Butch for the Aberdeen job saying it HAS to be him. Aye no worries Jim.
  17. I've been giving that lecture on here for years

on the plus side its sure to give section G some good fodder for some chants and songs. like the bit about chucking bottles at him on the train...unless someone was sat right next to him they would have to be EXTREMELY good to get the aim right to drop in on his seat...and also to break his dads hand well thats really impressive btw who goes to a nightclub with there dad?????????????? @rse facebook group created..... if you hate mark wright clap your hands
  19. Who are the best and worst players you have played alongside in a Caley Thistle team. You spent some time at Victoria Park in Dingwall, show us on the puppet where they touched you.
  20. Kids and grown ups love it so, the happy world of Haribo.....which one is your favourite?

If it sounds like bulls**t and looks like bulls**t, then it's probably bulls**t. Never heard of him in my life but he sounds like a total be**end!
  22. Good shouts, have added in Mannone and Hunt. I'm not adding John Stewart or Tam McManus as they are both rubbish players.

Your words not mine. It's hardly rocket science!!!! I'm not saying thousands would necessary join up to P&B but that site certainly seems more welcoming than CTO P&B and all other SPL clubs forums gives the lurker the option to read on while CTO doesn't unless they register which IMO puts the majority off It certainly doesn't help enticing new fans dougal So now you are not saying thousands, perhaps your hyperbole was lost on me. P&B is more welcoming than CTO? Personally I think if you are going to be getting worked up about ICT websites you are focussing on the wrong one.
  24. If he had to make love to one animal which would it be? (Lady animal obviously)
  25. yay drunk fans! hmmm maybe drop off to pubs after, we're a family club remember! i think some landlords might end up just giving tickets to mates or using them themselves. give out to schools, the college & employers who advertise home games in their staff area.
  26. Isn't that what Paterson said when he signed a new five year deal.............and then went to Aberdeen about a week later?
  27. I think big Dunc is a good choice, he will fit in really well with the locals who in my experience all appear to be fellow gingers dougal

    Aw, isn't it cute.
  29. No, he left ICT for Utd. and negotiated a handsome pay off for us too apparently. Yes he did and you should always remember the loyalty involved with that!
  30. With the 3 stooges booted from Aberdeen, i keep on hearing butchers name being mentioned with the job. normally i wouldn't take notice but it seems as if whenever one of the "bigger clubs" needs a manager, they always seem to take from ICT. I think butcher needs to make his intentions known and go public and either say "i'm interested" or "Where are the dons in the table? Where Are ICT?? I'm Staying With Caley!" As i said, i dont think he will go as he's built a great team here and if we continue our form he will have the money to do what he wants here anyway.
