In your opinion, what has been Lee Cox's best game in a Caley shirt? I can't think of a particular game off the top of my head, but I do remember him being an integral part of the side that went on to win the First Division at the first time of asking (the first time it had been done in about ten years). What must be remembered here is that when he came he was a straight replacement a similar player in Ian Black who signed for Hearts and had been an extremely important and prominent player for the club for about four or five seasons - Cox more than filled the void that was left. Since joining ICT in 2009, Lee has made 60 appearances for Caley, scoring 3 goals. Out of the 3 goals, do any of them stand out as a favourite? Probably his ninetieth minute winner in the first game of the 2009/10 season away to Dunfermline Athletic. That was also his league debut for ICT. What type of player is Lee? A battling central midfielder who isn't afraid to get stuck in and can play the ball well. He can also play as a right full back though this is not his main position. What are your thoughts on Lee's current ability, any room for improvement? He has ability and is at an age where he can only improve, so really just improve on what he already has. He has potential though, that's for sure. Paolo Di Canio has been known to get the best out of the Swindon players- most notably Simon Ferry, Matt Ritchie, Paul Caddis and Aden Flint. Do you consider Lee to have any strengths or weaknesses, and do you think Paolo could improve his game? I think as I said previously, just continue on the road he is taking. He has potential and many capabilities that make him a good central midfielder and just needs to keep working on the attributes he already has in order to become the best player he can be. The one weakness he maybe has it that at times he does seem rather injury-prone. Just how much will Caley miss Lee? There has certainly been mixed reactions after Inverness supporters finding out an offer had been accepted. I think you have to remember that £25,000 is a lot of money to a club like ICT - particularly when that player could leave for free in a few months anyway. While he is a good player and most would rather he would stay, he isn't in my opinion as good as some of the other central midfielders at the club. Andrew Shinnie, Greg Tansey and the currently long term injured Welsh international Owain Tudur Jones would probably be regarded as better options at this time. It's also the case that the club captain and former striker Richie Foran seems to have been converted to a defensive midfielder recently and has produced some admirable performances, again perhaps leaving Cox out of the starting eleven. And finally, what can Swindon fans expect of Lee? A hard battling central midfielder, who won't shy away from a challenge, can pick a pass and will chip in with the odd goal now and then. His attitude too is maybe something to mention. This can also be seen from when he first came to Inverness from Leicester City. Before the start of the season, he hurt his arm badly after falling through a glass table! Despite being advised to take a break and not risk further injury to it, he was adamant that he would play anyway, and did so while wearing a very noticeable cast. During this time he produced some excellent performances, which perhaps sums up the attitude he has as a player and another attribute which he will bring to Swindon Town.4 points

IMO, Jonny isn't going to go anywhere he's not going to be playing....not in his nature. I don't think he'll go in this window...and whether or not he goes in the Summer will depend on what he can do between now and the end of the season (to attract interest) where he thinks ICT are heading next season and whether or not he thinks that will provide him with room to grow/develop any more. I don't buy the argument that we should blow any money coming in on giving him an enhanced contract. The club can't break even as it is, and getting the books to balance is far more important than any individual player. I we can't afford to give proper childs prices for a 5th round cup match, then there's no way we can afford to blow money on increased player wages.2 points

Whatever Swindon paid for Cox is probably press speculation but that aside no Luke we shouldn't hand it all to Hayes. This club has a structure of reward for players and it has served us well for many years and kept us out of debt. Hayes will be offered the best we can afford to pay him, as will any other player. If he then feels, just like Blackie did, that earning big bucks is the way forward then he'll need to look elsewhere and we'll need to find a replacement. This club has a very difficult job trying to balance the books and, indeed, we are somewhat indebted to board members for puting their hands in their own pockets to keep us afloat this last couple of years. It would be follie to break away from the structure we have for one player. Perhaps if Jonny was bringing additional fans in by his performances then an increase could be justified but thats not happening.2 points

Spoken to a few people who are being put off by the price...the £15 concession seems to be a particular turn-off and is by far the most expensive of the round with every other game offering a £5 child ticket of some kind (even Rangers v Dundee Utd).2 points

Personally I think the press get their stories from this and other websites. There's always someone who knows someone who said something or there's the twitter comment that someone is adamant means something other than what it actually meant and low and behold we have strong rumour. Lazy journalism has a lot to answer for in this country.2 points

I think the enforced changes so far this season will be our making in the chase for a Top 6. Most players have all had a bit of game time with each other now and the only "System" they are familiar with is a changing one. We've seen Butcher make 7 changes and the team go out and give an equally impressive performance to the team from the previous game. Players should take confidence in that and Butcher should embrace it. Going in to games where the only thing the opposition can expect is that we're not likely to do the same as we did the week before can be a big plus. As for Nick Ross, it's good to see him stepping up and putting himself into positions and situations where he is being noticed and where he is willing to have a go. OK, so it didn't pay off form him in terms of shots on target on Saturday, but he's also cutting the opposition defence to shreds with intelligent play and through balls....and the more chances you create, the more goals you will eventually score. There's not a player in our squad right now who doesn't deserve to have their name on the teamsheet for any given match....and that's going to worry other teams more than it should be worrying us.1 point

Doesn't get away from the fact that ALL other fixtures make some kind of effort to provide tickets for a variety of budgets....we have a flat rate £20/£15 throughout and there's no excuse for it, IMO. It's all fair and well to play the "in the current climate" card....but it does nothing but fuel the viscous circle that is dragging the game down. When/how do we break that circle if we continue to sell out to the opposition at the expense of building our own base? What would happen if that option was no longer there? Who would the club be looking to then to dig them out of the chit? Clubs constantly go on about how hard it is to attract fans away from the top 2 and get them following the local team....yet here we are handing them everything they want on a plate. How much does the pound made today cost us in the future?1 point

Our club has a history of losing its best players at the end of one season and then not noticing they're gone the next.1 point

Why have you only shown the top prices Alex? I can assure you that I went through them all and EVERY match has a £5 child ticket available, including Hearts (although a couple are U12). St Mirren even have a £2 ticket available. I totally appreciate the need to maximise revenue....but it does piss me off when that's taken too far and infuriates me even more when it's then thrown in fans faces that if they don't pay up then we'll just sell seats to the opposition. The club could make a decent amount from the game AND still look after their own. After all, this is almost certainly a "bonus" in terms of the income that was budgeted for the season...is it really so important that we get £70,000 instead of say £50,000 (purely theoretical figures)??? I understand that the same price needs to be charged for the same seats in either end and that causes some issues in operating the usual family section, but why not use the West Stand to offer something that's better value for OUR fans. Make it the Family Section and charge £10 adult, £5 Child. Do it because it's the right thing to do and don't be handing it to the opposition because we can squeeze more money out of them. What value do we place on an extra 1000 HOME fans and the support that gives the team? Don't get me wrong, I'm of the opinion that Inverness does not give ICT the support it deserves, but sometimes we make it far too easy for people to make the decision to stay at home. When it comes down to it though, whatever way you try and justify the prices, the fact remains that ICT Fans (and some of them I would class as fairly die hard in the past) are deciding not to attend because they feel the price is not justifiable. If the die hards are turning their back on matches because of price, how on earth do we expect to attract new fans? Cup games have, as far as I can remember, always been cheaper because they were seen as a way to draw in new fans, get them caught up in the cup atmosphere and hope they come back more regularly....a philosophy that has long since been thrown out the window, and which is only adding to the long list of things that are killing the game.1 point

Are the prices not agreed by both clubs involved? Its a difficult one to deal with though. Do they drastically reduce prices in the hope of filling the stadium or do they keep prices up knowing they wont fill the stadium. The fact is, if there was no such thing as segregation we'd probably sell out to Celtic fans. Someone earlier suggested there were 1000 home seats available. Would all those seats be filled if the prices were lower. At the end of the day the club need to maximise income and probably base the prices on expected numbers. If they know they can maximise the away figures at the prices set then thats what they're going to do. Its a shame we're in a situation where we cant fill the home stands with home supporters for such games but thats the way things are. I'm willing to bet though, that if we were to reach a final, we'd have no problem taking a very large contingent to Hampden. All of whom will willingly pay the gate prices set by the SFA. As a matter of interest the prices for other SPL clubs this weekend are: Aberdeen ---- £18/£16 ----- Concessions £12/£10 Hibs ------------£20 ----------- " " " " " " " £10 Motherwell ----£15 -----------" " " " £10 Rangers -------£20 ----------- " " " " £13 St Mirren ------£15 ----------- " " " " £10 Hearts are top secret unless I register with their e-ticketing system.1 point

It never fails to amaze me that whilst the positive's in terms of performances and points have increased over the past six weeks it still is insufficient to stop certain 'fans' taking the opportunity to lay into players for no good reason. Gillet has Imrie in his pocket for most of the game (until he switched to the other side) yet apparently he is 'hopeless' Nick Ross, aside from his shooting, was one of the better players on the day perhaps, but apparently he is 'Dross'. It is fine for people to excert their right to free speach and opinion, however perhaps a bit of perspective would not go amiss??1 point

Cant just go pying certain players way more than others. It causes resentment and division. Stick to the wage structure.....if Johnny goes...so be it, i reckon he may well regret it, for all sorts of reasons1 point

And where are they now these 20,000 folk. Don't see massive queues locked out of Victoria Park every weekend. Trust me they were made up of part time supporters and old firm fans who will soon need to make a choice if County manage to go up. Good luck to them with that, but it's not my concern.1 point

As someone myself who was allegedly once on the radar of Swindon in Bert Head's days, can I say the above assessment is very fair. Lee will focus on his football and is determined to be a success. We have been able to rehabilitate many players e.g. Barry Robson at Middlesborough. Lee is now able to tough it out with the best of players and is fearless in a tackle. I was not. He also has a good engine on him. He is very fair in tackles and bookings seem rare.1 point

It may be old news so forgive me if I have missed comment about this, but I am surprised to have seen no mention on this forum about Gregory Tade and Kenny Gillet helping out at Milburn Academy with French lessons. I think this is a brilliant initiative and should help to encourage more youngsters to get involved with club. It is a good example of what being a community club is all about. A big well done to all concerned, but especially to Gregory and Kenny. And now that Claude has signed, they've got a supply teacher as back up.1 point
