  1. I can understand the elderly wanting to avoid the crush, but why not leave after the crush? If I was in that position I would watch the end of the game, stay seated, rummage in my pockets for any Wherther's Original that had escaped me earlier and then get up and go when the exits were clear.

  3. I think we might be safe from relegation now! Our 37 points matches the highest ever for a relegated team (us) and our GD is currently 33 better than it was then. I declare that phase 1 of our mission has been accomplished.

  7. What hassle have they caused the club? Pretty much everything you have said could be applied to things said in CTO by posters with different views. Does that make CTO "too outspoken"? You obviously feel they are a bad thing and it would seem so do for other 'section E lads' but all I can see is fellow (presumably young) fans doing their bit to try and get behind the club. While they may not do and say everything to your liking at least they are making an effort which is more then can be said for many of our supporters. The last FB status I noticed from them was encouraging people to get behind the team and purchase tickets for the semi final. Truly shocking. asking the club whether they could do interviews, the club saying no, and them going ahead with it anyway. as a fans page they should be raising questions not putting over their views, by saying things like ''jason oswells ****'' they are clueless. its horrendously run. i dont know what they are posting as i unliked them. its easy to say things from behind a keyboard but actually doing something is an all together different thing. I'm not going to excuse behaviour that is unacceptable but my understanding was that they were told to stop after the interviews and they did, however if it was as you say then clearly that was not the right thing to do. As an independent fans page tbh as long as they are not passing themselves off as something they aren't (though I've been told this wasn't always the case) and it's not illegal, libelous etc then surely they can say what they like? You seem to be hung up on one comment that they are entitled to make just like you are entitled to disagree with it. Posters on this site have made ridiculous comments in the past that does't mean that everyone on here is clueless. Of course it's easy to say things from behind a keyboard but you do see the irony of that comment being made on an internet forum? I've no idea who they are and maybe you do but for all I know they have 4 mods who all started to clap at 6 minutes but no one joined in. Perhaps they aren't confident enough to start if if themselves, but thought it was a good idea? At least they cared enough to come up with the idea, which is more than most. My point is that they (like you) clearly have a passion for the club which is great, though their case it is misplaced sometimes. While they don't get it right all the time from what I have seen, particularly recently they seem to be on a better track and their heart appears in the right place. Ironically in the past I'm sure that you recall that people in the past have called the section E (formerly G) group a hassle and leveled complaints (rightly or wrongly) in their direction for poor judgement too.

  8. And why one of these two teams should have such a stranglehold on a vital and major facility like the Northern Meeting Park to the exclusion of many others, I will never understand. The Inverness City problem could have been solved years ago and much more satisfactorily if they had been allowed to go there while Inverness's two cricket clubs shared Fraser Park.

  10. Maybe McGlynn hasn't got us down as being in the same bracket as Kilmarnock and St Johnstone and sees us being better than them and is actually being respectful to us?

Dubai and Egypt can be quite good at this time of year.Clark Robertson especially looked like an Oompa Loompa after a sunbed and was utter gash today Hayes has already trotted out the let fans down excuse on twitter, well maybe instead of getting yourself pissed for a week in Dubai.... Apparently "if you take the 3 goals out of it, there was nothing in it" C/O Craig Brown 5pm 19th January. Craig Brown, the Aberdeen manager, admitted that his team’s reaction to the loss of the first goal had been poor, but he argued that three goals flattered Inverness. “We have a goalie who has made one save in the game, and he has let in three goals. Every time Inverness had a goal attempt, they scored. If you analyse the possession, it was probably quite even.” MATCH STATS Possession41%59%90minsInverness Caledonian ThistleAberdeenInverness Caledonian Thistle: 59% Shots

  13. And also roughly 8 years ago to when the club returned to the Caledonian Stadium under player/manager Craig Brewster and went on a run of 7 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses from the third round of SPL games, securing our survival in the SPL much against everyone's expectation.

  16. Great opportunity to remind everyone of England's 1938 shame! untitled.png Shame? England won 6 -3! This is actually quite interesting and my comment above is not entirely tongue in cheek. It is, of course easy to regard the Nazi salute as shameful in hindsight but however uncomfortable it may be, one really needs to see it in the context of the time. The match was pre-war but clearly there were huge tensions. The German government saw the game much as they had seen the '36 Olympic games as an opportunity to demonstrate to the world the superiority of the German race. Whilst Hitler was not at the game, most of the other leading Nazis were. There was a crowd of 110,000 expecting another German victory to extend their 14 game unbeaten run. The English officials (in consultation with the British Government) did much agonising about whether to give the salute or not. The view was that to refuse would be seen as a petulant gesture which would just ensure the hostility of the crowd and, more importantly, the wider German people and Government. Give them respect in the formal pleasantries and give them a beating on the park where it matters was the view. They did just that rounding off with a superb Stanley Matthews goal to seal a great victory. At the time this was seen as real setback to Germany in their propaganda campaign. Had England not given the salute and then been on the receiving end of a 6 - 3 scoreline the boost to the propaganda of the Nazi regime would have been huge. In retrospect I think it is fair to say giving the salute was a mistake. Snubbing the Nazi's by refusing to salute and then giving them a hiding on the park in front of such a huge crowd would have doubly deflating for them. But of course, because of the terrible events that followed, it is the picture of the salute that is the enduring image and the impact of the match on the German people at the time is forgotten. But we stray off topic. Had he been there as an honorary Englishman, what would wee Gordon Strachan have done? Would he have followed instructions and given the salute? No. I think he would have done this
