  1. Great moment ... loved the bit where Gary Warren then briefly sat on concrete wall a bit like Strachan celebrating versus West Germany in 86.

Nope - three. See "An Idiot's Guide to Counting".
  3. Obviously I'm a lot happier than I was a fortnight ago! We were particularly excellent in the first half hour, creating several chances and playing through the opposing midfield at will. Not sure why St Johnstone left Murray Davidson on the bench; without his running, they didn't press us at all. Vigurs was running the show in the first half. Frustratingly we didn't get the goal we deserved though, partly because of the outstanding Alan Mannus and partly because of some poor finishing. When Davidson came on at half-time, the game became far more even and I wouldn't say we were especially on top when we scored. The goal reminded me of the one Falkirk scored against us in the Cup Final - a terrific free kick delivery from the by-line and a crashing header at the back post. It was no less than Ross Draper deserved - he was terrific and might have had a hat-trick but for Mannus. The way we sat in after that was alarming though. Sure, St J made some attacking switches, but suddenly we were playing with 10 men within 25 yards of our own goal. The visitors were getting a lot of joy down our left flank before Foster scored - Billy King just wasn't tracking him when he crept forward. Cracking finish, though. Credit to Richie for the subs he made though - I'm not sure it was a gung-ho "I want to win this" attitude, rather more a feeling that bringing on more forwards would force us to abandon the defensive mindset we'd ended up in. The two up worked really well in the circumstances and we were unlucky not to have scored before Meekings forced in the winner from a stramash that would have made Arthur Montford proud. Lots of positives - I thought our back four played really well, and the workrate and attitude of the team was top drawer. The major concern has still got to be up front - who's our best option? Fisher's linkup play was very good early doors, but he spurned one really good chance and I thought his touch was more erratic after that. I thought Shaughnessy dominated him in the air a bit too. But he gives us a much more direct option than Boden (who was really bright off the bench). Doumbouya? Too early to say. He looks clumsy as anything, but I thought that of Ofere too, and he turned out alright. Still bottom, but hopefully onwards and upwards from here on in.
  4. what a brilliant picture!!!!
  5. i know we won't, but i'd like to see us start against aberdeen with a similar 4-4-2 set-up to the way we finished there... anyway...WE WON!!!!!!!!
  6. Downside today was all the empty seats and, in particular, mine. Had to be in for a delivery which was late. Gutted to have missed the game but delighted that the lads delivered today. From the previous home games I think Givmeaccccc sums up my feelings of the way the team is playing. I get the sense that regardless of where we finish at the end of the season, games are going to be far more entertaining than last year. This is the message that needs to get out to those who don't attend regularly so that they can be persuaded to come back with the promise of being entertained whether we win or lose. If the style of play can bring in more folk then that not only brings in more cash for the club, it creates more atmosphere and support for the team.
  7. I got more enjoyment and entertainment in 90 minutes today than all of last season. Excellent performance, and boy could you see how much it meant to the manager and the players at the end. Great all round performance.
  8. Just back from my trip up to Inverness. Very enjoyable match and a deserved win. Good to see Ritchie going for the winner late on by putting on 3 forwards, even though I thought Fisher had been quite good before he was subbed. Best for me was that my golfing chums I had in tow all thought that it was a good match and that the standard was better than they had expected. Hope that is the turning point for our league season and that we will now steadily climb to mid table or above.
  9. Stunned that 4 people thought Finnie was good???? guy is a complete ***

  11. Can't believe these reports after Tynie but music to the ears. Suspect that Richie did get angry and bollicked them all into having a discussion about themselves. Also benched Raven, Boden and Mulranney who were the three big let downs in Embra. Tansey and Vigurs and Polworth were probably lucky that there was no one to take over. Let's hope that Tynie was a learning curve for all concerned.
  12. Must admit I didn't realise just how bad a record Saint Johnstone had up in Inverness. I guess our record in Perth must be clouding my judgement. Regardless, it was a much improved performance compared to recent weeks and the players looked much more like a team and were showing what they can be capable of. Players like Tansey, who has been below par for a number of months now, had a really good game and Horner, in for the benched Raven, did fine at Rb despite a couple of early wobbles. Fisher justified his selection ahead of Boden as he won a number of high balls although his finishing was still a bit poor but he was a handful for the Saint Johnstone centre backs throughout the game. man of the Match for me was Draper who yet again took the game by the scruff of the neck and really get the ball down and drive at the Saints defence more often than not drawing a foul. He may not have the guile of someone like Andrew Shinnie but he is an immensely powerful attacking force to drive you forward and he's been the only real highlight for ICT so far this season. I thought both teams were quite well matched in the first half. We had more of the ball and probably had more chances overall but Saints also had a couple of good opportunities to grab a goal. After a good save by Mannus from a Draper header Fisher passed up a couple of glorious chances, including one from a sublime chipped pass from Vigurs, before King ended a lovely ICT move by flashing a shot wide of goal. Saints has good chances too with Kane blasting over after good work by Swanson down the Inverness right flank and the same player chipped in a wonderful ball for Maclean but it just eluded him and drifted wide. Opening goal was a brilliant free kick whipped in by Tansey putting the keeper under real pressure and, as alluded to elsewhere, was quite similar to the goal that Falkirk scored against us in the Scottish Cup Final, with Draper rising above Davidson to power the ball into the net. Really good goal. Not long after this Davidson met a cross with a glancing header that just sailed wide of the home goal but Saints did pull level when ICT struggled to clear their lines and Maclean won a header and laid it off to Foster who had been let go by King and the former County man rifled in a cracking equaliser. A good strike but disappointing to concede after a momentary loss of concentration. Draper nearly put us back ahead when another header on goal was this time saved by Mannus who was having a storming game but we got a deserved winner after chaotic scenes in the penalty area. Warren, Meekings, Boden all tried to poke the ball home from close range before Meekings squeezed it in at the post to bag the three points. Mulraney should have made the game safe when he burst through one on one with Mannus but he skewed his shot well wide of the goal. Certainly a deserved win. not quite perfect but a marked improvement from recent games. Good on Foran for dropping players who have under performed recently. Nothing against Raven but he hasn't been playing well recently and Horner did fine stepping in at RB. Doumbouya looked a handful when he came on. Not very quick but good at holding the ball up and linking with team mates. Good be an asset but he isn't very different from Fisher or Boden. A nippy striker might be useful to have however I suspect we'll be strengthening the defence over getting another forward in. Foran has said we should have two new faces before the wind shuts. Will be interesting to see what is lined up.
  13. Two before wed http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/transfer-news-live-latest-rumours-8681061 What Josh injury? Wasn't injured when he scored yesterday. Doran is also back and on bench. Who should we drop to allow him a start?

I think we all know the answer to the question. Will Celtic be priced as a category A or B match. Regarding away travel. It's really handy for Virgin trains to encourage all supporters to attend more away games for the cost of £20. Using trains perhaps? Which to me shines a light over CJT who with a far smaller budget and far less competition for buses can also provide travel throughout Scotland and still cap it at £20

Not sure if you're taking the p***.... clearly couldn't show a picture of an ICT one, because there isn't. the Toronto scarf was actually the first one i could find on the ol' Google to demonstrate what I was talking about..
  16. My 100% record for games attended remains intact. The new striker looked very good when he came on late. The team looked motivated today, seems I should be here for every game.
  17. Great performance and effort from all today and the team will now have the belief to win games, simples. Ross Draper take a bow you were fantastic today!
  18. Two assists by Marley Watkins and Barnsley third in the Championship.
  19. Have you thought about changing supplier?

Why would ICTFC fans want Toronto mini scarves? Out of interest.....would there by any demand for an ICTFC Buff type product? Perhaps a "Pride of the Highlands" design? (let the innuendo commence)
  21. Absolutely. It's just like when I have an issue with my Internet connection, I put a post up in an unofficial forum and expect BT to get in touch, when they don't I get all upset and repeat my complaint ad nauseum. I certainly wouldn't contact BT directly to try and resolve it, that would be ridiculous.

Can't blame them, that's a helluva price for a Partick match.
