Why can't Levein accept that playing Tokely and Munro would have guaranteed us the win!!!5 points

I hope it will get better too but I'm 100% sure we won't get any points from Aberdeen tomorrow. ;) Laurence is a divvy The coop gives us Divvy We need a dividend todayi I will be supporting a different team today, definitely not supporting ICT. "Ah well" I can put it down to old age? My 70th year But I can't because as a young man I travelled to Tranmere from Rossendale when the match was off I once went to Bury for a night match in the freezing cold , to find out the game had been played in the afternoon I had my ticket for the Chelsea v Wimbledon semi-final , I was buying my train ticket , when the booking clerk noticing my scarf said " You do know the match was this morning ; and Chelsea won and your team lost." It was a nice train journey anyway, and I got back in time to watch Murray But I am a Divvy that's for sure3 points

Not once have I referred to the transfer iof Munro etc. Why bother--it's in the past and cannot be altered in any way, shape or form? All I am saying is stop gurning and whining and try just giving the Manager some needed support just for once. It's so stale that one has to wonder if someone somewhere is worried about losing some money over a bet or whatever? This is the last time I am going to look at this thread because it is so depressing and negative in parts.2 points

I said I would not see this thread again. But I can still see the typewriter keys under the dark glasses though and my perceptions are that this record is well and truly broken. What a bunch of poor hapless supporters some of you are. The first time something doesn't go exactly right for you, you lose it completely. Did it ever occur to you that now is the time to come together and support both the team and the club 100%--it's so easy to be a so-called supporter when the team is on the crest of the wave. But do you get up in the morning repeating your daily mantra--"I must remember to kick the dog when he is down today." Shame on you. That's it--I'm off this thread permanently now. Would I not just love to see ICT thoroughly beat Aberdeen today and put all yer gases at a peep.1 point

IMO, the thread has longs since stopped being about Butcher and is now nothing more than a c*ck measuring competition between users on either side of the discussion trying to outdo each other. It's been a while, but I actually agree with IHE's last post!!!1 point

Personally I do not want rid - but as Bronson alluded to there are similarities.... ;-)1 point

What puzzles me is the fact folk on here are wanting rooney back but if you dare mention Munro or Tokely returning then hell mend you !!1 point

Bughtmaster - your comment about nobody commanding the defence is spot on and one that I had'nt considered before. I feel that Ryan does not appear to be as imposing and as voiciferous an influence as he has been in the past. And we aint got anybody who probably feels experienced enough or at the club long enough to take on that role. King is probably the only one who has more proven experience and leadership qualities requisite for the role. That is another reason why I feel that Foran really stood out when he played in the "sweeper" role. It is however a very intersting and valid observation. In fact who do we have other than Foran ? I have said a lot but nobody appears to wish to challenge me and as there were some worthy posters at the game I can only suspect that they either agree or are scared of me !! You do not always have to be privy to the dressing room discussions to make observations and comments about tactics. To recap briefly - Foran was MOM by a country mile, he was often effective but the ploy was overused, with no apparent back up, and poor Richie looked fecked in the last 20 minutes; I havent noticed if we always use the no cover on the near post ploy at corners before but it was a clear tactic before and after the first goal and was being quite loudly pointed out by a number of fans at the game at the time. All I was alluding to there is that it certainly isnt a traditional tactic in fact many oldies, including maself, would frown on it. In Many ways it could be put down to Esson but that is a fair degree of goalmouth and angles that have to be covered when there is nobody standing guard at the front post. By the way the rear post was always covered and always by Shinnie; I can see the logic in double teaming Higdon but I question whether Well had been watched in regard to the danger of Humphrey. It could well be that McCall should get the credit for doing his homework on us. My main beef there was Butcher's clear faulting of Shinnie and Draper but that was brilliant wing play with a lad with a lot of pace; Heads did go down after the Raven mistake and you could feel the expectancy die in the stands; We could well have really got back in the game if not for two great saves by Randolph and a further error by A Shinnie which again produced a very well executed fourth goal. Finally I dont think Meekings is a SPL center half but he and especially Warren put in a great shift. I also thought that Raven had defended well before his error and Shinnie had recovered after a start when he was left alone to deal with Humphrey. That is why I felt that it wasnt particularly the defence that had let us down, as alluded to by Butcher, but it was more to do with the middle of the park and the tactics employed. I suppose that it also really cheesed me off that Butcher projected the blame on the players, singling some out when I feel that he should be keeping that to the dressing room and taking on - or even accepting - some of the blame himself. By the way we far from outplayed Muvversmell - we matched them for long periods.1 point
