  1. ffs, that's why a lot of people don't go to these games
  2. County have 21 points from 29 games. At the same stage last year, with a rookie manager way out of his depth and a terrible injury list, we had 24!
  3. Agree if theyd been that desperate theyd have put the USH on overnight USH is proving a bit of a white elephant if no one can afford to run it
  4. Almost at the stage where I would like to see us win the Challenge Cup and then put this eminently forgettable season behind us now and concentrate on preparing to hit the ground running next season for a proper promotion push.
  5. aye and like the council I haven't an effin clue how to find answers to any of them. you have too much time on your hands Charles
  6. After today, it's looking increasingly likely that we will be facing County in the league next season.
  7. the unfortunate situation in football is that is normally always "other peoples" money that keeps clubs afloat. it's just that we don't seem to spend it very well or manage to attract sufficient income.
  8. He was there to promote the Edinburgh derby. I have no issue with that.
  9. At the very least it's worth a try.
  10. Thankfully we are not all unsociable darts players - Look forward to seeing you.
  11. But if it wasn't and it was called off after ICT fans and players had started travelling they'd get dogs abuse for not calling it off earlier. Regardless, it seems that Livi haven't made much of an effort to get the pitch ready anyway. Snow was only cleared off it the other day and they don't use their USH anymore either. They could have had this game go ahead but they, like ICT, don't make the same effort as they would have done if they were in the top tier.
  12. I'd count my other half as a glory Hunter as she only goes to cup semis, finals and European ties. Wow, on sale a day earlier to ST holders! I'll need to get there early to beat the rush.?
  13. We have been spoiled in recent years. When we set out on this great adventure nearly quarter of a century ago, I am sure most of us would have settled for watching a full time team playing in either of the top two divisions.
  14. I would say that at present we are and average Championship side - what the feck is wrong with that ?
  15. While not a direct answer to your question Charles, I do think we need to start rearing more of our own players and give them a chance. This is something we have never truly done, maybe the players haven't been good enough although I personally think not all of them got the chances they deserved. Rearing our own players and then, hopefully selling them on for a profit, has to be part of the way forward for us.
  16. I should perhaps instead have said - this HAS ALREADY DEVELOPED into the mother of all fixtures backlogs!
  17. This thread is absolutely hilarious. here I am wiping the tears of laughter from my eyes and neither of the two well read protagonists are willing to yield. How long can it go on?Anybody interested in setting up a bet? Mr. Tenacious versus Mr. Steady-wins- the- Race. are up and at 'em for the last round in this exciting bout of verbal and verbiose fisticuffs. On the one hand there is chippy Charles with a vocabulary so deep that he feels the need to divest himself of most of it at every post and turn. And Caley D whose measured tones belie a rapidly developing skill in speech delivery which is designed to polish and enhance his excellent past commentaries of the matches that the color cameras had used to enlighten my days on a Saturday when ICT were playing on home soil. Two dauntless dragons of dickering - with knobs on. Alas, alack, such days have goneth with the wind and yond Scarlet now hath a mean and hungry look. Such men are (not THAT) dangerous. Beware the Tides of March though 'cos they may sweep youse aff yer feet....especially when the much vaunted Chas is insisting on going down to the park in his Wellie bates to examine conditions prior to making a decision on whether to buy a new Caley scarf or not. O.K. Back to the Canucks game and the pipe and slippers.
  18. That would do me perfect , 5 minuets from ma house ?
  19. Caleyboy, I sometimes wonder if you have more agendas than an entire volume of Highland Council Minutes??
  20. aye. here he comes again for the sake of football and the city. my erse!!!!!!!! has a lot to do with poor management by his puppets.
  21. I think you will find that the more suspicious minded of us will view DS buying 250k shares might have been to head off the Savage/McGilvary approach and re-ignite the patch confrontation!
