  2. I have some very good news for all those kind hearted people who donated to the Cup Final Surfer Flags. You all bought into a vision and collectively we created our very first ICT giant flags for the club. 1st ones in 20 years I have wanted to announce this for quite a few weeks but 1st wanted to make sure the head count was correct and also wanted to remind those who said they would donate, to actually donate, without telling them of the outcome Being a community club and a proactive club, the chairman and I wanted to reward those who gave but did not expect anything in return. For the individuals who donated towards the flags there are various prizes on offer to be drawn at a later date. The prizes are as follows. 1st prize A signed shirt from our very first cup final. equal 2nd and 3rd is a pennant and a signed photo from the glorious great escape semi final, containing 5 players looking pleased with themselves. 4th prize is a poster of the fans which has been signed by the players. On top of that. Its been a great season and to pass on that feel good factor, every single person who donated towards the flags will each receive a miniature flag of their choice and I more or less know which flags to order due to the private poll carried out over the past few weeks. These have yet to be ordered so we are probably a few weeks away from getting any sent out. Special Thanks to. The fan who contacted me regarding the supplier. Don for Designing the flags. Peter our safety officer for advice at the design stages. Our Chairman Kenny Cameron, for listening to a fan with an idea, for the continual support, the prizes, collecting the money and also contributing to the flags. CJT for their collections, contributions and for offering help to get the flags out on display. Caleythistleonline for the paypal links and the publicity. All the sponsors. The club and players. And lastly the nuts and bolts of the club, You. Whether you contributed or not, they are Your Flags and represent you and your club. If you are a bit miffed that you have missed out on the above, there are also some cracking prizes that the club have made available to the 1st 1000 season ticket holders and the early bird season ticket prices finish tomorrow, 6th June, so if you get your skates on, not only do you get money off your season ticket you might win something too. :ictscarf: :ictscarf: :ictscarf: :ictscarf: :ictscarf: :ictscarf: The 12th Man.

  3. Ordering my first season ticket this morning, getting one for the missus aswell. If next season can produce even half of the top moments last season did i will be a happy man. Have to admit i am not 100% set on Hughes at the minute but it's the coming season he will be judged on, i hope he can prove us all wrong.

  4. ICT don't charge for the school visits....they are also extending the programme to cover approx 180 schools over the next 12 months. To add a bit of context to that.....Scotland has a total of just over 2000 primary schools. Not only will we be covering the largest geographic region, I believe they will be visiting more schools than ANY other club in the UK.

  7. To be fair Dougal you are probably the best person to compare the home match day experience for both clubs.

  8. Terry Butcher was manager at ICT for 207 games (206 really as he was still officially manager when supping hospitality at Easter Road!). In that time he oversaw 86 victories, 57 draws and 64 defeats. We could ALL pull out examples of where he did well or where he did badly in those 200+ games to prove our own viewpoint. As I said elsewhere ... I thank him for what he did do at Inverness, it is appreciated, and I will look fondly upon that time, but he chose to disrespect us, the club, and his players in the manner in which he chose to depart and for that he deserves every little managerial pitfall and setback that comes his way. I will take a little bit of pleasure from each and every moment ..... until he is finally sacked from Hibs.

  9. P&B is just impossible. Full of vermin who think the phrase 'touch of a rapist' makes them into Billy Connolly. Mention who you would play in any position in a team and you get "he's p!$h". Any attempt to get a more coherent answer out of who should play there, gets the "anybody but him" or "my granny" or something equally uninsightful but never a reasonable suggestion. The merest hint of differing over football tactics gets a chorus of "shut down this thread" with the 'no bigotry' rule pushed beyond breaking point. Unfortunately, so many forums just degenrate to that. Look at the Scotsman for isntance. No way are the majority of those cretins ever buying anything without a red top. I'd love a genuine Scottish forum that could just talk tactics, players and managers in a really dull Alan Hansen way. That's what football is for me, far more than overhead-kicked goals and trophies. Not spectacular and boring probably to many but fascinating to me.

  10. I won't be happy until we have a climate controlled stadium with a retractable roof quite frankly. That'll show em'. Also still waiting for the pole dancers in the sports bar, could be a real money spinner.

  12. Nareystoepoker is run by a poster on here called hislopsoffsideagain. It's a good read. I'd also recommend having a look at The Terrace which, whilst not a football forum, has a lot of interesting articles on their site as well as a pretty well informed podcast that is recorded twice a week during the season. Most of the guys on it now support teams in the lower leagues but their opinions are normally spot on. SPLStats on Twitter is probably quite well known to most but Craig Anderson also has a website as well which has a few blogs on there as well. Finally, Andrew Southwick runs The Away End which covers a wide range of sports. Football coverage seems to have taken a back seat from what I can recall but could be worth checking out.

  13. And they said it would never last. Perfectly entitled to discuss his merits on this forum. If you don't want to read it, don't open it. Simples

  14. Is the measure of how good / well run a club is based on criteria like "how many stands do they have?" Airdrie have a ground with four sides / stands. Are they a better side / better run than us?

  15. Find the notion that Aberdeen are going places quite amusing. Realistically the only way they can improve on last season is by finishing one place higher in the league. Winning a cup and finishing in the top 3 is the best they, or pretty much any SPL club outside Celtic, can hope to achieve. Looking at European competition the way Scottish Football is at the moment I would expect most of the SPFLs representatives to be bumped out after a couple of games. The only ones likely to go any further MAY be Celtic but more than likely they will have whimpered out by Christmas as well

  16. Just for the record, as a man I never liked him. I was a happy clapper but am now putting the boot in. Can't see any problem with that.

  17. Maybe as a Ross County supporter you just don't understand us? I think the reason for our current fascination with our immediately-previous manager and his current (mis-)fortunes was adequately explained by Scotty's last post. If he had done badly with us and left we would be relieved. If he had done well and then left in good terms we would be mildly interested. But that he did well with ICT where he had failed with others, then decided to flip us off (as our American cousins colourfully refer to it) and boast about going on to better things before making a spectacular ****-up of it is a source of endless fascination and amusement for us, the supposed "wee people" he has "left behind". Karma.

  20. Regarding the free-ish shirts Ross County are 'giving away' Youngsters have to pay £25 to watch the games and get a free shirt. There is an advertising slogan for fresh natural white fish called 'Simply Cod' (which contains 54% fish) If we had an advertising slogan for our youngsters to get it to the matches it would be called 'Simply Free' (100% free entry) No catches no gimmicks, under 12s go free. For the rest of us the early bird prices finish tomorrow.

  22. If Mr McGregor has money to burn on shirts and free buses to away games then so be it. Let him spend it. Why do we need to be compared to them anyway? We are the ones who've been top six last two seasons. They are the ones favourite for the drop.

  23. Ross County accounts for year ending June 2013 (most recent available) show that they lost around £3 Million for season 2012/13....and increased the clubs debts as a result. Don't believe everything (anything) you read in the press. Ross County are far from "living within their means" and Roy MacGregor is not paying for everything.....they are racking up debt hand over fist and it is only sustainable so long as they have someone who's willing to put their name against it. He could walk away tomorrow and leave the club with massive debts and little or no means by which to pay them. Look at Gretna, Livingston (twice), Hearts, Rangers, Dundee (twice), Dunfermline, Clydebank, Morton, Airdrie....all clubs who paid the price for putting blind faith in Owners/Chairman who all tried to gain/maintain success doing the exact same thing. I have zero desire to see ICTFC operating in a manner akin to anything that Ross County are doing.

  24. We simply don't have a club or a chairman that goes in for self aggrandisement. Other than that we at least equal and often exceed the on and off the field activities of our neighbours.

    • Aaron Doran - Club Legend
Shameful: Thanks to Shane Sutherland, the generosity of friends, fans, former colleagues and opponents, Aaron has now had his operation. However it has emerged that he had posted on Instagram regarding his sad dismissal and treatment from the Board of Inverness CT who have treated Aaron in a similar way to which they have been treating the fans. Let's not forget that Aaron was due to have a testimonial for his service to the club.

    • Administration pending unless...
Administration pending, unless... How can we go from SupercaleygoballisticCelticareatrocious in the year 2000, to Scottish Cup Winners in 2015, playing in Europe and just 9 years after lifting the Cup; Administration. Mismanagement and our demise was hastened by the appointment of Scot Gardiner. Ever since then, ludicrous decision making has seen our stock plummet whilst 'shady' dealings were investigated. The failed Concert Company, the Battery Storage, the Statkraft contract have all ended badly leaving the club facing insolvency.

That's another fine mess you've got us into.

      Chairman Ross Morrison resigns

Nothing official from the club as we speak, but the Inverness Courier are running with a story that Ross Morrison has resigned at 18:00 tonight 3rd June.  More to come as this story develops, but most fans are looking for more heads to roll.

Speaking exclusively to The Inverness Courier, Mr Morrison said he is leaving now because of the aftermath of the Fife move. “I believe it [the move to Fife] is the best way forward and I have to stick with my beliefs,” Mr Morrison said. “This is the reason I'm stepping down now.”

Reflecting on his time with the Caley Thistle, Mr Morrison said: “My six-year tenure with the club has had some great and some not so great times but through everything I was immensely proud to be the chairman of the club and clubs I’ve supported for 50 years - I was a Jaggie by the way.

“I would ask the fans to rally round the club at this time and show their support by not only purchasing their season tickets but also getting involved directly with the club to see how they can help.

“Hearing fans saying they would prefer administration to training the first team in Kelty sent a shiver down my spine. Administration is a desperate thing to happen to a club and must, at all cost, not happen to ICTFC.”
