  1. FT - ICT 1-1 Kilmarnock. We equalised with a 95th minute goal. Talk was the number 9 was the new trialist by the way. He looked nothing special.

Butcher started all this tosh about Foran taking over as manager. I understand why, dangling a carrot to keep a (then) key player at the club, and also talking up his buddy (or 'co-dependant' as our resident psychologist would say). But from the clubs point of view, it's a terrible idea. He has zero managerial experience of any kind at any level. It's a recipe for disaster. Jobs for the boys might be business as usual at Highland League level, but we're a Premier League club now.

How do you know he hasn't?

Over to you Kenny and the board. Absolutely shocking he hasn't been offered a contract extension!

Talking about singing, I've just seen the prices for the Rod Stewart concert at the stadium for next June. Eye watering! I've no intention of going, so it doesn't affect me, but does the club make any money out of this? Or does Rod pocket it all himself?! Even 10% of the ticket price receipts would be a windfall. But even if he trousers the lot, it could still be an opportunity to cash-in on the hospitality / refreshments side. If say, the expected 20,000 fans spent a fiver each... The tickets are £125 (limited), £95, £75 and £55 plus the inevitable 'booking fee'! Using £75 as a guide, 75 x 20,000 = £1,500,000. (one-and-a-half-million quid!). Sailing? He should be flying, earning that for one evenings work! I don't wanna, talk about it....

No way should Foran manage ICT until he has cut his teeth in the lower leagues. JH is both Manager and Coach he has changed our style of play. In fact not since the days of Steve Paterson has ICT been so attractive to watch. We need stable management, coaching and scouting if we are to progress so yes, i would offer JH a contract extension now. let's not repeat history where we waited for an approach from Aberdeen before offering Paterson a 5 year contract. Let's face it, if a manager is at a club which has to consistently sell/release it's best players it's not going to take much to turn his head and move on. If he has security of employment it is a different situation. I am sure Dundee Utd and Motherwell would love to have him as their Manager. Utd in particular have a lot of talented youngsters which would appeal to JH in terms of building a team.

Thanks. Thought it was more than 2,200. It must be at least 2,500 as our record crowd is 7,753 against the former Glasgow Rangers and you are right about the Main Stand capacity.

Fairly sure north and south stands are 2500 capacity each. Main stand 2280. And west terracing around 400?
  9. Anybody could see that he was the best attacking left backs in the country last season, and only had to watch the semifinal for the evidence, particularly the winning goal. So i am glad he is getting the belated recognition, and it will benefit Scotland. Whoever he ends up with, and he ought to be able to go a lot further than Aberdeen, he will always be one of ours.
  10. This is a good draw for us. Let's hope we can get to another cup semi....Hearts at Easter Road for the 3rd time in 4 years?

SP - Aberdeen probably had nearer 3000 supporters today so still no real uptake in our support unfortunately.
  12. Celtic away with Meekings scoring a dubious winner off his shoulder.
  13. Same old story from Scotland managers who think if you play for the Old Firm, you clearly are better than all the other players from the other clubs in Scotland. One more reason to despise the Old Firm and central belt media.
  14. Just a few things to add to what has already been posted. Best performance first half that we have had for a good few months, pace and movement off the ball was excellent and Christie and Storey played exceptionally well. Aberdeen changed their formation in the second half moving Shinnie to left back and then had a better balance to the team. We did help them however by sitting far too deep and being slow to support on the few forward breaks we had but minor quibbles in a thoroughly enjoyable game despite the best efforts of the referee and Derek McInnes to spoil it. The referee's performance yesterday was up there as one of the worst I have witnessed for many a year. He did seem to be trying his hardest to get Aberdeen into the game by giving a succession of free kicks (which were very very dubious) on the edge of the box and missing blatant fouls by Aberdeen players. Seemed very quick to book our players and react to shouts from Aberdeen players and their bench where McInnes was at it the whole game claiming for everything, complaining that our players were not being booked and generally trying to influence the game. Very disappointed with the antics of Shinnie and Rooney as well yesterday. Shinnie was going down at the merest touch and Rooney seemed to spend most of the time claiming for non existent fouls or our keeper wasting time. Thankfully this did not cost us the game but something seriously needs to be done on the quality of refereeing.
  15. Fantasic result, especially as it was against the recently crowned league champions!!
  16. He did ? Aberdeen are in the same league as us mind ! He is playing against stiffer opposition. Hes now playing against -Us
  17. It's pretty a standard red top story but it is a bit galling to read it at face value and assume that he has only been playing at this level since he went to Aberdeen. Apart from maybe a wee dip in form around the start of this year Shinnie has been a consistently outstanding performer for about two seasons now. He is playing no better at Aberdeen than he was with us. He has deserved a call up for a long time now and whilst I am disappointed he never got that chance with us it's great to see that he is finally getting the recognition he deserves.
