Considering there's been a lot of whinging about how we haven't adequately replaced Adam Rooney, and how we don't have an adequate goal threat, and that Tade isn't a 'natural goalscorer' (whatever the hell that means), I thought it might be interesting to compare Rooney from last season against Tade from this season: Rooney in 2010/11 All competitions: 21 goals in 42 games (41 starts, 1 as sub) SPL: 15 goals in 38 games (37 starts, 1 as sub) Tade in 2011/12 All competitions: 6 goals in 15 games (13 starts, 2 as sub) SPL: 6 goals in 14 games (13 starts, 1 as sub) Note that Rooney's goals included 7 penalties, 5 of which were in the league. So he only scored 10 goals from open play in the SPL last season. Tade is, in fact, only 4 goals away from equalling Rooney's total in open play for the whole of last season in the SPL!1 point

TB told sky he asked Foran to wind up Hayes to get him going - I suppose yes I do agree with this kinda motivation - maybe Jonny was showing off because Neil Lennon was in the stand ! Lennon probably thinkin ``thats my kinda guy`` !!1 point

Just wanted to note a couple of things in here ..... The match is LIVE on SKY. This is the only legitimate link to live video that can be posted in this (or any other) thread. Please do not publicly post links for dodgy or illegal feeds, they will be removed .... Secondly, I wanted to highlight that we have modified our Player of the Year thread slightly for this match, and will also do so from this match onwards. This is based on feedback received over a fairly long period of time ....... the main points are noted below .... Main Poll (the voting bit) ... Votes should still be cast only by those who were at the game. The vote is still public so anyone can see how you voted. We have added an option to give the ref a score too. For now, this is just a bit of fun but we may instigate a league table for refs in the future. We also ask you to confirm you were at the game. We had to have two options to this question so one is yes (obviously), the other is basically "no, ban me from polls" ... if you vote no, then we will grant your request ! For those not at the game, but who watched it on TV or listened on live radio, we have decided you can cast your votes by POSTING in the thread rather than voting in the poll ... just follow the instructions in the relevant POY thread. Whilst posting your ratings rather than voting may allow you to participate in the thread, and may add to discussions, they will not be counted in the official total used to decide our POY as we feel only those present at a game get the full view of all its nuances and we will not be changing the overall rules we have had in place for many years.1 point

For some reason I actually want to like McGhee .... perhaps it was something about his playing style, I don't know ... however, I just cannot do it. With the exception of some moderate success at Motherwell, taking them from 3rd bottom one season to 3rd in the table the following one, his managerial career has been peppered with relegation dogfights, walkouts to go to other jobs, and 'bottle-crashing' endings to several seasons that saw a potentially good season end without promotion or playoff places .... Lets just say that I would not want him anywhere near our club and leave it at that !!!1 point

Just imagine if they had played together...... Tade to chase the lost causes & Rooney to finish the hard work :love02:1 point

no comparison needed ......... both have scored some impressive and important goals for us and both deserve the collective ICT1 point
