  1. Its all well and good to say that but we have now said that the last few weeks Sitting 3rd in the league, approaching April, and people still find something to be negative about. That might just be because getting beaten yet again by a very mediocre Partick side is something to be negative about.
  2. I wish we were 3rd in the league in a good position for Europe & maybe in the semi final of the Scottish Cup. I`m not asking a lot.
  3. Its all well and good to say that but we have now said that the last few weeks Sitting 3rd in the league, approaching April, and people still find something to be negative about. I think it's a measure of higher expectations for our high flyers these days Smee - but a win at Firhill is never one of my expectations...
  4. Celtic take maybe 3000 fans when they visit us but not all travel from Glasgow as large numbers come from "local" supporters clubs and places closer to Inverness. In addition, easier to get the number of buses from Glasgow than it is to get from Inverness. It is not therefore a like for like comparison and this is not a league game but a cup semi final.
  5. It was quite frustrating to watch. We had 5 defenders on who were told not to overload attacks and they didn't contribute to putting balls in the box. The midfield didn't link with Marley who really isn't a striker. The duo of Williams and Christie were always outnumbered by the extra man in midfield. The team were told not to counter attack. Because Partick (and other teams) know we like to play short passes they gear up and diffuse this by committing more bodies to the man in possession knowing we won't apply a long raking pass to a man in space, once we get hounded the ball goes long. In short, this makes for a stuffy and congested game with as much attacking ambition as 4-6-0. we had such a strong bench yesterday I didn't think Devine needed to be in the back line. We could have played 4-5-1 with Doran and Marley on the wings with Ofere up top without Partick causing any more damage than they did.
  6. There's Something About Mary.....hill.
  7. Ironically, apart from his presence in the air, the one thing that has really stood out about Ofere at the home games is his excellent ball control at least when he receives the ball to feet. I would love to see a "front four" of Ofere with Doran, Christie and Watkins behind. That is where Watkins has been best.

I know Partick are something of a bogey team. However, even if this was a blip (it's not given bad recent league form), this result is mildly disappointing purely based on relative table positions ... And that would be the case in any league the world over. Just because we are Inverness doesn't mean we shouldn't aim higher still ... Or at least do a better job of consolidating what we have. It's almost as if, because we are relatively new to this lofty position, we feel as though we don't deserve it, we're not worthy. We do deserve it, we are worthy and seeing Aberdeen drop points today before our kick-off we should have been fired up to make inroads on 2nd place. Yes we are delighted with what the team has achieved this season so far but why stop now? Even Graeme Shinnie said in the P & J today that he really wants us to really drive on to the end this season unlike the tail end of the last two ... His words.
  9. A poor poor result. Change of attitude going into these games is needed. No negative comments from management team that can be interpreted as defeat is acceptable going forward please. Every game is winnable - anything less is unacceptable. Not happy.
