  2. What is quite evident to me during my 3 years as a member here , is that just about everybody is happy with the Crystal Palace/ Barcelona style Red and blue stripes .. it gives the Club real identity in Scotland and to a lesser degree, the UK. I still believe it is important , the roots of the club are not forgotten , and is quite visible with that popular strip. Why those on the Top table , never seem to listen to the majority of supporters , on issues such as the playing strip , I really don't know. Meanwhile I happily acknowledge it is a great time , for anybody with some form of affection towards the Inverness Caley Thistle Footbal Club.

  4. For me, this is 100% true! I started following ICT in 1996 as a 7 year old and have no affiliation with the two old clubs, however, i am well aware of the merger history and i like to personally remember both teams and their histories and even go as far to say i support them BOTH. This is because to me, Caley and Thistle are like older brothers who created the finest club the Highlands have ever seen. This is why, like me, we should CELEBRATE the merger and stop bickering about it! And with the whole strip thing.... If you were to ask any of my generation, what is ICTs identity? I believe the vast majority would say blue and red stripes. We're coming up to the 20th anniversary of our formation and in 2014 we will have a new home shirt. I would love it if the club would draw a line under the past and look to the future and say "We Are ICT, And This Is Our Identity" and bring out a 50/50 blue and red striped home shirt! Ditch the white and black or like the current away, white and black can be the away shirt colours. Crystal Palace are the only other team in the British Isles who sport red/blue stripes and we would be the only ones in Scotland. If like this season (so far) assaulting the top of the table becomes a regular occurance, we need to have an identity so that those the world over know exactly who the MIGHTY ICT ARE!!

  5. Crowds are dropping all over the UK and Europe and it's pretty obvious to me that the problem is money, not just the cost of the match ticket but the travel and everything else that goes with it. Since things started to bite I haven't been able to make it up to a game for 3 or 4 years now. I imagine there's many like me who'd love to be there every week, whether the team are winning and 2nd in the league or not, but it ain't gonna happen in the current climate. So if we make it to a Hampden final this year and I can make it up the road for just that match, please don't slag me off, or any others in a similar position, as floaters or glory-hunters. Just be happy that there are more there that week to swell the numbers and the coffers of the club, and be grateful if you are in the fortunate position of being able to get to a game every week.

  6. I'll make a plea to the club to go back to solid red and blue vertical stripes for the next home top. Please!

  7. I don't think the club should be trying to make the strips similar to caley or thistles previous strips and at the end of the day ICT are a new club, probably better to move on and let ICT have its own traditions like Kits etc. Personally think this years home kit is one of the nicest in the league anyway.

  10. OTJ deserves all the accolades he gets on here, a truly great player. Since we got our act together each player in the team in his own right has deserved every bit of praise given and each has been outstanding at some point or other but the wonderfull thing is the way the team is playing for eachother, a true team spirit manifesting itself in points on the table. A team of players from keeper to strikers hell bent in showing that they are capable of overcoming any mishaps and striving to make ammends no matter what the odds. Perhaps Mr Bannerman will one day write another book, a book about this team and entitle it ''No matter the odds'' because I have a strong feeling about this squad going down in history. The potential is there the desire appears to be there and what they have accomplished so far is phenominal. It is a pleasure to feel we are witnessing a success story.

  11. Id rather be alongside 3000 LOYAL supporters than have a crowd of 5500 with 2000 'johnny come latelys'

  12. The sooner we all realise that the vast majority of those purchasing and wearing the strips these days have little or no concern for how much either of the merger clubs are represented, the better....and I include the club in that. I'm all for remembering ICTs roots and recognising the merged clubs histories as part of our own, but I do fear that there exists an underlying fear of upsetting one half or the other of the merger contingent in many things which holds us back as a club. As I said above, those people are a small and ever shrinking proportion of the current fanbase and it's ridiculous that they should still hold, or think they hold, any sway with what should be happening today.
