  1. I have a season ticket for home games, but I hardly ever go to away games - the time and money commitment is more than I could manage. However I often think about how impressive the level of commitment from fans who travel to all the away games is, especially on the coldest of winter days or when away matches are cancelled at short notice. Well done and thanks to those of you who fly the flag for Caley Thistle at games around the country throughout the season.

Who can forget the goal at Tynecastle when he turned Stephane Mahe and struck it past Niemi, or the 4 against Ayr, or the many goals in routine dismantlings of County, plus the two late ones to give us a 3-3 draw at TCS at New Year. He even passed on his 2 season tickets at St Mirren so Naelifts and I could get in. What a gent.
  3. No Vigurs for Saturday. His absence will be massive.
  4. Wow....this is great! Saturday is massive!

He only played with Stewart a few times in 2000 and he was never at the club at the same time as Brian Thomson. He had his best partnerships with Paul Ritchie from 2001 until 2003 and then a purple patch in the SPL when he and Craig Dargo combined. Looking back he didn’t have the pace or power to make an impact as a striker at the top level but playing in the First division his touch and finishing ability elevated him to a different level. The guy was a joy to watch and fitted perfectly into our team at the time. The run we went on before Pele left in the winter of 2002 has to be some of the best football I’ve ever seen from us, bodying teams left!right and centre. Glorious.
  6. If he'd had his way, he would have dragged another ten punters from the Stag's Head along with him.
  7. Good to hear things are moving in a positive and amicable direction.
  8. A meeting was held last night and information on the agreement reached on how things will move forward to an SGM (and when) will be issued as soon as a couple of details can be nailed down.
  9. How long since Dougal posted his Fans Boycott thread?
  10. Well said, Sir! I'm glad that those who were enthusiastically posting on the 'Robertson Out' thread earlier in the season have cause to think again.... Gutted I can't go on Saturday as I'm working
  11. Yes, but it really is one game at a time from now.
  12. Step forward Charlie Trafford, and Liam Polworth, and Aaron Doran, and Connor Bell!
  13. Saturday's crowd is not actually as important as the result. Current results keeping our season alive but the odds are very much in Dunfermline's favour.
  14. Hearty congratulations to all in the team! And, of course, John Robertson who has clearly worked very hard to get this far after a poor start. Very gratifying for him indeed. If it all works out according to plan then John will definitely have a bright future with ICT. My heart started to palpate when I finished reading this thread! Goodness Gracious, must be life in the old dog yet? Saturday is massive. Will be fantastic if the stadium is packed to the gunwales. This team deserves it fully. How I wish I could come over the Pond for this one. I mean standing beside IHE is worth the thousands of miles alone. Exciting. YESSSSSS.
  15. We were completely dominant without playing very well. Dumbarton were stuffy, even after the goal, and we struggled to find any space around their box. Doran, Austin and Oakley were ineffectual in this environment, but Polly and Vigurs kept plugging away and both created and missed decent chances. The goal brought scenes of joy and relief - you could really see how much it meant to the players. Their work-rate was incredible and they deserve huge credit for this run. From the look on Warren's face when he came off and from the way he was hobbling about in the stand later on, he's not going to be back any time soon. Some folk may be relaxed about this because Brad and Coll generally look solid together, but i'm concerned that we'll be exposed at right-back on Saturday, and in any other big games that may arise after that.
  16. 5 down, 3 to go. Took us until December to accumulate 5 league wins (and two of them were against Brechin), yet now we have 5 in one month and it’s only the 18th!
  17. I love these Robbo late season run-ins a la 2004 but can we have it a wee bitty smoother next year please guv, I canna take much more!!!

not to mention being an absolute gentleman.
  19. Last night at Dumbarton was ridiculous. Everyone standing was told to sit down no matter where they were and even if they weren't obstructing anyone's view. Gary Warren sat in the stand after his injury and the stewards made him empty his water bottle into a cup. Stewards seemed friendly enough, just ridiculously officious.
