  1. I really hope it isnt Proctor. I dont want him anywhere near the defence not when we are finally getting it together. If Tokely is fit the put him back in. If not then maybe try Meekings at CB or put Piermayr there and Meekings at right back, if all else fails play Foran at CB, but i really dont want Proctor back in the team at all.

  2. Slow motion of video taken by Andycam clearly shows that Kenny got the ball, not the man. So, who made the decision at the Appeal? Who viewed the video carefully? North/South bias ? or what..... For my sins I do hope that C..nty make it to the SPL (as long as we are still there and are always higher than them in any table) then those namby-pambies in the Central Belt have to travel SO far north twice as often. Ooh the shame - hope it snows much more than it has recently - oh the poor souls, my heart bleeds - not.

  3. I know we all want Johnny Hayes to stay with us, he is a good and clever player. and has been a Godsend to us. A move eventually yes to a good strong club but not the O.F. Most of the time all they want to do is buy any threats from other teams to reduce opposition quality, they don't care about the actual player. Personally I think he is too shrewd to fall for the Celtic trap and will stay with us a while yet.

  5. I actually feel that giving Rangers and Celtic the West Stand and part of the Main Stand was a mistake. Now people will say that the club will get more money, but I don't care, ICT ain't going to go bust because of it. It used to be that the OF fans were off at the other end, but now that they're in the West Stand as well, they aren't far from the North Stand at all, particularly those that sit over towards the right of it and I thought the atmosphere was far more tense because of it. Lets take Rangers out of the equation here - the only team that ever seems to contribute any crime/arrests/problems/damage at the Caley Stadium is Celtic. Now, anyone who's ever been to Celtic Park will tell you and I've had fans of other clubs tell me that this isn't unique to us, the atmosphere there is dreadful. At Ibrox and essentially other stadium in the country the home fans either sit and watch the game, or if you do get any grief, it's from 14 year old neds. Not at Parkhead. Forget what some people say about it only being "small pockets" or "minorities" of troublemakers, no, a good chunk of the Celtic home crowd are nothing but scum. The last time I was there I witnessed adults with kids shouting at the ICT fans really for no reason at all! I even saw one bloke sitting with his son who must have been no older than eight or nine. The Green Brigade did some stupid banner/camp looking card presentation and this idiot shouts in-front of his son at the small section of ICT fans - "Look! That's how you do it! That's how you do it!" His son will almost certainly grow up to be no different from him, ie - a moron. These people are idiots. Absolute idiots. We should try and keep the amount we let in the Caley Stadium at an absolute minimum and weed out the one who try and infect the home end, if not they'll be more trouble at games as time goes on, and knowing Celtic, it'll be "our fault".

  6. Absolutely no effing way will I give up my seat in the North stand for that scum. Apart form the fact I don't like the main stand because it is exposed to the excesses of the weather, as a point of principle we should not be giving up any more of our stadium to allow more of the dark forces of evil to come up here and misbehave. What is the point in televising it if not to allow most of their fans to watch it in their own pubs and armchairs? Sky mostly only televises matches involving the Old Scum and that's why I don't have Sky. We have already had the start of the slippery slope and it was intimidating enough having that shower in the "West" stand the last time they were up here. We don't wish to be completely hemmed in. If the club gives in then first of all I will not pay to watch the game and secondly I shall demand a refund on my season ticket.

  7. I always felt Rooney was a bit lazy at times. He certainly knew where the net was, but for me Tade is better all round player.

  8. Not only is he a star on the park, but he appears to be a lovely person after hearing his interview on Alba . I hope we can hold on to him for a while. Keep up the good work Gregory and get us past Dunfermline on Wed.

  9. Steve Williams quotes: "They all look sharp on the ball and the togetherness in the team is unreal". "Before they go out they get in a huddle in the changing room and you can really feel a connection in the team". I wasn't aware that they did that. Is this something they've done for a while or did Captain Hayes introduce it?

  10. Our Gregory's already the fans favourite. Running to the North Stand at ICT at the end of a home game to meet the younger fans, and coming to the away stand at Motherwell to acknowledge the fans there - only goes to win over the fans even more and he is already a winner. We have been singing his name since he came here, so, it can only get better. That goal on Saturday was a peach! (Pity it was at the away end from us!). Our Gregory runs and runs, never gives up, and that's what we want for an ICT player. Bring it on, Gregory.

  11. I wouldn't let him anywhere near a pen! Far too much time to think. Here's hoping Wed's game doesn't go to a shoot out...

  12. Well said, Johndo. The away crowd, were singing (not always in unison) but singing nevertheless. The atmosphere at our end was great - maybe it was because we were in the stand behind the goals and not in the "tractor style" seats?! Onwards and upwards! Here's to all the brave souls who will join me on the trip south on Wednesday to continue the "vibe". Surely the old "Jebi Dabi" song now fits our own Gregory Tade much better and the chants of Golabart, Golabart, were top class. Many thanks, one and all.

  13. ESSON  Looked nervous and appeared more intent on punching and kicking but - hey ho - a feckin clean sheet as the end result. JULIE ANDREWS  Solid enuff without being noticed. Evidently his call was to defend and stay. GILLET   As a past "libero" I could not fail but be impressed by his performance. He has the pace and the brain to play in that position but I was surprised by his ability in the air - he really has a basketball player bounce. my MOM PAELLA PIE EATER   Has the potential to be a wee cult hero - first to salute the awat end at the final whissel. He is still raw and makes mistakes but he will do fer this season. G SHINNIE  Basiscally a Julie McAndrews. JOHNNY HAYES  That must have been a weighted feckin captains band. Doesnt he feckin annoy you. He has so much potential but he was cocky and out of sots yesterday - but has to be started as he is our main quality player. OOX   He is almost 100% fit and back to the Russell Duncan influence. TANSEY  Flitted in and out of the game - needs a good game and a goal as his self confidence looks as if it is on the wane. ROSS  Was it just me or has Nicky lost a bit of his sparkle - one of my fave players and future cap prospect but is he falling out of love with ICT ? TADE   Where the feck was he supposed to be playing in the first half - sure I saw him going to the feckin toilets and the snack bar at some stage but - probably in front of Terry and Mo in the second hald he was shackled to the left midfield role - and feck me did he do well - Juanjoesque turn fer the goal - Blobby Mann shot - aint going to call him Djebi Tade no more - although Gillet tade will never be a Carribean dance troupe !! MCKAY   Had me doubts abot this wee man but that was a Dargoesque in nature - he filled the boots of a real target man but what would he be like plying beside one ?? As fer Steve Wiliams - the chant of "he's just a sad **** from Chorley" was bang out of order.

  14. That competitions no fair.......its anti central belter.........discriminating against those who choose to widen their horizons by experiencing the big wide world outside Sneck. Us who dont live there are treated worse than Dingwall folk. Think I need to see my lawer about this. Its centrabeltacist.

  16. Telford Street realised £1M and Kingsmills Park £486K. The net value of the assets was £1.225M after various expenses (including considerable legal expenses for both Thistle and Caley) and possibly tax on the Caley deal. The total bill for the Stadium, completed in 1996, was £4.844M. The balance was made up of £511K from INE, £373K from the EU Objective 1 fund, bank borrowings of £928K, Roads and Transport grant of £87K, a Football Trust grant of £619K, a Football Trust loan of £200K and the much discussed Inverness Common Good Fund grant of £900K. That was what made the CGF Grant so vital in the whole equation. Massive economies and short cuts had already had to be be made to keep the cost down to £4.844M and they were still around £1M short. Without the CGF grant, the whole thing could well have foundered. One major reason for it being so expensive was that the planners insisted on a road which cost £1.3M. There was also an insistence that the finish of the building wasn't just cheap and nasty blocks as well as a lengthy list of other planning requirements - right down to "16 cycle racks (Sheffield Style)" As a result, anything more elaborate than what appeared was out of the question. It's really important to understand how marginal the construction of the necessary stadium was in financial terms, but it was an integral part of the deal for Inverness to get intothe SFL. On the other hand, what did materialise was relatively easily upgraded to 6000 seats when the opportunity of SPL football came along - which at the planning stage in 1994 probably wasn't even foreseen by Dougie McGilvray. As for the gas pipeline, yes that was known about but really the problems related to going to so many other sites were so huge that it was regarded as relatively minor at the time. Finding a site was also a major issue. And the gas pipeline remains a minor issue, given that building a fourth stand remains inconceivable for the foreseeable future. I do appreciate the danger of a tide of protest there may be at me appearing to plug my own book, but Against All Odds is free on this site and the whole tale is told there in detail!
