Is it true that the flood of tears spilt over Yvonne's departure added to the aquifer effect last night and caused the water logging ?

Was looking for something else on the official site and came across one of the ICT25 blogs buried on there .... Seems Jim Falconer our club secretary is retiring at the end of the season. . I am sure plenty folk may have known this but it hadnt reached this side of the pond or been mentioned on here as far as I know so wanted to start this topic to thank him for all his years with the club .... https://ictfc.com/ict-25-blog-jim-falconer If you want to talk about unsung heroes of our club over the last 25 years then JF is likely one of the biggest ones. I am surprised and saddened that he is retiring as those will be humongous shoes to fill ... but happy and appreciative for all the work he has put into the club in the background for each of those 25 years. Thank You Jim. I think the sign I have on my own desk at works sums things up about my perception of your role ...... Happy Retirement !

Jimmy has been an integral part of ICTFC over the last 25 years and has made a huge contribution over the years. I wish him a long and happy retirement.
  5. Looking forward to a great day out with great people. Who cares if it's an early start, we are going to HAMPDEN for the semi final of the BIG cup!!

Which is pretty reasonable for a semi final especially bearing in mind that, right now, the club needs every penny.

I am happy to support the Trust as long as it remembers how important the 10% voting right is to protect our roots.
  8. I much prefer to be actually at the game, for the atmosphere, the craic, the buzz, singing, being with friends. It’s certainly not the same sitting at home with no atmosphere and I’d feel silly singing on my own! Also the bus trips to ICT away days are more enjoyable than driving the short distance to the stadium. I know I could go to the pub to watch the game, but that’s not my style, I’d rather travel to wherever ICT play.
  9. Earlier in the week I bet my eldest son that we wouldn't get beaten this evening. I think that technically I should be in a position to collect.

He did not exactly endear himself in 1993-94 (well to some of us) but he has stuck by his guns and one of the few standing from the early days. Always has a wee word to say and will be sorely missed. And we need a falconer the scare of those nasty birds circling the Longman.

If anyone deserved the title of Mr ICTFC...it's Jimmy.

Totally agree! How often are these opportunities going to come round? The KO time is what is is but nothing would persuade me to stay at home and watch on telly. The boys have worked so hard to get here and deserve our support. Ticket prices for behind the goal (whichever end we are given) are £20 adults and £10 for u16s and over 65s. Im not sure anyone would have expected any cheaper? Counting down the days tbh
  13. one drop of rain and they call it of i once went to a aberdeen v rangers game pitch was under water but game still went on they are to soft now

What do we care what the 'English game' thinks? The fact is that the SFA have no choice about kick off time it's either then or 5.15pm. Can't understand why it's a problem for a Jambo who'll be travelling less time than my daily commute. Missing out on a Scottish Cup semi-final is your choice. I'll certainly be there with my 2 kids, these occasions don't come along often. I haven't seen the prices as yet but I'm not surprised that they're likely a disgrace.

The Daily Record report that was referenced said that he had been invited, presumably by the SFA, to a meeting with all parties, to discuss arrangements for the semi. He wasn't going on a crusade to change the date or time. He wasn't "only [doing it] to try to avoid further criticism". But he's right to take the opportunity to complain about it.
  16. Folks moaning about times & locations. Its known that Glasgow & Hampden is the location for cup semi finals and has been for years so really don't see all the fuss. As for times, the game has to be outwith the 3pm scheduled games so its either a 12.15KO or 5.30 - if the later time was chosen then I'm sure there would be more complaints its too late in the day and folks will travel home in the dark and maybe even have to miss their dinner. On a Sunday public transport is more limited - put us on an early Sunday time and fans might not make it at all and on late they will complain as they have work the next day or that its interfering with the Sabbath. We have had about 5 Hampden visits in 25 years so hardly worth getting all upset about - plenty other clubs & fans would love to be in a cup semi - lets focus on the prize rather than the inconvenience of having to get up at 6am on a weekend on one occasion!!!!
  17. Can we not, for once, give credit for a sensible decision made in good time thus minimising inconvenience and expense for everyone ? We have often been critical, often rightly so, of little consideration being given to fans. Here we have a decision that does give us consideration and still some folk carp and complain.
