Ridiculous to have organised this event when we were away to Morton. Fans had to make a choice and those that decided to travel to Greenock to support the team are obviously not regarded as true supporters. Whereas people who were given free tickets to this bash are the future. Look forward to seeing them en masse in Dumfries on Tuesday night.

Regardless of how it was meant to read .It is disrespectful to the fans who travelled to Greenock yesterday .It will be interesting to see how many of the “true fans “ will be making the journey to Dumfries with us on Tuesday. Makes me wonder why we bother in all weathers .....Oh yes it’s because we are fans !!

Gosh - the Travel Club will have to book at least two more buses for all Jim’s true ICT supporters to come to Dumfries on Tuesday evening after giving up going to Greenock for the joys of spending money in Drumossie Hotel.

Suppose that's one way to reconnect with the fan base...
  5. We need to stop this long ball. Can't remember last time White won a header in the air. He doesn't jump. Toddy came on and went for everything in the air. Few changes for tuesday nights game

I still find it absolutely astonishing that there is still a lunatic fringe within our support that think rank and file fans mean something to the guardians of this club. I very much doubt there were any true supporters in the Drummossie last night. You could probably count them on one hand at a push. Hall of Fame more like Hall of Shame Dougal
  7. I thought we were ok yesterday but we suffered from the fact that Morton, having scored the early goal, were never tempted to open up at any point. We'll never know if the opening goal was offside unless someone else was filming it but the defence has attempted to play him off and he's taken the goal really well. That happens. Terrible mistake from Donaldson for the second - the kind of mistake that he's always got in him - I wonder if Robbo is tempted to bring Brad in on Tuesday as a wake-up call (WAKE UP COLL!). We've got lots of options in the forward areas now, and Robbo started with a surprising combination. Deprived of space, they took a lot of shots from distance and tight angles, struggling to create clear-cut chances. When the subs were made, the shape didn't change but we were on top in the game and the four of them were already playing very high so I'm not sure what else Robbi could do. I felt throughout the second-half that we were more likely to score. Bit of 'heads gone' on this thread, which is understandable - we've blown a great chance to cement ourselves in the top 4, but this league is very tight and we could still find ourselves top of it on Saturday night.

And what about those supporters who made neither due to not living in the country for example? It was a daft comment to make on Facebook by Jim Oliver, at best naive and at worst crass & insensitive. There's no such thing as a 'true' supporter, anyone who supports the club in any shape or form is more than welcome.
  9. Playing Jordan changes the way in which we play the game and this was clear from the two Alloa matches. Having movement from Curry gave the midfield and wide players options and forced the defenders to cover both in front and behind. With White there is less movement as a front unit and as a result we change to a direct long ball. Jordan is not Higdon or Brewster however and invariably we lose possession when the ball goes forward. He will not run in general behind the defence and therefore it become easier to defend in front only with a deep midfielder closing down the space and we lose possession. We lack edge up front both in terms of general play and goal threat. If we stop the errors at the back this will help but without a true goal threat it is hard to see how anything other than a playoff place is achievable. Should add that I don’t think Todorov is the answer and I don’t think the manager does either!
  10. I’ll be there and would be delighted to see your team selection there, excluding Storey and Doran and including Carson and Walsh. Now thats my dream team - would make long journey and lack of sleep so worthwhile.
  11. That sums things up nicely. We have been inconsistent, had some lucky breaks and some unlucky ones, but probably only have one stand out performance, the 5-0 against Morton. We can have a good season but need to find consistency or we will be sucked into the mid table pack. Big week coming up with Queen of the South and Dundee United. Four points should be our minimum target, but it wouldn’t surprise me if we only got one or even none. As someone has said in this thread, we need to get a grip.
  12. Dreadful game. Absolutely mind numbingly awful attempts at football from us. Long thump forward seemed to be the order of the day which got us the square root of fuck all. Bizarre that we persisted with this for so long. Is Welsh the only midfielder we have capable of getting the ball down and playing a pass? Not sure what happened with the opener. Our defence all seemed to stop and claim offside instead of playing to the whistle and McHugh finished well. If he was offside then it's a bit crap but at the same time that's extremely naive of us to just stop and assume we'll get a decision. Well taken goal from Curry to bring us back into it. After that it was mostly us with the ball creating nothing of note before a Donaldson brain fart let McHugh in again and he finished well for the second time in the game. Whilst a draw was probably a fair result I'm finding it hard to feel too hard done by despite losing. Far too many players off the boil at the minute (McCart has looked a shadow of the player he had been after his public rinsing by Robertson after Partick) and our approach to the game was brutal. If I type any more I'll just get angry. Nowhere near good enough. Heads gone etc...
  13. First half we played a lot of decent stuff middle to front, loads of crosses from the byline. Defensively very poor though. Second half was awful, just a long punt up the park with Keatings not looking interested in battling for that kind of service. Howler from Donaldson for the winner.

Why on earth can't both those who made the long and ultimately fruitless journey to Greenock and those who attended the event last night be regarded as true and committed supporters ? It seems to me that any arrogance is coming from one source.
  15. Wow that first Morton goal was just too easy for them.

You can interpret what he meant by true in many ways and I don't think he was meaning it in the way you have taken it Buster.
  17. Robbo needs to take a look at himself dunno if he's the man to take us back to the promised land! Don't mean to blow my own trumpet but I did say that at the start of the season and when it comes to fussball I no my ****
