You don't rate Robbo's signings but then say that we've got the best squad outside of Dundee United!?
  2. Greetings Joseph, RC have always been THE highland club simply because they have been around much longer than ICT. As someone mentioned, much of the support has come from people who have moved to Inverness, at the cup final I sat with two girls born in Inverness who had travelled from France and Canada, the club had 15,000 supporters that day most I reckon from outside Inverness. When I moved north during the Paterson years I was entertained by the style of football his team played and which led to many Scottish Cup upsets Celtic (twice) Hearts away, Motherwell away when we were still a 1st division team, few had taken notice of what was being built in Inverness which eventually culminated in the SC win and third in the league. The club then shot themselves in both feet, however, Livingstone have shown that these days can come again. That said the game has changed for supporters, the days of turning up paying your money and standing with your pals discussing the game have gone and the game is poorer for it.
  3. not necessarily ... for anyone "new" it may take more conversations/meetings/talks to make sure the interest is genuine and for the benefit of the club .... both sides need to do their due diligence and be sure its a good fit. Thats a lot more challenging than simply re-engaging with people who have previously been involved. Our current chairman is not only a club official, but was also a bonafide season ticket holding fan before that .... I have faith he is working hard behind the scenes to make sure any money and/or people coming in are coming in for the right reasons.
  4. There is, very definitely, an apathy towards ICT from within the City. Some blame the merger but this was 25 years ago now. Looks like old wounds will never heal in respect of this. Those born after the merger should have no say in what went on back in the day. These children would have mainly been brought up with parents supporting one of those big clubs from Glasgow - in effect glory hunters. I too am from England and I came across Caledonian FC back in 1978. I've been following them every since. I didn't want the two clubs to merge but it happened anyway and I accepted it. ICT have given me some great times over the years and I've been to over 200 games (a 900+ miles round trip for home games).
  5. It's a move in the right direction, Especially when there seems to be little other meaningful advice from our fan base. That should sum it up. And therefore these two gentlemen should be given the courtesy of heartfelt appreciation and best wishes and support for the future. As for Mr. Robertson, some hefty encouragement is now in order! He has a contract and the terms must be met on both sides . Currently, continual support seems to be favoured over dismissal for obvious reasons. Even with the best support, the best team sometimes stumbles unexpectedly. Encouragement is necessary now to improve the atmosphere in the dressing room and negative criticism must be measured and done privately, neither in front of the other team members nor in public. It's easy to blame the manager but.....time will tell.
  6. Welcome to the forum Joseph. Inverness has expanded massively in the last twenty five years and the influx of incomers to the area has been huge so much so you really struggle to hear an Invernessian accent in the stands during home games at times. Ross county have as many Inverness born and bred supporters if not more so than ICT astonishing that may sound but it’s true. Think there are a number of reasons for this but Inverness has never embraced ICT and continue to not do so. The so called guardians 25 years ago got it so terribly wrong the stench still remains today lingering about in the city all be it not so strong. Time being a great healer and that I suppose. We do attract fans out with the city from the likes of your rural Aberdeenshire’s, Chorley and Caithness yokels Etc but they also seem to have the baggage of being old firm fans. As Inverness keeps expanding let’s hope more incomers arrive and swell the attendances at the dump Dougal
  7. If the club goes to the wall, then nothing happens on the pitch ?‍♂️
  8. Really sorry but shurely the main focus has to be sorting out how we are performing ON the pitch ?
  9. What scares me is that I can pick out Jack Waddington and Lizi with their arms interlinked !!
  10. Our last Female representative was well supported. ?
  11. I know very little about these 2 returning directors and so can't comment specifically about what they may bring to the table. But just as a general point, I don't see this as a step backwards either. I don't know what their reasons for having stepped down previously but they may have been due to clashes with Board members at the time or they may have been personal. The thing is that they now feel willing and able to serve on the Board again and have the distinct advantage of knowing what they are coming into. No doubt we'll hear more in due course, but on the face of it it seems like a very welcome development to me.
  12. One wife’s enough for me, ugly or otherwise.
  13. I've not seen anything from Storey that suggests he has any attributes other than pace, he constantly miscontrols the ball or just kicks it too far ahead of himself. He has had plenty opportunities to score as well - as have most of our forwards.

And you'll stump up the compensation due to him for terminating his contract?

Get a grip man the club can't afford to sack him regardless of what some fans think so he is going nowhere! Given our financial situation we have to stick with what we have and hope for improvements.

No not a snap decision bud just haven't seen much in Robbo either in the main his signings or tactics! I'd just take the bull by the horns let him go now there's plenty managers out there would jump at the chance to come here! Aye well make the play offs with or without Robbo end of the day wev still got the best squad outwith dufc in the league just underachieving at the moment!
